The 9th Annual Legacy Hall of Fame induction ceremony hosted by Emcee Willie L. Brown Jr. and guest speakers from California’s most formidable leaders and special guest, President and CEO of the NAACP Derrick Johnson. The Legacy Hall of Fame Event is a CA/HI State Conference tradition in commemoration of Black History month, to pay tribute and honor a leader within the community that has an unwavering commitment to the mission of the NAACP, civil rights, equality and justice for all. We welcome you tonight in celebration of our 2021 Legacy Hall of Fame inductee Dr. Alice A. Huffman President Emeritus. Dr. Huffman’s bold steps towards change, her unwavering commitment, bravery, political savvy, mentorship and fight for the oldest civil rights organization in the country over the last 20 years is commendable. Dr. Huffman remained vigilant and true to building political power, while fighting for the wellbeing of the Black Community and the California Hawaii State Conference NAACP. This is why we are honored to welcome Ms. Huffman into the Legacy Hall of Fame family this evening.
