Looking for Rebels with a Cause!
How can you help? The AAF-BR Diversity and Public Service committees need your talents: • design services for an event t-shirt • design services for an event poster • printing services for an event poster • public relations support for the event
Ready to shed your shirt sleeves and high heels for leather and chrome? Then the Diversity and Public Service committees have a project that’s right up your alley. AAF-BR needs volunteers who can help bring the Nubian Kruzers annual State Rally to a new level. Each summer, the Nubian Kruzers, a local motorcycle club dedicated to community outreach, organizes a summer bike rally with more than 5,000 participants. This year’s rally will be June 5-7 at the Lamar Dixon Expo in Gonzales, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Baton Rouge Battered Women’s Shelter. Participants of all ages will enjoy food, fun, music and games. Vendors and companies selling bikes, bike gear/wear, motorcycle publications and more will also be in attendance.
If you are ready to take your show on the road, contact Aimee Shultz at aimee@covalentlogic.com or Marielle Land-Howard at marielle@businessreport. com. And if you’ve served on a committee, then take the challenge of being on the board. It took me a couple of elections, but once I was voted in, I never looked back. The nominating committee will present the slate of candidates to our members at the April 17 luncheon during the Spring Convention. And in May, we’ll be presenting the Ralph Sims Award of

the Club?
I am a New Orleans native who attended LSU for business. In late 2005, I discovered my passion for photography and moved to Los Angeles to open a studio in Hollywood. After enjoying two years of success in L.A., I began to miss living in the south very much, and started considering a move back to Louisiana. In the spring of 2008, I sold my studio and started making plans to return to Baton Rouge. I made my arrival in Baton Rouge in December, and I immediately saw Ad Fed as an opportunity to network with the creative community here. I have enjoyed my first few months as a member of AAF-BR and look forward to many years to come!
Tiffany Goodyear Wakefield Graphic Designer As a graphic designer for the Louisiana Lottery Corporation since 2001, I’m responsible for designing Lottery scratch-off tickets, promotional items, print production, campaigns, outdoor and point-of-sale materials for Lottery products, which brought in more than $300 million in revenue last year. Our talented marketing team won three gold ADDY awards and three silver ADDY awards this year. In 2008, my metal lottery crawfish tray design received top honors for promotional premium items at the North American Association (NASPL) National Conference.

We Need Nominees!
I’ve been a proud member of Ad Fed for over seven years and served on four consecutive Bizarre Bazaar committees, in addition to serving as Diversity Chair & Communications Co-Chair on the 2004-2005 Ad Fed Board of Directors. I have continued my Ad Fed membership because of the wonderful friends I’ve met. The connections I’ve made have been an invaluable asset. Other than having to deal with Curtis Vann’s shenanigans, I highly recommend the organization to every designer!
