The appearance of the cantilever structure is an unbalanced structure The cantilever structure has a very critical moment force that the structure could not handle so it will collapse.
From the past, the human is being challenged to overcome the power of gravity by building a challenging structure such as a bridge, and skyscrapers. This project is to challenge gravity by designing the large span cantilever structure. The structure is sitting on the ground with one small leg and has the 1-meter cantilever span away. The moment force would make the structure unbalanced so we design the counterweight to balance the structure. Collaboration : Watcharin Phuengchandum, Pimchanok Na Patalung

To reduce the moment force, we extend the structure to the opposite side to create the counterweight force which makes the structure balanced. This was inspired by a tower cane.

The Bike Away is a single unit resort located in Phetchabun, Thailand. This project is for a backpacker who is passionate about the bike. The main idea of this project is to motivate a biker to longing for a ride in the next day. Before entering the room, Guest has to get through the tough circulation so that a guest would lazy and stay in the room. The view in a room will motivate them for riding.
The biker has to climb up the ladder than go down the stairs before getting into the room. This circulation act as the buffering space that kept the guest inside the room.
When entering the building, the biker has to park their bike in this area before getting into a room.
When a guest spending their time resting in the room, they would see a bike and a view beyond. This would motivate them to ride on another day.

In the world of living, working might be a very tense routine. This project is located in Sathorn, the prime area of Bangkok. Bussiness is all around. A concept of the design is to hide away form bad environment outside the building and live in a good environment inside their room. This project is also concern of the sustainable with a ventilation , shading facade.

TYPE A
TYPE B
How is condominium looks like today? That is a question before I start this project. A lot of problem is happened. For example, no ventilation for toilet ,too much heat gain for this tropical crountry, a typical design of condominium conern too much about the profit after they sold out so they simplify some design to a minimun cost.
TYPE C
So I analyze the typical design and this is what I found
1ST STOREY
The use of a balcony is mostly use for smoking, hanging clothes, place to install CDU. It’s not the space to live in a comfortable condition. So a balcony would be waste space. The concept is to re-design waste space.

Balcony is define as private outdoor space.

This resort is located in Ayutthaya where it’s strong culture. I use some bricks as the language of design to identify ayutthaya. The site was a floating market before so there is a large pond in this site. The feeling of space that I design is that a user will slowly sense that they are surrounded by a huge rice lawn, meaning of Ayutthaya rice lawn in the past.

This resort is located in Chiangmai, near the northest of thailand. The site is a very narrow shape with Ping river in front of this site. If you stand in the site and look over a river direction, you would see Doi-Suthep hill which make this direction to be a major view of the site. The design intention is to place most of the villa facing to a major view direction so that everyone would see a very picturesque scene. With that intention make a narrow form of villa to use a very little space becuase of a very large number of villa unit are required.

This project is to propose the new construction of the old international airport due to the capacity of a tourist has increased. The main concept of this building this about the circulation of arrival and departure which I refer to the old urban planning back in Ayuthaya era. So I decide to make the feeling that a passenger who walks through the airport feel like they are walking in-out the city

The program of this project is an interior design of Bao Bao Store by Issey Miyake. The Design must Correspond to the Brand image and insist on its identity. The Distinctive characteristic of this brand is simplicity, luxury and unique pattern of a bag. Therefore, we design the store to be simple with white displays to highlight a stand display placed in the center of the store. As thr signature of Bao Bao bag is triangular, we use this pattern to create the stand display, which defines the dynamics. To let the products stand out, their identity and flexibility are the principles of the disign. Collaboration : Pasinee Trakulroj, Chanawat Anantanarat, Pasut Limsiri

DEVELOPEMENT OF BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING (BIM) TOOLS TO CALCULATE THE STORMWATER RUNOFF IN PRELIMINARY DESIGN STAGE Keywords : Stormwater Runoff, Building Infromation Modeling, Preliminary Design Stage
Advisor : Assoc.Phof. Atch Sreshthaputra Ph.D
Currently, flooding is a problem that occurs frequently. It mostly occurs in developed areas such as Bangkok. This has led to a developments of various design criteria, such as LEED, TREES, and EIA, in order to retain water within the project area. The water runoff from the project area could then be discharged to public systems in time. It is necessary to calculate the amount of stormwater runoff volume and discharge rate. The stormwater runoff volume calculation methods nowadays, using manual calculations, Microsoft Excel worksheets or stormwater management software programs, are complex and difficult for designers to use. It also requires knowledge of stormwater management in order to use these tools. Currently, Building Information Model (BIM) is becoming useful in the design of various building projects. The most popular program in Thailand is Revit, which has an add-on program called Dynamo that can retrieve data from Revit to calculate complex mathematical data. Therefore, in this research, Revit and Dynamo were used to develop a stormwater runoff calculation tool that can automatically calculate the stormwater runoff volume and discharge rate. The process to develop the tools consists of, user survey, tools developing, tools validation, and tools testing by users. By comparing the calculation result from the proposed tools with the result from the manual calculation in Microsoft Excel. The developed tool includes 3 types of files which are Revit, Dynamo, and Excel. It appears that the tool has the maximum error of Âą 2.52% which occurs from the limitations of the model creation method in Revit which affects the running of Dynamo script especially the component that has a large number of surfaces such as topography component type which using the Dynamo script to calculate the drainage area will cause more error.
