Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra Arie Lipsky, Music Director and Conductor

Welcome to your Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra. Come in! I welcome you to this special 89th season with your Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra, filled with concerts that will delight you, make you think, make you feel, make you smile, and make you glad you are part of it all. You’ll enjoy the biggest names in Music including Handel, Beethoven, Mozart and Verdi. You’ll celebrate American composers like Bernstein (celebrating his 100th birthday this year) and Duke Ellington, and women composers Higdon and Fellman. You’ll enjoy world-famous soloists and meet brilliant emerging artists who you’ll say over the years to come, “I heard them when they starred with my A2SO.” Starting in September with a festive gala concert sampling music from Broadway to opera’s most beloved arias and the brilliant Pictures at an Exhibition, to the thrilling journey and dramatic intensity of Verdi’s Requiem in April, here is a season to appeal to every taste and palate. I welcome new listeners and long-time music lovers to concerts that feature the music from Star Wars and Harry Potter. We look forward to making music for our youngest ears at this year’s KinderConcerts, and for our most seasoned listeners at the Chamber Recital Series. Join me and the outstanding musicians who make your A2SO. Enjoy this season where every note is full of love and passion and fire. Discover Music’s inner story that will touch your heart. We are your Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra: passionate about excellent music, committed to making yours a quality concert experience, and dedicated to you. See you at the Symphony,

Arie Lipsky Music Director and Conductor
