The Cowboys welcomed a trio of transfers with guards Max Agbonkpolo and Ethan Anderson joining the team from the University of Southern California and Jake Kyman joining the Pokes from UCLA.

Agbonkpolo averaged 7.7 points per game to go along with three rebounds per night in 18 starts last season. Anderson averaged 4.4 points per game and 2.2 assists per contest. Kyman in 80 games for the Bruins in three seasons averaging 3.6 points per game to go along with 1.1 rebounds.

Wyoming also added a pair of freshmen to the roster in Texas native Caden Powell and Cheyenne native Nathanial Talich. Powell was rated as a three-star recruit by both 247sports.com and Rivals.com. He was listed as the 39th best center nationally by 247sports.com. Talich was a three-time All-State selection at Cheyenne Central High School averaging 23.3 points per game as a senior.

THE SCHEDULE

The Pokes will play 12 non-conference contests with six taking place in the Arena-Auditorium and six taking place on neutral floors. "Where we are at right now as a program to have the opportunity to play some very good teams on neutral floors is very important," Linder said. "Our nonconference schedule will be very challenging with teams that played in postseason play last year."

The Pokes open the season with three-straight contest in Laramie. Wyoming will open the season against Colorado Christian on November 7. Wyoming will then host Nicholls State on November 10 and wrap up the homestand by hosting Southeastern Louisiana on November 13. Nicholls State took part in the NIT last season

Wyoming will then head to 2022 U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam from November 18-21. The Cowboys open play against Howard on Nov. 18. The Pokes will then either face Drake or Buffalo in the second round of the tournament. Other teams include Tarleton State, Belmont, Boston College and George Mason.

After the trip to the Virgin Islands, Wyoming will face Santa Clara in a neutral site contest at Sal Lake Community College on November 30.

The Cowboys will then play three more contests facing Grand Canyon on December 3 in a non-conference meeting for the second-straight season. The Pokes will then host Texas A&M Commerce on December 6 and wrap up the home portion of the non-conference schedule against Louisiana Tech on December 10, as the Bulldogs are coming off a 24-win season a year ago.

In the inaugural Legends of Basketball Showcase, a college basketball quadruple header set for Dec. 17 at the United Center in Chicago. The Cowboys will face off against Dayton in an evening contest.

Wyoming will wrap up non-conference play on December 21. The Jerry Colangelo Classic, a premier college basketball showcase hosted at Footprint Center will see the Pokes will face Saint Mary's on December 21.

The 18-game conference slate features the Pokes opening the home portion of the schedule with fourgames on Saturday.

The Cowboys open conference play against Fresno State on December 28. Wyoming will then return home for a pair of Saturday conference games against New Mexico on December 31 and San Diego State on January 7.

The Pokes hit the road for a game at Utah State on January 10. The Pokes then host another Saturday matchup on January 14 against Boise State. Wyoming will face Air Force on the road on January 17 before facing Colorado State on January 21 in a Saturday Border War.

In other home contests during conference action, the Cowboys will face Fresno State on January 31. Wyoming will square up against UNLV on February 7. Wyoming will face Air Force (February 18) and Utah State (February 21) in back-to-back home contests. The Pokes will close out the home schedule on against Nevada on February 28.

The Pokes will play road contests at UNLV on January 24 and head to San Jose State for the only meeting this season on February 4. The Pokes will play back-to-back road games at Boise State on February 11 and New Mexico on Valentines Day. Wyoming faces CSU on the road on February 25 and close out the regular season at San Diego State on March 4.
