CONCRETE STITCH

This collection is inspired by geometric shapes in architecture and construcion. When I first started to draw, sometimes i would find myself lacking ideas. And I would ask myself a question, does inspiration exist ? Rei Kawakubo once said “ I only can wait for the chance for something completlely new to be born within myself’’ I think every person who has a vision is waiting for that chance. While waiting I learned how to be inspired and motivated. How to observe and visualize objects around me in a correct way. Inspired by the difference of the street buildings and textures, I didn’t focus on drawing just one type of silhouette. I wanted this collection to be wearable and designed for all women shapes. Illustrations are firstly hand drawn, then i used mixed me-

dia to retouch and merge them with the moodboards.

INDIAN FLAVOR

The main inspiration of this capsule collecion is India. An endless inspiration, the land of diversity. I was mostly inspired by people, colors and food. Illustrations are primarily created by hand, I used mixed media for the details and moodboards.

FILM NOIR

Transformation and modernization of claasic man’s clothes from the 1940s into modern woman’s clothes is the main idea of this collection. The inspiration for this collection was found in the iconic male characters of the ‘‘Film Noir’’ originated in Hollywood in the 1940s. The sharpness and strictness of the formal suit of this period has been replaced by softer silhouettes. Illustrations are Hand drawn ,Adobe illustrator was used for drawing the face of the models and photoshop for the moodboards.

The inspiration for these hats came from the classic fedora hat which is worn by actors in the film noir movies. The process of making was redesigning the fedora hat by cutting the hats at crucial spots , adding an extra fabric and making different shapes. Hats were used as accessories for a fashion show.
