What is Co-living?
DEFINITION
ORIGIN Co-living, which originated in Denmark in the 1960s, is recognized as the origin of the modern Shared community. At that time, families in Denmark felt that their houses and community system could not meet their child care needs. So, in 1967, they created the first modern communal housing project Saettedammen, which brought together about 50 families to form a concept community. As a result, Denmark has also seen the emergence of co-living models that help working mothers or single parents share childcare. More than 5% of Denmark’s population now lives in Shared communities. Over the past 20 years, Co-living communities have spread around the world and become the trend.

COMMUNITY
FORM
A community is maintained by some kind of interactive relationship and common culture. A community should include a certain number of people, a certain area, a certain scale of facilities, a certain characteristic of culture, and a certain type of organization. The community is such a «community of social life composed of people with relatively close contacts who live in a certain area».
Co-living is a new form of community that provides Shared housing and Shared services to people who share a common interest. This form of community can come together simply to eat in a common area and discuss appropriate community activities, or it can evolve into Shared work areas and community building. One of the most typical and basic form is that residents have their own houses, kitchens, toilets and other living facilities, and each family has enough privacy. On this basis, the residents in the community also share the kitchen, garden, entertainment facilities, guest rooms and other public facilities. Some communities even provide communal Spaces for residents to work or are self-sufficient in food and energy. Residents move and gather regularly.
BENEFIT • Social networking for young people - expanding your circle of friends at home and providing a gathering place for like-minded people • Food and energy independence - a combination of home and garden can lead to a greener and healthier lifestyle • Provide convenience for the elderly -- a warm feeling of trust and interdependence can be found without leaving the house or at home. • Increased social benefits - job opportunities for more people, even those who need to be close to work and family • Increased economic benefit - the sharing economy means that every resident will participate in the construction of the community, which will promote the economy of the community and make the community more perfect.

INFORMATION
ADVANTAGE
Wayaland is a design idea proposed by Italian designer Pierpaolo Lazzarini, designed to design a city floating on the sea. His inspiration came from the pyramids of ancient Egypt and the ancient Mayan culture. Wayaland is a modular floating building. The entire module is made of glass fiber, carbon fiber, and steel, and is set on a large floating platform. The entire module moves with the motor, including the dock for mooring ships. The power it needs is provided by the array of solar panels on the top of the building, and the turbines that can use the seawater to install are also installed in the submerged part of the building.
Wayaland can achieve basic self-sufficiency. The modular design includes not only living areas but also entertainment areas, that is to say, Wayaland can provide both residential residences and corresponding public facilities, such as hotels, shops, gyms or movie theaters, etc., which can cover almost all types of buildings on the land .
The appearance of Wayaland is a floating pyramid. The largest part of it is 30m high. There are ten floors in the interior. The total area is 6700㎡, Carbon fiber and steel while ensuring quality, also ensure the ornamental and artistic. The principle that Wayaland can move freely and change position flexibly is that the designer builds it on a huge movable floating board with a total area of 3000㎡, so that it can move freely.

Wayaland’s idea is flexible, which can not only meet the needs of people on land but also allow people to enjoy the convenience of free distribution of buildings. All in all, Wayaland is an ultra-future design. Its concept brings a new community to a shared life, so that co-living is no longer limited to shared living, but expanded to live together, enjoy together, and improve the quality of life together. Wayaland can solve the demand for a certain amount of land. When the world ’s population continues to grow, land resources are very tight. The emergence of Wayaland can meet the needs of some people ’s land. People can choose to live on the sea or on land. It also has a positive impact on the environment.

COMMUNITY IMFORMATION
This Co-living Community is for 60 adults and 15 children. Total 74 residents.
We will create a Co-living Community floating on the sea. We would like to create a tight community as everyone who would inhabit the community would be out in sea which would isolate the group from other civilizations. This creates a stronger element to force the community to come and live together.
