In recognition of this accomplishment they will receive free Whataburgers for an entire year!

ongratulations to the Whatakid of the month, Saige Sealy! The Region X freshmen resides in San Saba, Texas and is a competitor in the barrel racing, pole bending, breakaway roping, goat tying and team roping. The all around cowgirl is passionate about the sport; however, she doesn’t have a favorite event. “Each event is unique and each event presents a different challenge,” Saige said. While this is her first year as a member of the
8
THSRA, she competed in the Junior High Division three years. Throughout the time she has spent in this organization she said she has learned how to cope with different obstacles and overcome adversities due to the maturity rodeo has helped her develop. Her favorite part of the organization is the friends she has made and the opportunity to rodeo with some of the best competitors in the nation. As a national qualifier, Saige seems pretty knowledgeable on the caliber of competition, and what exactly it takes to make it to the top. In 2016, Saige qualified for Junior High National Finals in the pole bending and the breakaway roping, and she qualified for the short round on the state level in the barrel racing and team roping. While talent and hard work make up a large percentage of the success we see in the rodeo arena, our equine athletes have an equal amount of importance. Saige dis-
cussed her three main men, Okie, Boudro and Chester. Okie is Saige’s barrel racing and pole bending horse, Boudro is her goat tying and backup breakaway horse, and Chester is her main breakaway horse. With great success comes great sacrifice, and sometimes that includes extracurricular activities. Saige said she has sacrificed all school sports so she can focus on working with her horses. On a daily basis Saige spends her time feeding and exercising her horses, roping the dummy, finishing school work, roping, and repeating the process the next day. Though rodeo can be hard work at times, the success, and the fun that is had in the process makes everything worthwhile. In the future, Saige plans to become a horse chiropractor, rodeo and train horses for a living. Saige said she is honored to be chosen as the Whatakid of the month, and she is so thankful for Whataburger’s partnership with the THSRA.

The folks at McCoy’s Building Supply understand that it takes a lot of hard work and the whole family pitching in to get things done on a farm or ranch. That’s why we’d like to take some time out to salute Texas High School Rodeo Association families who are farmers and ranchers. In our monthly Farm & Ranch Family Spotlight, we’ll feature one family, sharing their story of how they work together as a family to make their farm or ranch successful.The spotlight will run for 10 months; each month will feature a different Region. Each Regional McCoy’s Farm and Ranch Family will receive a $100 McCoy’s Gift Card. The McCoy’s Farm and Ranch Family of the Year will receive a $500 McCoy’s Gift Card and will be announced at the 2017 THSRA State Finals.

ongratulations to the McCoy’s Farm and Ranch Family of the month; the Coward’s! Will, Becky; their two kids, Kyle and Jenna Ruth; along with Will’s parents, Mike and Kay own and operate the Coward Ranch located in Gatesville, Texas. The Coward’s are very familiar with the ranching way of life as the Coward Ranch has been in their family since 1924. Kyle and Jenna are the fifth generation to operate the ranch. Their cow/calf operation includes commercial Angus cows and registered 44 Farms Angus bulls. This past year the family marketed their calf crop through the Superior Video Auction, and they said they pride themselves on raising quality cattle. Kyle and Jenna have been successful showing cattle the family has raised on their ranch at the Coryell County Commercial Steer Show and the San Antonio Commercial Steer Show. The family also purchases bred heifers throughout the year at special replacement sales, calve them out and sell the pairs. Becky explained how this program helps to supplement income to their ranch when they have excess grazing.

While the entire family lends a helping hand for daily chores, each member has their niche. “Mike is the key man and the one who keeps everything going,” Becky said. “He maintains all of the equipment, does most of the farming, and is in the cow herd daily.” Kay checks the bred heifers during calving season, manages the online marketing of the cattle, and serves as the “glue that keeps us all together,” Becky said. Will is in charge of most of the purchasing and sales of cattle and equipment; Becky helps work and feed cattle, and fills in the gaps wherever she is needed, and Kyle and Jenna pen and sort cattle. “Kyle is a tie-down calf roper, so he always wants to flank the calves at working time rather than running them through the chute,” Becky said. “Jenna ran the tractor and baler that baled most of our hay this last summer. She also really likes to feed hay and check cattle with her dad.” Though managing a ranch can be a full time job in itself, Becky and Will both have nine to five jobs in addition to their ranching duties. Will serves as the Banking Center President for National United in Gatesville, and Becky is a guidance counselor at Gatesville Intermediate School. “When we get home from town we get to work and do whatever needs to be done,” Becky said. “Everybody does their part; we get up early and work late to get it all done.” Because of their outside jobs and Kyle and Jenna’s extracurricular activities, “things don’t work unless everyone does their part,” Becky said. “We don’t get much down time, so rodeos are our family vacations.” Both kids compete in the Junior High Division. Kyle competes in the tie-down roping, breakaway roping and ribbon roping; and Jenna competes in the breakaway roping and ribbon roping. “The horsemanship and roping skills that the kids have learned in rodeo has helped out on the ranch,” Becky said. “The kids put into practice their horsemanship and roping skills; we hope that our kids will continue to learn those life lessons about responsibility and self discipline.” The family said they are honored to be chosen as the McCoy’s Farm and Ranch family of the month. “We are truly honored to be selected,” Becky said. “Putting in a hard day’s work and teaching our children a strong work ethic is really important to us. Hard work will get people through just about anything.”

Snow Lopez owes her start in queening to Aubrie Fields. When Snow started TJHRA she saw Aubrie compete and though she should give it a go. “When I started it was a total eye opener.” Currently Snow is Miss Rodeo Texas High School Rodeo Association Region One Queen. Over the past four years Snow has held Miss Rodeo SandHills Teen, Miss Texas Junior High Rodeo Association Princess, and Miss Four States Fair and Rodeo Princess. Through her few years of queening, Snow has learned, “There will always be doubters, but as long as you believe in yourself that's all that matters.” After running for Miss THSRA this upcoming summer, Snow says she would like to run for Miss Rodeo Texas Teen or Miss Rodeo Austin Teen. To everyone headed to the state finals from your Region One ambassadors. “I just want everybody to keep their head up. You may not have ended up in the standings where you wanted, but you go into state finals and you can start fresh. If you go in there thinking you’ve already lost then you’re going to do bad. O
vercoming is something we have to do all the time. We have to overcome obstacles and things life throws in our way in and out of the arena. Rodeo athletes and athletes in general have to overcome so much to compete to the best of their abilities. The ability to overcome is a determining factor in how great a rodeo athlete will become; because no matter what, we will all have to overcome struggles at some point. As rodeo competitors, there are small, everyday things we have to overcome -- like a bad day in the practice pen, or always missing the same calf, or even not wanting to practice, period. There are also big things we have to overcome -- like injuries to ourselves or our equine athletes, getting out of slumps, or struggling in the standings. To overcome these things, you have to put in the time and hard work. Rodeo is a combination of physical ability and mental toughness, so it is important to strengthen both of these areas. Being physically pre-
pared to succeed at our sport comes through good old fashion practice and hard work. As they say, “perfect practice makes perfect.” That’s exactly what it takes on our sport. The other part of succeeding and overcoming obstacles in our sport or any other is mental toughness. Mental toughness takes on an even larger role in overcoming obstacles than the physical part. Being mentally tough is vitally important in overcoming obstacles. The greatest athletes of all time not only had great physical ability but had far better mental toughness than their competitors, which enabled them to compete in difficult circumstances, against impossible odds. One Region II member who knows about overcoming obstacles is Brody Rankin. Over the winter break, Rankin had to have knee surgery to repair an injured meniscus and replace his ACL, which he had injured calf roping. This has been a big obstacle for Rankin to overcome, “The biggest obstacle for me was and still is trying to find my groove again. After being out for a while, in a way, I feel like I have lost my feel for things. But, the more I

rope the better it has been going and I feel like it’s all coming back to me.” Said Rankin. To physically overcome his obstacles, Rankin has been roping the dummy, working out, and running a lot of steers and calves. Mentally, Rankin is incorporating his physical practice with his mental preparedness by working hard in the practice pen to build his confidence back. A tip Rankin had for other rodeo athletes trying to overcome obstacles was, “If you ever get in a bind with injuries, or you are having trouble on stuff, always try to stay positive and keep moving forward. The worst thing I think a lot of people do is that they never move forward. They are always looking back on past things they have done and it gets them thinking too much. The main thing is if you like what you are doing never lose the drive that makes you want to do it!” Rankin is a tough competitor; he will surely overcome this obstacle and come back stronger than ever. Overcoming obstacles is a key part in the success of a rodeo athlete or an athlete of any sport. Everyone has obstacles they must overcome to achieve the success they desire. We all have obstacles to overcome in and out of the arena, and the way we handle them will determine how far we go. So with that, good luck Region II, with all that you do.

A
s our season comes to a close this month it is a popular time to reflect upon the points. Everyone wants to see where we stand before we compete in the last rodeo of year. Whether you're winning the saddle or you’re sitting on the bubble there is still a considerable amount of pressure on your shoulders to be the fastest and be the best you
can for two rodeos. These two rodeos we call finals can either punch your desired ticket to Abilene, or not. These two days ted to separate the champions from the rest of the pack. The time spent in the practice pen will finally pay off, the excuses people once made will be regrets, and determination for the next year to come will be born. With all of these many variables considered, we must all run our personal race. No matter where you stand in the region, it is most important to go at a run the way you know how to instead of trying to duplicate the person in front of you’s run. What is a most known mess up for a pressured situation is getting in our own heads; telling ourself we need to place third or above to get a certain amount of points which will bump me from 9th to 6th. If we go into these last rodeos preforming to someone else's race 8 out of 10 times…you shall fail. The key to top performance is focusing on yourself, if not who are you competing for? Clearing your head, keeping things simple, and letting muscle memory take over are the keys to success in pressured situations. “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize. Running such a way as to get the prize. 25 Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown.” (1 Corinthians 9:24-25)

All-Around Spotlight

E
very rodeo athlete knows the daily struggle of trying to fit rodeo into their schedules. After every horse has been ridden and practice has ended, it can seem like the entire day has gone by! At Region V, we have extremely talented competitors, many of whom participate and place well in many events. However, two individuals rise to the top and accumulate more points than anyone else all year. For this month’s article, I spoke to our All-Around leaders, Skyler Woolls and Haley Horn.
SKYLER WOOLLS GETS DOWN ON A STEER TO WIN SOME POINTS IN NACOGDOCHES
Every morning when Skyler Wooll’s alarm clock rings, a busy day is about to begin. A senior at Region V, Skyler is involved in nearly every event. Between the cutting, team roping, steer wrestling, and calf roping, it is safe to say that he has been busy! Skyler began homeschooling three years ago, when he decided that he wanted to hone in on his rodeo performances. Homeschooling has given him the opportunity to work during the week and have more practice time. His favorite event in the practice pen or rodeo arena is the steer wrestling. He loves that his practice really pays off! Skyler is currently qualifying to state in the steer wrestling and cutting. He is excited for the finals and has been working extremely hard to prepare for Abilene. In order to stay on top of his game, Skyler practices and exercises horses every day. He also works out, as he believes that his peak performances will occur when both he and his horse are in the best condition as possible. This physical preparation, combined with mental imagery, is what Skyler thinks his key to success has been and will continue to be as we close the year in our region. He has flirted with an all-around title before, but has never taken home a saddle. He is leading the region with 153.5 points, and Kasen McCall trails with 138 points. As anyone knows, at finals with average points up for grabs, anything can happen. “I’m just going to stay smooth and focus on making solid runs” Skyler says. “I want this saddle, and I’m willing to work for it.” Haley Horn, a sophomore, loads up on entries on rodeo weekends! She competes in the goat tying, barrel racing, cutting, breakaway, pole bending, and team roping. She is currently qualifying to state in every event except the poles and barrels. Her team of equine athletes plays a large part in her performance, and so she makes their health and fitness a major priority. Haley had an extremely successful year last year, and she continues to make waves this year! She leads the region All-Around by 20 points, with her having racked up 193.5 points, while Reagan Davis is hot on her heels with 173 points. After school each day, she immediately begins saddling horses. Knowing that she does not have enough time in the day, she focuses on two events per day to fine tune. Being involved in this many events has helped Haley learn the value of responsibility. “No one can put in the work for meit’s something I have to do on my own” she says. She loves that rodeo gives kids the option to be successful. “I like that I can determine how well I do. I prepare myself in the practice pen so that when I show up to the rodeo I know that I’ve worked hard and am prepared to do my best.” She set the goal to win the all-around saddle before this season started, so at each rodeo she focuses on making quality runs in every event, and she will continue this mindset at finals. In the BIGGEST, BADDEST, AND BEST Region in the state, our competitors are wise beyond their years and are ready to sacrifice everything to be successful. We commend our current all-around Cowboy and Cowgirl, and wish them, along with the rest of our competitors, the best of luck at Region Finals!

egion VII’s rodeo season has officially come to an end. We will be sending an amazing team of tough competitors to state this year. From first place down to tenth place each and every member worked really hard to earn their trip to the state finals and we are all excited about going to Abilene in June. on great rodeos all season long. Kolton Mazoch is this year’s All-Around Cowboy. He is a junior at El Campo High School where he is an all A student and a member of the National Honor Society. He has been a member of Region VII since sixth grade. Kolton competes in calf roping, team roping and steer wrestling. His favorite horse is his KOLTON MAZOCH calf roping horse Annie. He likes to hunt and fish and compete in ranch rodeos. In his spare time Kolton has started a small business with his cousin and they provide goat tying goats to several rodeo associations.So when you see him at the rodeo he may be getting ready to compete or he may be taking care of his stock contracting duties but he will for sure be busy. Kolton will help out wherever he is needed by taking off ropes or loading calves.Although he is only a junior he plans to continue to rodeo career when he goes to college. Since he qualified for state in all three of his events he will be very busy at the finals this year and we know he is ready. Kolton will definitely be one to watch in Abilene.

s the last region VIII rodeo was coming to an end, everyone was waiting for the results hoping they made it to state. Seniors were soaking in the last memories of their Region VIII rodeo careers! It was a bittersweet day that I really never thought would come! We had a senior presentation for parents and ended the day with an awesome dinner and awards presentation. This year’s banquet was incredible! Our directors and secretary really outdid themselves! I spoke to several seniors about their awards and how they would be planning for state and their future. Cal Brown is a senior and was our Region VIII All-Around Cowboy for the year. He made it to state 6th in Calf Roping and 1st in Bulldogging. At the start of the last rodeo he was sitting just 9 points in the lead for the all-around, so he knew that in order to win it he had
to give his whole heart and do his best in all his events. The day didn’t start off as planned when he got bucked off his bronc, but he managed to be a 3 in bulldogging and had it clinched! He has been with region 8 for several years now and said that he has made so many memories with everyone in the region. He says that his family is at the core of his support team, but he would like to thank a few others who have helped him- Travis Hurt, Michael Swaim, Johnny Pollock, Bennie Vickers, Chance Campbell, and his Pop, Mike Winters. After high school, Cal plans to go to Oklahoma Horseshoeing School to become a professional farrier and in 2018 he wants to start his professional rodeo career. A few other seniors I talked to were Arlis Bluntzer and Will Wright. They are both planning on going to Tarleton State University to continue their love for rodeo on the TSU college rodeo team. These two have roped together for many years and seen many ups and downs throughout the years in high school rodeo. This year they roped their final steer to come out as Region VIII champions! Of course, both of these boy’s families were cheering them on at the rodeo and were really excited about their win! These two families have a long history together that spans many HANNAH ALLISON, CHAMPION BREAKAWAY ROPER decades of friendship! Arlis also ended up 5th in calf roping and would like to thank his dad, Eric for always helping him with his horses and his sister, Mary Grace for keeping his head on straight through the year. Another fierce competitor and senior champion was Hannah Allison. She won the breakaway by 13 points! She said she is going all or nothing into the State Championships because it is her goal to make the National High School Finals! She is no stranger to hard work and plans on using everyday between now and June to prepare. She is supported by her parents and family and wants to thank them for always supporting her in all of the things she has done. Hannah is attending Texas Tech University – GUNS UP! Mr. Trace Blair, the head of our scholarship committee did an outstanding job awarding the senior scholarships. He spoke about the scholarship process and how impressed he was with our seniors and their ability to communicate and present themselves with class and pride. This year we gave out 13 scholarships! Myself, along with 12 others, were awarded scholarships ranging from $250-$3,000. Morgan Arnold received the highest scholarship. The application for the scholarship included an essay about what you think is a challenge facing graduating seniors today. Morgan wrote what the judges thought to be the best answer. She said that one of the biggest problems facing kids today is the lack of verbal communication amongst young people. With the technology of today all we have to do is simply send a message to someone we want to talk to. She suggested that teenagers needed to put their phones down and tune into what was going on in front of them! Morgan is going to use her scholarship at Tarleton State

After the region scholarships were handed out, another set of very special scholarships were presented to four seniors who had been Region VIII members since 6th grade. These scholarships were given in memory of my grandfather, aka “Pop” and were called the Pop’s Out Work Em Scholarships. I was honored to receive one of these. I know my Pop would have been so proud of all of the kids for their hard work throughout the years in Junior High and High School Rodeo. Along with myself, Arlis Bluntzer, Will Wright and Morgan Arnold received these very special scholarships. All together the region and Out Work Em scholarships totaled $13,050! Thank you to everyone who made these scholarships possible! As a senior, myself, the last rodeo was very sentimental to me. I have been in rodeo for 15 years now and that one was my last. I’ve learned so many things throughout my years in rodeo that have taught me so many

valuable lessons. I will be going to Tarleton State University to get and degree in Wildlife Sustainability and Ecosystem Science and plan to continue to use the many lessons I have learned in the arena into my college career! We have been pretty high all year in the standings and it has gone pretty good all year.” After high school he will be attending Lonestar College and he will continue to team rope. Another senior who is always helping inside and outside of the arena is Stevey Ray Payne. She is from Donie and competes in barrels, poles, and breakaway. This is also her fourth year in Region 9 and she made it to the short-go at state in poles in 2016. She told us, “My year definitely didn’t go as planned, but God has a plan and I just have to trust him. It was an eventful four years and a lot of fun, but I’m excited to see where the future takes me.” She is undecided on where she will attend college, but she knows she will rodeo wherever she goes. She wants to become a human/equine chiropractor and maybe start training futurity horses as well. PEYTON FERGUSON

Taking a look at another senior who is one of the nicest young ladies you will ever meet, is Lauren Holtkamp. She is from Conroe and competes in barrels. She has decided on attending Texas A&M, while she is not sure whether she will continue to rodeo knowing that her studies come first. She has been in Region 9 for the past
three years and has made a lot of great memories, “I have met some friends that I will have for the rest of my life, and I have had the opportunity to meet people with great morals and character. This year I have continued to strive to do my personal best every time I run. This tough competition has made me a better competitor, which will impact me for the rest of my life.” We have had a great year in Region 9 and a great group of seniors. We only have one rodeo left before this season ends. Our finals rodeo will be held on March 25th in Bryan, with the awards banquet to follow. This season could not have gone any better and we were blessed with a great facility, amazing sponsors, and some of the best people in all of Texas. he word I think we would all use to describe our last rodeos of the season is, BUSY! It was a bittersweet weekend as we said goodbye and good luck to all 32 of our graduating Seniors. The senior ride took place on Saturday, followed by the Senior Dinner that night. Region X gave away scholarships to every senior that applied! We are so excited about where life will take these graduating Seniors! In Ft Worth, Texas at the Patriot Event, Region X represented well!

Garett Chick won the Young Guns Open Team Roping with partner Coleby Payne. They took home saddles, buckles, and split $25,000. Chet Weitz won third as well with partner Britt Buller, the split $4,800. Region X member Kirby Blankenship and partner Brenten Hall ended up splitting $2,800 in the Young Guns Open as well by winning the fast time with a 4.75. In the barrel racing at the Patriot Event, JH member Karsyn Daniels qualified for the American Semi Finals in the 7th hole! Karsyn also qualified two horses to the AQHA & AQHYA World Shows in Houston, Texas during the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. Taylor Cuccurullo won 7th in the second division in the Young Guns Barrel Racing as well. Cinch Moody, Kade Berry, Chet Weitz, & Carsyn Sunvision all qualified to the 13-15 Tie Down Roping Short Go. ear Junior High Members and Families: Can you all believe that the region rodeos are either over or a few have one more weekend and they will be done? This year has really flown by! We are putting finishing touches on the state finals as I write this article. Don’t forget if you are shooting this year the contest will be on Saturday, May 20, 2017! The trailer and horse stalls will be ready for your arrival on Friday, May 19, 2017, the gates will be open until 7pm on Friday if you would like to arrive early. At 7pm on Friday the gates will be closed and reopen on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 7am with twenty-four hour check in. Don’t forget to go and talk to your schools now to let them know that you will need to miss the last week of May from school. I do not mind sending a letter to your school, just contact me. I do want you all to know I get emails and phone calls daily on when you would like to be up. I wish we could accommodate you all, but the runs are drawn, so as we all know in rodeo we have to go with the luck of the draw! So many of you have conflicts with yourself or an older sibling there is no way to accommodate everyone. So hopefully the draw will work in your favor. With the last region finishing up in April as soon as I receive their information I will begin the draw. When it is completed the Region secretaries will be notified to pass on to you all, it will also be posted on the Jr. High Website www. tjhra.net be looking for it! Keep practicing so you will be on top of your game when you get to Gonzales. Hope everyone has a blessed Easter. Remember the last day to get a refund is May 1, 2017 and also if you are planning on running for an student officer position I will need that in the office by May 1 too. 2017-2018 TJHRA Princess competition These 8 young women are vying to fill the shoes of Miss TJHRA 2016-Taylor Mobbs. Taylor will hand over her crown to one of these contestants on May 21st at the mandatory meeting. They will compete in Personal Interview, Impromptu Speaking, 2-Minute Speech, Modeling and Horsemanship. They will also be judged on Appearance and Personality throughout the contest and take a 50 question Test over the National High School rulebook. There will be a luncheon held at the 1st Methodist Church Fellowship Hall on Saturday the May 20th at 11:45 A.M. followed by Horsemanship at the J.B. Wells Complex at 4:00 P.M. ell, the 2016-2017 Junior High rodeo season has finally come to an end and Region V had another year of being the BIGGEST, the BADDEST, and the BEST!! After 12 rodeos the champs have been crowned! Our all around champs were Boys -Jack Kahla, Girls-Jill White, Rookie Girl- Taylor Davis, Rookie Boy-Landon Cook. With all of
fundraisers throughout the year we were able to hand out 19 trophy saddles and hundreds of buckles. It was a fight to the end to place in the top 10. Congratulations to all of our event winners! Everyone is looking forward to heading to Gonzales in May! We were in chilly Nacogdoches for our finals on March 11th and 12th but before we got busy with our rodeo, we had our 2nd Annual Tod Bishop Special Needs Memorial Rodeo. We had some really cool contestants and they were so excited to receive their championship buckles. They had a great time and Region V members were truly blessed! We started our final rodeo off with an 8th grade recognition. We have 24 contestants headed to high school! In the past 3 years we have made lasting friendships and have learned so much from each other. We are looking forward to our next adventure...watch out THSRA!! Our student officers, Kalli McCall, Riley Jay Otwell, and myself want to say a special thank you to our adult officers, president, Jeff Parsley for keeping our ground great, Vice President Mendi McCall for keeping things running, and our secretary Susan Baldwin for keeping us all in line! Also to our state directors for keeping our rodeos moving along, Vern Kaylor, Clayton Drake and Jodi Morian. And a huge thank you to all of our adult event directors too. These people don't realize how much we really do appreciate them but we know with out them nothing we do would be possible! I have loved being the Region V student secretary and am sad to say goodbye but I can't wait to get into high school rodeo! Good luck to my friend Lauren White who will be taking

he 2016-17 Region 6 Rodeo Season has finally come to a close. All the long hours put in the practice pen riding horses, tying goats and roping the dummy have finally paid off. Everyone in the Region 6 rodeo family has put in hard work, and congratulations to everyone who made it to the state finals. As a rodeo family, we thank God for keeping everyone safe during this season. It’s so amazing how God chooses our paths for us and leads us in the direction that we need to go. We give God all the glory and honor because he truly rides with us at each rodeo, keeping each and every rider safe in his protective hands. A big congratulations goes out to Region 6’s All Around champions. Thres Jarosek was our all around cowboy and Amy Ohrt was our all around cowgirl. Congrats to our Rookies this year, Kyler Ohrt and Amy Ohrt. These guys worked really hard all during the whole rodeo season. Good job! Thank you to everyone who spent their time helping at the rodeo this year. From
setting barrels, to working the chutes, or just doing anything that needs to be done in order to keep the rodeo on schedule, we appreciate it! We also want to thank our rodeo secretary, Nena Boettcher. We know it’s not an easy job to be a rodeo secretary, and she does a great job! A special thank you also goes out to all of our family members who support us in every event that we ride in. We couldn’t do it without yall! Thank you also to the city of Gonzales for hosting us at our Region rodeos and for hosting the finals as well. Good luck to everyone competing in the Jr. High State Finals in May.
