MEGABUS CELEBRATES LAUNCH OF MARLIN BLUE AT AAAE

The new cloud-based Tyre and Workshop ERP was announced at the Australian Auto Aftermarket Expo

Megabus says Tyre and auto workshops have been relying on its software for many years to manage essential operations like invoicing, estimating, workshop resource planning, accounts receivable, accounts payable, stock control, procurement, STP compliant payroll and EDI. Now, after seven years of research and development, Megabus says it is excited to introduce the next generation of software, Marlin Blue. The software includes a wide range of capabilities, including inventory, full embedded accounting, and creditor and debt management. It features industry quoting interfaces Repco SmartQuote and Burson EzyParts, native mobile applications for the workshop and it also has “unparalleled” API integrations to rich B2C websites from MyTyreSite and DatabaseDyno retention campaigning. Megabus says the FitmentFinder is a groundbreaking suggestive selling platform for tyre retailers that is embedded in Marlin Blue. It states it will help guide salespeople and consumers through the process of selecting the best tire for the consumer. “Marlin Blue is a native cloud application, meaning that the essence of its design is its API capabilities to partner and connect to an evergrowing landscape of applications and solutions,” Marlin Blue product owner, David Swan, said. Megabus says it will facilitate connections around the world. “We are excited to see the latest evolution of Marlin come to life by our talented in-house development team with a cloud-first, multi-lingual, multi-company and multi-location approach. These are true foundational requirements to build an ERP for the Australian and International aftermarket depths,” Megabus Chief Executive Officer, Justin Chalk, said. Megabus was introduced to the independent workshop market at the Australian Auto Aftermarket Expo, where it received plenty of attention from the attendees and other exhibitors.

ACS is supporting workshops with Online Technical Resources

The ClutchTech technical support database by Australian Clutch Services (ACS) has been developed to support workshops around Australia with a wide range of clutch specific technical information and videos. The ClutchTech brand encompasses the entire database of technical support information including ACS Technical Service Bulletins which are distributed with each kit, an online troubleshooting guide and an online video series looking at some of the most common clutch related technical questions. “Our ClutchTech database has been developed over many years to try and minimise the time workshops require to accurately diagnose a clutch issue,” ACS Sales Manager, Colin Jevons, said. “With the knowledge that our team has developed over our 30 years of operations in Australia, we have been able to put together a comprehensive range of clutch diagnostics and technical information and ClutchTech is a great way for us to share this with the automotive community.” The online troubleshooting guide is available on the ACS website and is an easy-to-use diagnostic tool that explores common clutch failure symptoms and the key points to check for each. ACS says this guide is ideal for workshops who are trying to diagnose a clutch failure before they purchase the components for replacement. By looking at the most common causes of that failure, workshops are then able to see what additional components may be required such as a broken clutch fork or hydraulics. The ClutchTech video series offers a great way for technicians to review installation processes for everything from basic clutch fitment guides through to vehicle specific installation information. ACS explains the series includes over 50 videos and says it has proven popular around the world with some of the most popular videos looking at DCT clutch removal and installation and hydraulic pedal adjustment. The videos are ideal for technicians who may be Marlin Blue is just one of many automotive aftermarket business and support products offered by Megabus.
