Andrea Anselmo CV | August 2020 Andrea Anselmo is assistant and researcher in theory and history of architecture at the Université Catholique de Louvain LOCI in Brussels, partner of the architectural group False Mirror Office and member of the editorial board of the magazine "Burrasca".

Anselmo (Imperia, 1988) graduated in Architecture from the Scuola Politecnica di Genova (UNIGE), and the École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Versailles (ENSA-V).

In 2014 he was teaching assistant at the Scuola Politecnica di Genova in the design studio “Fondamenti di Architettura Contemporanea” lead by Professors Giovanni Galli and Nicola Lunardi.

In 2015, together with Gloria Castellini, Filippo Fanciotti, Giovanni Glorialanza and Boris Hamzeian, he founded the False Mirror Office architecture group, which deals with architectural design - selected by "Divisare" in the collection New Architects 1 (2017) and winner of the Europan 13 competition in Trondheim (2015) -, teaching, trough workshops and conferences, and research, by writing scientific essays and articles.

Since the years of education, he has worked for several architectural firms - Manuelle Gautrand Architects in Paris (2011), Laboratory for Visionary Architecture in Berlin (2012), Office for Metropolitan Architecture in Rotterdam (2013) and MVRDV both in Rotterdam and Paris (2015-2019) - where he developed architectural and urban projects from conception to construction site.

He has lectured in numerous universities and institutions, including Politecnico di Milano, Università Federico II di Napoli, Casa dell'Architettura di Roma, École Nationale Supérieure de Nancy, and University of Melbourne, and he has been tutoring in numerous workshops: La Maddalena (2018), Selinunte (2017), Wroclaw (2017).
