Renovation of khazendar square Location: Cairo, Egypt Design Concept: our concept develops from what we believe to be common between antique musical instruments and antique buildings. Touch and Go represents the optimal concepts dealing with antique buildings. Investing in such buildings guarantees their well being as getting maximum benefit from it. The idea of specifying Sednaoui Building in el Kazendar square to be invested by specialized organization will allow for a good opportunity for the upgrading of the square and the whole surrounding area. Environmental studies: • Adding the fountain to increase humidity. • Increasing trees and palms to give more oxygen and to increase shades. • Using local materials in paving to save energy.
Multi function Car Parking Location: Hong Kong Design Concept: It was simply playing the harmony orchestra along with heavy metal music and yet, finding the rhythm that sounds appropriate. An important factor that influenced the design process as well is the Cantopop culture which draws its influence from other forms of Chinese traditions and Western cultures. It was the matter of achieving the equilibrium between the extremes, Chinese culture and western ideologies, the high rise towers and human scale in the urban fabric, the boring task of parking your car and the lively festivals and activities in the multipurpose zone in a central location in the city. These uncertain philosophical relationships pushed the design into an edge that scattered the different functions away from each other within the car parking stories, but still agree among each other on the basic design lines and form. Three basic masses appear to be pushed into the parking slabs. The flying sloped slabs imitate the basic façade lines of the traditional Chinese buildings, and yet fits the modern glass glazed part of the city Environmental studies: • Open, wide slabs to help in the flow of air and to increase the sun light inside the building. • Using green roofs to absorb the Co2 emitted by the cars. • Generating electricity from the car movements on the slabs. • Using courts to increase the shadow and flow of air for the underground area.

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands Design Concept: Reflecting the Heritage on a modern building without cutting the sight of canal water, It’s a gate of a floating bridge that revives the cultural transference from river bank to the other. The Heritage museum resembles a strong value to Dutch community, Thus providing a Light transport to and from the Museum without disturbing the Homogeneousity of the canal had been crucial. Gathering the people for a short period of time in one boat encourages the social communication. In addition, letting the people have a direct interaction with the river, touch it and live it.
Sustainable Home Location: Cairo, Egypt Design Concept: is to have a home that contribute with the Egyptian climate and culture in a modern technological way. (followed with research) Environmental studies: - Using double wall to resists hot sun. - Narrow little windows in the south facades. - Using wide curtain walls in the north to increase sunlight - Using P.V as a further upgrading of the project to generate electricity - Regarding ventilation and natural lighting in all spaces. - Using HVACs with no emitting of CFCs. - Using many of local and recycled materials to reduce the emission of co2. - Having green roofs. - Using water features. - Take care of landscaping.
