January/February Economic Outlook An extensive review by well known economist will start off the year. It is an eagerly awaited issue as we all like to get a flavor for what might be coming our way in the coming year. Inflation guide, commercial construction and residential construction trends will be discussed, but so will funding and construction activities in the area of transportation and infrastructure. March/April Transportation Commuters and drivers look forward to this issue in the hopes that there will be better days to come. One key issue, funding, will be discussed in detail from both the local and federal angles. Articles will include reviews by ARTBA executives in Washington, by local transportation associations, MARTA, ARC, GRTA, GDOT, and many more. May/June Equipment & Technology In this issue, we will discuss the innovations in both vertical and horizontal construction. We expect that highway and commuterrelated equipment will undergo significant changes in the coming months. The articles in this issue will help our readers get a feel for what the market is looking for: efficiencies, cost-savings, new materials, and LEED-related products. July/August Utilities & Infrastructure This is a report on underground utility construction—from water and sewer systems to fiber optic line installations. We will also look at electrical power generation and its range of new technologies: coal, natural gas, ocean-wave, wind, water, and other sustainable sources of energy.

September/October Sustainable Construction & Materials In this issue, we focus on how business is being conducted in construction, the challenges that we face everyday, and the particular rewards to be gained with certain strategies. Some particular aspects of doing business that will be covered are: subcontractor relations, immigration issues, language barriers, ownership questions, tax discussions, contract interpretations and approaches to dispute avoidance. November/December Workforce Development & Management What is happening to Georgia’s vital and complicated infrastructure? What are the improvements being made to construction methods and maintenance strategies? Where are we going with increasing public need in the near future? We’ll take a look at possible trends in infrastructure solutions for a growing population—some conventional, and some altogether new. The topics listed above will be pivotal to each issue, but current events in our industry capture a part of each issue as well.
