Anniversary Weekend Guidebook

Event: 40th Anniversary Weekend Kick Off Reception Date: Friday evening, November 8, 2013. Time: 7:00 pm Location: SigEp House 1530 East Mallard Creek Church Road, Charlotte, NC 28223 Food Served: Pizza and Sodas BYOB (please be discrete. Remember this is a facility that houses underage College students. We may be celebrating our founding in 1973, but this is not 1973 ). A casual get together to kick off the weekend. This will be a great opportunity to meet the current undergraduates and see the house, for those of you that haven’t been to the SigEp House recently. We hope to see you there. Directions from i-85 Northbound: Take exit 46A – Mallard Creek Church Road East Turn right onto W Mallard Creek Church Road Cross Highway 29. Destination will be on the right just before the road ends at Highway 49.

Directions from i-85 Southbound: Take exit 46 – Mallard Creek Church Road Turn left onto W Mallard Creek Church Road Cross Highway 29. Destination will be on the right just before the road ends at Highway 49.




Event : SigEp NC Nu Membership Association Registration and Meeting Date: Saturday Morning, November 9, 2013. Time: 8:30am Location: Meeting Room, Main Floor University Hilton Lobby It is important that all Association Members attend. Registration will be quick and the meeting will be brief. There will be a VERY BRIEF meeting, so that everyone can get to the tailgate and game. (If you do not have tickets, please check at the ticket window for available seats. Not all games have been sold out). This meeting is open to all eligible members of the association.



Event: Football Game Tailgate Date: Saturday Morning, November 9, 2013. Time: following Registration/Meeting at the Hilton Location: UNC Charlotte Campus There will be an Alumni tailgate tent set up on campus before the game and after the game before The Main Event. If you do not have tickets, please check at the ticket window before the game for available seats. Not all games have sold out.

UNC Charlotte Football Parking Here's what you can expect: Parking on campus will be at a premium November 9, 2013    

All entrances to campus will be closed five hours prior to kickoff, at 7:00 am, except for two: the Main Entrance and east entrance off John Kirk Road. Game-day entrances will be opened four hours prior to kickoff only to Game Day permit holders at the designated entrance for their permit. On the Friday prior to game day, signs will be placed in all tailgating lots and parking decks as notification that those lots and decks are closed and must be vacated. Vehicles parked in lots/decks designated for Football parking after midnight on Friday will be towed at the owner’s expense. Tow fee is $75.00 ALL parking for the game will require a specific Game Day parking permit

 

 

 

FSL holders will be provided with pre-printed Game Day parking permits. For questions concerning FSL Permits, please contact the Athletics foundation. Single Game Day permits will be available online for Union Deck (Yellow) or West Deck (Purple) through Click and Park at $15 per vehicle. Three hundred spaces in CRI Deck I (Orange Football Parking, closest deck to Jerry Richardson Stadium) will be made available through Click and Park for the October 5, October 12 and November 9 games. Price is $20. Cash parking will be available in Cone Deck (Pink) for $20 per vehicle. ADA Parking permits will be available through Click and Park for the CRI Deck. (Both an Orange CRI Deck ADA Game Day Permit and a State Issued Disability Placard must be presented for admittance.) When a Game Day permit is obtained through Click and Park, directions to the proper entrance are given. All parking permits will be collected upon entrance to the parking area; there is no exit and reentry.

Where: The Oasis Shrine Temple (near University Hilton) http://www.oasisshriners.org/OUR%20FACILITY.htm Dress Code: Semi-Formal Attire / Black Tie Optional Transportation: A shuttle has been arranged with the hotel to and from the event site. If you are not staying at the University Hilton, you will want to arrange transportation or have a designated driver to assure the only memories of the evening are good ones. Please don’t drink and drive. Cocktail Hour and Silent Auction:  

Cash bar (drink tickets to be sold upon arrival: beer, wine & liquor). Items will be on display for bidding throughout the Cocktail Hour.

Dinner:  

Three entrees (filet mignon, baked salmon and chicken in mushroom sauce) Green beans and mixed vegetables, tossed salad, rolls, tea

Additional Information:   

A DJ will play throughout the evening, including dance music after dinner Souvenir glasses will be given for each ticket purchased. A professional photographer will be taking pictures throughout the evening.
