The beautiful Snowy Range Mountains are located just 27 miles west of Laramie on Highway 130. Resting in the shadows of the Snowy Range Mountains, the Vee Bar Guest Ranch is located 21 miles west of Laramie. The 100 year-old landmark has served as a cattle ranch, a stagecoach stop, a buffalo ranch, a summer guest ranch and a winter Bed & Breakfast. With careful restoration and creative décor, its western heritage has been preserved. The cabins and lodge offer antique furnishing from its rich and colorful past. The Vee Bar’s menu of home-cooked food is part of the great stay at the ranch. Dining is buffet style in the informal western tradition. The ranch also offers numerous activities such as horseback riding, hayrides, hiking, trap shooting, fishing and river tubing. The Old West Territorial Prison is located five minutes from downtown Laramie. The prison is a State Historic Site & Western Heritage attraction. The site is home to a restored 1870’s prison. Group tours should be arranged in advance. The Laramie Plains Museum is located in the heart of Laramie at 603 Ivinson Street. The museum is housed in a restored 1892 Victorian mansion build by Edward Ivinson, one of Laramie’s original settlers. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it is furnished with period pieces, including hand-carved furniture made at the territorial prison. The museum’s exhibits include outstanding collections donated by Laramie area pioneers. The American Heritage Center collects, preserves and catalogs manuscripts, photographs, maps, audio-visual materials, rare books and artifacts related to Wyoming and the West, economic geology, the petroleum and mining industries, transportation, American culture, conservation, and water resources. It is home to the papers of many prominent individuals including statesmen, authors, journalists, artists, pioneers, and entertainers. The AHC also houses the University of Wyoming Archives and the 50,000 book collection of the University of Wyoming. Students and scholars from around the world use the collections of the AHC and the AHC sponsors a wide range of scholarly and popular programs including lectures, concerts, symposia, and exhibits. The University of Wyoming Art Museum is located in the dramatic Centennial Complex on the university campus. The museum exhibitions offer something for everyone and are displayed in an exciting gallery environment. Special programs, lectures, openings, workshops, classes, and tours are held on a regular basis. The University of Wyoming Art Museum offers a year-round source of education and entertainment for the entire family. UW Geological Museum is located on the campus of the University of Wyoming in the S.H. Knight Geology Building. A wide variety of exhibits are on display of the physical and historical geology of Wyoming. Rocks and minerals as well as vertebrate, invertebrate, and plant fossils are displayed. Group tours should be arranged in advance.

NCAA Bylaw – 16 (This will be strictly enforced) The individual utilizing the complimentary admission must present identification to the person supervising the use of the pass list at the admission gate. The individual then shall be provided a ticket stub, other identification, a specified reserved seat, directed to a specific reserved-section/seating area, or treated as a general admission ticket holder. Other Policies    

Payment or exchange of complimentary admissions for anything of value is not permissible. An institution may provide a maximum of four (4) complimentary admissions per home or away contests to a student-athlete in the sport in which the student-athlete participates. Complimentary admissions can NOT be assigned to a third party. Complimentary admissions shall be provided only through a pass list for individuals designated by the student-athlete.

Practice:

Wyoming normally practices from 3:00 to 5:00 pm on the Friday preceding the game. Call Director of Football Operations, Brent Vernon (307-766-3163) to finalize practice arrangements.

Dressing Rooms:

The visitors’ dressing room is located on the east side of the fieldhouse, room #113 (Diagram A). Equipment move-in should be coordinated with our football equipment manager, Dan Stinson in the RAC equipment room. Please contact, Dan Stinson (307-766-2262) with any questions. The University of Wyoming will provide security Friday evening for the locker room complex. In addition, 6 cases of Gatorade, 250 towels and quartered oranges will be provided on game day. To enter the field at all times the team will depart from the middle doors of the fieldhouse and proceed to the North entrance of the field. The team will depart the field from the North at all times and return to the dressing room.

Officials:

Officials for home games will be assigned by Greg Burks, the Coordinator of Football Officials. Officials will report three hours prior to kick-off. The official’s dressing rooms are located in the Arena-Auditorium.

Uniforms:

Wyoming will wear brown, gold, or gray jerseys with gold, brown, or gray pants.

Bench Area:

The visiting team will be positioned on the west side (press box) of the field. Sixty (60) bench passes will be given to your advance group or mailed upon request. Please contact Associate AD for Media and Public Relations, Tim Harkins (307-766-2321) for bench passes. The will enter/depart the field from the northwest end zone (Diagram A). Security officers will be located in bench area.

Sideline Communication:

The following dry pairs are available (request prior to arrival): For the visiting team there are eight (8) RJ14 both up in the booth and on the sideline. These have four (4) wires in each, wired for pin with no phase reversal. They are numbered 1 through 8 to match up and down, and they have enough length to reach the team area. In addition, there is one ring down phone up in booth and on the field with enough cord to reach the team area. There is also a 120vac 20A power outlet on both the sideline and in the booth with enough cord to reach the team area. Technicians will be available in the event problems occur. Should you have any questions, please call Dan Stinson.

Game Timing Sheet:

Timing Sheets will be provided the week of the game and will be based on the following: Field Open for teams pre-game – 2 hours prior to kick-off 17

Wyoming will warm up at the north end, visitors at the south end (Diagram A).

Coaches’ Booth Passes:

Passes for assistant coaches to gain access to the press box and booth will be given out along with bench passes. A maximum of six (6) passes are available for the booth. Press box access is by means of an elevator located at the southwest corner of the fieldhouse.

Visiting AD Booth:

The visiting AD box is located on the top level of the press box. There will be eight (8) spaces available for the visiting AD in the Wyoming press box. AD booth passes will be given to your advance rep or mailed upon request. Please address all questions to Tim Harkins.

Visiting Team Radio:

The booth is located on the top level of the press box beside the visiting team AD booth (south of press area).

Ticket Information:

All complimentary tickets are issued per MWC regulations and/or contract arrangements. Any arrangements for complimentary and consignment tickets should be made with Director of Ticket Operations, Charley Thrash (307-7665039). Visiting teams need to provide their own representative to staff the visiting team player pass gate (Gate 2 – Diagram A).

Programs:

Eighty (80) programs will be placed in the visiting team dressing room prior to the game.

Athletic Training:

Two (2) host student trainers will be assigned for your assistance. They will help as needed. Our team orthopedist and our team doctor (internal medicine) will be located on the Wyoming sideline. A portable X-Ray/Fluoroscopy unit is available on game day. The ambulance unit will be stationed at the north end zone. They will respond at your request. If you need any special arrangements please contact our Director of Sports Medicine, Ryan Pinson (307-766-2323).

Cheerleaders & Band:

Cheerleaders, band members (in uniform) and a mascot will be permitted on the field through the Gate 1 entrance (Diagram A). These individuals must stay clear of the outlined bench area. Vans will be parked in lot “FA” and busses will be parked on 19th street (Diagram B). All questions pertaining to these groups should be directed to our to the head game manager, Tyson Drew (307-766-2007).

Parking:

The visiting AD can be provided with up to four (4) parking passes, one in the DS lot and three (3) in the FA lot (Diagram B). These passes can be picked up in the Office of Media & Public Relations along with eight (8) AD booth passes and thirty-five (35) sideline passes. The equipment truck will be parked next to the stadium on the south side of the Fieldhouse. Team buses will enter the gate at the stadium through the east lot off of 22nd street. Two (2) team buses will enter the stadium at the southwest corner (Gate 1). These two (2) buses will park under the stadium will park under the stadium during the game on the west side near the dressing room. Additional buses will park in the connector area between “D” lot and “FA” lot or on 19th street if necessary (Diagram B). 18

Police Escorts:

Upon request, we will provide a police escort from a hotel in Laramie to the stadium on game day. After the game, an escort may be provided to I-80. If your team hotel is located away from the Laramie area (ex. Cheyenne) a police escort may be arranged from Grand Avenue exit off I-80, located east of Laramie, to the stadium.

Locker Room:

Located in the lower level of the Arena Auditorium. There will be athletic personnel to welcome and assist you upon arrival. Showers and towels are available on request.

Uniform Colors:

Wyoming’s uniform colors are Brown, White and Gold. The Cowgirls wear white for all home games, unless otherwise specified.

Officials:

Officials for home games will be assigned by Norma Carr, the MWC Coordinator of Volleyball Officials. Officials will report one hour prior to game time. The official’s dressing rooms are located in the Arena-Auditorium.

Media Area:

Statistics:

The UW Office of Media & Public Relations will provide statistics between sets and after the game.

The visiting team occupies the bench to the right of the scorer’s table as viewed from the court. Minimum of fifteen (15) chairs will be set in the bench area. Only coaches, players, trainers, managers and basketball staff personnel will be allowed in the bench area.

Located in the lower level of the AA. There will be athletic personnel to welcome and assist you upon arrival. Sports drinks and towels will be placed in your locker room prior to your arrival. Water will be available for the coaching staff upon request.
