ell, that’s a wrap folks! One of our Region V moms posted a recap on her son’s performance and she started out by saying, “State is where hard work and big dreams collide.” This is so true! The THSRA platform is one of the biggest competitions in our rodeo career. It’s a week that tests our strengths and weaknesses, both physically and mentally. The reality of over 600 other contestants chasing the same dream, all though
nerve wracking, gives you so much adrenaline and motivation. My Region V fellow members had many highs and lows throughout the week. Seems like if the first round

was a success, pressure mounted for that second round, making the contestant’s mental game that much harder. Lots of us had those “mess up jitters” in the first round, so once they were out of the way, the second go round went much smoother. There was most definitely tension in the air from everyone focusing on those clean, fast, and smooth runs. When the dust cleared and all the results were in, we got to celebrate 5 of our Region V members with top places and a trip to Nationals. Sydni Cain, Abi Depriest, Kash Martin, Landon Cook, and Brayze Schill will go on to Lincoln, Nebraska to compete! We could go on for days about the memories that were made, rehash our mistakes, and the
