Capital Shooting CHRONOS

CHRONOS is an electric capital shooting that endeavors to challenge the current framework and redefine transportation to better suit the needs of urban environments in the future. Its compact size allows it to navigate freely through the city, and its smaller size enhances the utilization of road space. The vehicle affords the driver a high degree of ease, efficiency, and precision in driving, similar to the manner in which a James Bond navigate the city.

With the advancement of technology and medical technology in the future, the road system will no longer be able to accommodate the constantly increasing population. Is there any other mode of transportation that is equally suitable for the future city in addition to the public transportation system? In response to this question, I have proposed the concept of CHRONOS, which endeavors to minimize the volume of the vehicle while simultaneously granting the vehicle superior spatial functionality. Despite such restrictions, CHRONOS is designed to have a streamlined, aesthetically pleasing exterior, making it the perfect intersection of sensibility and rationality.

Somewhere between driving and working

When thinking about the combination of two functions, rather than using a design of addition or subtraction, I thought about creating a completely new concept that best fits the theme. Therefore, in the Chronos project, I attempted to create a brand new type of vehicle that combines the maneuverability and unit area utilization of a small car, the cargo space of a sedan, the dynamic performance of a cannon, and the streamlined appearance of a sports car. I named this type of vehicle the 'Capital Shooting' and it is the best choice for urban commuting that combines both rationality and sensibility.

The exterior design cleverly utilizes the shoulder line to manipulate the curvature of the surface, enhances the visual area of greenhouse, and gives the body a more sporty appearance.

MCLAREN MEGAPTERA

Future

Hyper Tourer

The Megaptera is a hyper tourer from McLaren, a vehicle designed to allow future people to relax and enjoy their journeys. It has a large glass area and a hugging yacht-like cabin to create the ultimate space for passengers to move and relax.

FUTURE CYBER CITY

In 2070, The advancements in semiconductor technology have allowed for the creation of current collectors that can effectively absorb solar storms and provide a virtually limitless source of electricity. These developments have led to the implementation of electromagnetic floating tracks, or maglevs, as a replacement for traditional urban roads. As a result, traditional tires are no longer in use and the roads are now populated with floating vehicles.

The humpback whale is often described as possessing a sense of grace, freedom, and steadiness while in the sea, characteristics that make it a suitable source of inspiration for the external design of this project. As such, the form of the humpback whale has been incorporated into the design concept.

In this project, I attempted to explore new possibilities for integrating VR into the design process. After sketching many concepts, I imported them into Gravity Sketch and used the software to complete the final model. Ultimately, I sought to identify the differences between VR modeling and traditional modeling software, as well as ways to better integrate both types of software into the design process in the future.

Generation Hybrid Super Sport

In this project, I integrated the next-gen eration design tool, virtual reality (VR), into the design process and created a next-generation supercar. Experiment ing with Gravity Sketch during the early design stage influenced the horizontal and vertical thinking stimulus, which will be included in the project's future im plementation.

During the research period, we participated in VR research conducted by some teachers' labs and learned about the advantages and disadvantages of VR design tools. Therefore, we discussed how VR tools should be effectively integrated into the design process with professor Lin, Ming-Huang, and other members.

And we concluded that theoretically, the most appropriate design process should be the interface between the sketch stage and the CAD stage(Sketch-based Modeling), which means that horizontal thinking is transformed into vertical consideration to maximize its effect.

Early-Design Stage

Experimental Method

In this project, I used the GRAVITY SKETCH to enter Virtual Reality after sketching and used the sketch as a foundation to produce a realistic scale three-dimensional model in space swiftly. The sensory stimulation provided by the 3D space model is not accessible in 2D sketching. It allows me to extract more distinct thinking and ideas in the early stages of the design, giving me a more holistic picture.

This project will be my first experimental project using VR to import the design process, and it is also testing the feasibility of this method. All future design projects will use this process if the results are excellent.

The Process

I begin by drawing a rough sketch in Procreate, which serves as the basis for creating the basic framework in Gravity Sketch using the stroke function and laying out the uneven surfaces. Upon completing the exploratory model, I import it into Rhinoceros to produce the final model.

AETHER

Air Purify Electric Motorcycle

Aether is an electric motorcycle with an air-purifying module. Aether's core design concept is not only to reduce carbon emissions but also to capture pm2.5 in the air. Aether's exterior adopts the edgy-looking Cybertruck-ish style, and the main surfaces of the vehicle are composed of many geometric surfaces, making aether look stunning.

The core concept of AETHER is not only to reduce carbon emissions but also to actively reduce air pollution by collecting pm2.5 particles through the air cleaning modules installed inside the vehicle so that AETHER will be the best solution.

The concpet

Air Purifier Electric Motorcycle large number of bases trap PM 2.5

If we could gather the power of every human being on the planet into one powerful force, it would be possible to do one's bit for the world by balancing the enormous pollution that is like hell.

The module includes 7 HEPA-rated ceramic air purify boards. The ceramic plates can be washed back to a clean state and reused. The module frame is designed in a trapezoidal shape with unique angles on both sides to allow the ceramic plates to trap more particles and maximize air cleaning efficiency. When riding the AETHER, the airflow through the wing-shape shell creates negative pressure inside the motorcycle, allowing more airflow into the air purification module.

AETHER's exterior design is based on jets and takes aerodynamic design into account to control the AETHER's body airflow.

Try to imagine the next-generation lifestyle patterns for the AEHTER's operation. The clean modules will get polluted after a period of riding, and the user can then ride to a nearby module exchange and exchange them with clean ones. Modules will be changed from the bottom of the bike automatically.

You may meet someone who rides the same AETHER as you at the module exchange station, with the same ideals of caring for mother Earth and riding the same bike, which will surely bring more fun to your life.

Users can charge their batteries at home or on a paved charging road during their urban commute. Likewise, they can utilize the vehicle's battery to power up if they wish to go on a vacation to the countryside.

EUTERPE

Resonance Pipe Electric Motorcycle

The EUTERPE aims to use resonant sound as a link between man and bike. The wind generated by the bike's speed is passed through the resonant tubes on the side and center of the bike, creating a closed-tube standing wave and a vi brant sound that ebbs and flows with speed. When the speed of the electric bike is linked to the sound, the soulful EUTERPE is the key to awakening people to a new life after the epidemic.

The covid19 epidemic has created an unfamiliar divide between people, objects, and the environment in the last two years. In addition, forced confinement to their homes has led to feelings of stress and depression.

Now that the epidemic is slowing down, people are trying to regain a thriving vitality. Rebirth after an epidemic is not only a reawakening from the silence and uncertainty of the epidemic but also a reconnection with the fading emotions of human beings and objects. We always believe that a speed machine full of vitality can awaken the human heart and restore the dynamics of life.

Singing Ringing Tree

When I struggled to think of a way to develop my concept from the above, I came across the Singing Ringing Tree, a metal statue in Burnley, England. The tree is made of layers of steel tubes. Some of these have holes cut in them and act like flutes – when the wind blows it will produce a sound. This sculpture inspired me to think that if the wind in the environment resonates with the object, it seems to give life to the electric motorbike, giving a soulful resonance to an emotionless motor.

The connection between humans and the world

The most impressive performance of an electric vehicle is its quiet acceleration. As a result, speed can be converted into a low-frequency resonant sound that connects emotions and elicits an epidemic of renewal in the man-car relationship. As the Singing Ringing Tree has inspired me, what would an electric motorbike look like if it could employ this idea to make the sound for electric bikes?

Sound Plan - Resonant Tubes Matrix

The EUTERPE has nine resonant tubes positioned around its body, which cover five primary ranges and three advanced ranges. When in use, the side wind blows at a nearly vertical angle across the metal tube opening, causing the tube to resonate with the sound at the same frequency. As a result, the sound frequency not only increases and decreases with speed, but the difference in wind pressure between the two sides of the bike as it turns also affects the sound.

Visual Plan

The metal resonance tubes, which are the core function of the EUTERPE, are exposed and neatly arranged on the sides of the vehicle and integrated into the body line. The internal combustion mechanism gives this heritage of visual memory to the user by the internal combustion mechanism. At the same time, the change in the structure of the electric vehicle has eliminated much of the space above the battery, allowing for a curved fold above the body to create a sense of suspension, giving it a light, penetrating, and futuristic feel through visual extension and linearity.
