BIOGRAPHY My name is Spasoje Radomilovic,I was born on may 27th 1987 in Knin, Croatia. From my earliest days, my favorite games were playing with building materials, creating forms and shapes witch mimic real buildings. This passion for creating and playing architecture has been my driving force ever since. Therefore, I had easy choice what to study, and what will be my preoccupation of professional life. Following my high interest, I finished High School in Sremska Mitrovica (*construction technician), and in 2006 I moved to Novi Sad to study architecture at the University of Novi Sad. Being aware of the importance to my professional and personal development, in 2009 with my closest friends and colleagues I formed student group „A7“. Here I gained my first teamwork experience, and excellent results in competitions. After receiving my degree in Master of Architecture, I started to working at KANA Arhitekti ( Belgrade) in February 2013. Having started as an junior architect, my approach to work and architecture has given me incredible opportunity to lead the team on international competition, successfully. So, I was able to attain the project leader position very soon and continued successfully working on various projects.

NEW BELGRADE BLOCK 42 Our proposal is based on the idea of creating an Intermodal transportation system by designing a terminal which would combine rail, bus and metro traffic in the single hub. At the same time, this terminal will present a new landmark of New Belgrade. The project emphasizes the creation of urban scenes which would initiate the regeneration the public life of New Belgrade by providing human scale spaces for local residents. Public buildings, with their form, color and volume create a background for public activities and various forms of events.

SPASOJE RADOMILOVIC | PORTFOLIO | PROFESSIONAL WORK |12

The concept of intermodal terminals is on the line of contemporary EU policy development of sustainable urban transport system and determined the strategic development of the City of Belgrade. Given that the culture of sustainable urban mobility in Belgrade, still not sufficiently developed, this terminal would be in addition to its functional role have also and transformative social role of promoting new forms of non-motorized transport, which play an important part in the change of consciousness in the field of environmental protection, energy efficiency and development of the economy rely on their own resources.

PALIC SPA and HOTEL COMPLEX Palic is characterized by a clear orthogonal disposition of land with the dominant traffic routes. Fields are extending east- west or north-south . Traffic and pedestrian network of streets intersected zone plots. Nearness of the coast have formed a gathering zones - focal point . Pedestrian routes connecting the focal points and at the same time open visual corridors to the lake . The process of urban planning involves multiple approaches. They are categorized in two main principles : Adaptation of the built environment to the environmental conditions , and, Creation of building environment that is inconsistent with the context in order to create new space .

Urban planning principles and adoption of environmental characteristics tends to create a unique program- spatial entities. Urban plan requires systematization. Project of Resort Palic as a starting point for a systematic approach to design takes orthogonal network of Vojvodina fields. Positions given plains , their spatial rhythm, alternating colors for the time being , main transport route as the dominant axis of communication , creating a dynamic composition sets the framework for further artistic expression . Compositional pattern formed by the given element has initiated geometry of spatial structure within a given location .

FIELDS Architecture of the tourist complex in Palic comes from the conditions of context. Borders of buildings, baseline is taking rhythmic matrix plots from fields. After the positioning of objects within a given allotment concept rhythmic alternation area on the ground, implemented at all levels of design in the framework of the functional organization of space and forming masses. The result of this approach is a clear form geometry, without pretending to dominance and extravagance, with dynamic expressions in the horizontal and vertical plane.

NOVIGRAD CITY SQUARE

SPASOJE RADOMILOVIC | PORTFOLIO | PROFESSIONAL WORK |24

This space is very specific because it represents meeting point of different structures- park, sea and the city. On the main square we create blank space as much as possible because of changeable character of this space. Way of using the space is defined by specific organisation of event on it, so it leaves full flexibility. Park next to main square has big urban value because it creates possibility for various ways of using this space. Our suggestion is to use its value and to improve it by adding subtl intervention that suit different functions and different users.

BELGOROD 3 BLOCK The goal of the project „block3“ , is to create architecture that provides high-quality space for living within a modular grid. This concept tends to combine the qualities of the Designer City and developmental possibilities of mass production. Practically, it represents a standardized grid, witch is fill by standardized modules 18m by 18m. These modules, and their combinations, are leaving us a maximum of freedom for the content. The basic module is designed as a unit (staircase with the apartments it serves) with flexibility to host other functions (parking, office space, storage...). Its flexibility allows it to adapt to any conditions of the location or function. It

can be used as a connecting element which creates a strong front on the street, or as an element that connects the base units on upper floors with the aim of increasing the density of housing. The Belgorod „block3“, was designed as a platform for the creation of cohousing communities. This approach of the urban planing, compared to the conventional approach, provides far better space for living and working. This design approach allows us, to increase the social interactions, to stimulate the formation of active communities that base their organisation on their common interest and ultimately create safer space for young social groups.

HOTEL CARINE BAOSICI Primary aspect of context for this project is the sea shore and, at the same time, its greatest potential. Surrounding of location, in terms of built structure, has no strong character or intensity that would in any way serve as inspiration, or starting point in concept development for this project. Main goal of this project was not to create a resort type of hotel but rather a new town square, a vibrant part of this sleepy city. This approach significantly upgraded quality of urbanism both on micro and macro location, creating a city center this small town needs. New urban center was formed on following criteria: orientation toward the sea, visual and physical communication with it physical association with traditional Mediterranean town- narrow streets, viewpoints, introvert town squares, terrace (sloped) descend toward the sea.

KNOT Stands for intertwining of different people — their fates, thoughts, wishes, hopes. Place where people meet, a social playground, square without square. Multifunctional pavilion designed for various events and games. Knot consists of three cubes, each on different levels — promenade, lower bank and water. It feels as if all elements belong together as one, unable to function apart from each other. It is on passers to choose their own path and start interacting with other people. They are not limited as in conventional two way streets. Style is sharp, energetic, chaotic, yet in perfect balance, a combination of lights and shadows, white and black. The simple forms produce an unequalled effect. Knot represents pure philosophy of simplicity

and essentialism. Depending of people’s cre-ativity, pavilion develops and melts with society and surroundings. Knot allows people to pick its typology and function and use it on their own manner. In central axis of the pavilion passerby have a choice! Leave and go back in the safety of his shell or just cross the bridge as silent walker with no connection with other people. Or he will stay, turn around himself and explore? Walk down to the water: touch the nature in the heart of the city or go to the higher level towards light and spirituality? Maybe he will just stay, enjoy the object and replenish his batteries. Pavilion represents knot, inner battle of the individual with himself, other people, nature.
