Zines / Reading experience Conversation / People 小誌、閱讀、對話、人群 Facing the digital age, we get used to the overwhelming visual excitements on the social media and platform. Then, why do we need the real book ? Why do we need zines or art book fair ? 面對數位時代,人們習慣於網上爆量的視覺 刺激,插畫產業也不意外。那為什麼需要實 體書呢?藝術小誌?或是年度盛行於世界的 藝術書展?

BUSHWA's notebook Vol. 2 《段子集 2》 Collection of my daily draft and illustrations in three different sizes; loose-leaf binding frees the book into seperate pieces, and readers can arrange the pages ramdomly. 《段子集 2》是我在 2019 推出的合輯,並收錄了於 上半年的草圖與創作。活頁裝幀讓筆記本的個性更 加明顯,並讓讀者自由排列組合每一張作品。

Who is that weirdo in the hat? Johnny 是誰? Johnny, it's an asexual, silly, clever and a bit weird figure, just like most of us. Most of the time it's the heart of the story. Johnny, 我插畫作品裡的主要角 色,它是個無性別的人類,兼具 愚笨與智慧,有些古怪,就像大 多數的我們。而生活經驗則是我 的靈感來源之一。


YUM YUM《唔嘛唔嘛》 2018, 18.5 x 120 cm A story about eating; whatever Johnny (the charactor in my illustration) eat, he is always entangled by the thrones that grow from things he eat along the way. 這是一本關於「吃」的故事。 愛吃的主角強尼,在路上吃了蘋果、西瓜、 梨子 ... 無論他吃什麼,荊棘叢總會從排泄 物裡長出來,纏繞著他,一路刺回他身上。

Don't Panic 《莫慌》,2019 This year, I released my new zine"Don't Panic", a book relating to the dark side nd the white lies. Readers need to flip the pages on both sides at the same time to understand the story; the first two pages are the appearance of things, and the following pages show the true, dark sides of the stories.

Illustrate / Breathe / Heal Illustration is my daily habit, just as natural as breathing. Inside the frame, the daily self-conversations and experiences become the figures, the stories and my universe. 插畫已成為我的生活習慣,和呼吸般自 然。過程中,將生活經驗與自我對話轉 化為角色與故事,建構出自己的小宇宙。

An Apple a Day 2019, pencil how an apple analyzed itself : 1. Kill the self-ego 2. Peel off the cover 3. Take a look 4. "Naked" 5. Pick a figure 6. Be it and be cute.

"Every Second", 2018 Which clock is yours? What time is it? We only got 24 hours a day, however, some moments in our lives seem are timeless; like the 7 AM in the morning, my mom woke me up with tender; like 4 PM in the afternoon, summer breeze on the way back home.

"What's going on? How it feels like?" This work was based on the short novel "Spring Beauty" by Taiwanese writer Yi Ging Lou, and I wanted to how the literariness can be created in illustration, obtaining the logic and pace of the article at the same time.

"What can Johnny Be?" Johnny is just a name, human is just a form, art is just a word. So what can Johnny be? It can be a shadow, it can be a glass of water, it can even be an apple on the treetop. (next page: "Wait for what?")

Collaboration/ Clothing/ Product 商業合作、服飾、商品發展 How did it feel like when seeing others wearing your creation? The answer would: "It's so crazy, and appreciate the love." In the making process, I got to wonder where the illustrations can bring me to? And how far can it reach? 若看到自己的作品被穿上,更登上時 裝帳號的文章中,感覺如何?我的回 答肯定是:「棒極了!也很感謝受到 喜愛。」與台中 Alone 合作的過程中, 我也思索著插畫可以帶我到哪呢? 多遠?多廣?多久?

Exchange student in CAFA 央美的交換生活 In 2018, I got a chance to study at CAFA(Central Academy of Fine Arts) in Beijingcas an exchange student for half year. In CAFA, I went through quite a lot of discussion about the boundery between art and design and the diolouge within(during the semester, I also took the lessons in performance art, bioart and social practice). 在二年級下半年至北京中央美術學院交 換,那期間學習與旅行密不可分。課程上 我休習了許多有趣的課程,除了視覺設計 外,也包括生物藝術、行為藝術、投影創 作等課程,和城市設計學院一同往敦煌考 察,一路由山水甘肅往北。
