The Hoax Theory - How do Animals Predict Earthquake

Distribution of animal behavior incidents according to the distance from the epicenter and the time before the main shock of 36 different earthquakes in Europe, Asia, North America, and South America. Symbols indicate reports on the following animals: catfish, eels, other fish, frogs, snakes, turtles, sea birds, chickens, other birds, dogs, cats, deer, horses, cows, rats, and mice.

Researchers began to investigate these chemical effects after seeing a colony of toads abandon its pond in L’Aquila, Italy, in 2009 - days before a quake. They suggest that animal behaviour could be incorporated into earthquake forecasting.

With the use of QGIS mapping system, we observe the severity of earthquake in whole umbria from 1985-2014. Also we can see an invisible connection between Animal movement and concentation during these period.

Project Zoom into into Preci (province of Perugia) after analysing and overlapping earthquake and its concentration. After a deep research of animal behaviour during earthquake, project set birds as a starting point . The investiagtion of their habitat leads to the development of project.

Interconnection between built environment and landscape is established through bridging the gap between the fields.

Chanelling paths

Rainwater from mountains are chanelled through the spaces which can connect different medium of habitat and spaces. This flow is the divider between two entities and flow into river stream and to the wetland.

“Man continues to mark the land relentlessly shaping the surface from wilderness to cultivation. Strategies of mechanization, the necessity of irrigation and the demands of inhabitation introduce a new order. So the “countryside” which has evolved over centuries can be described as under the influence of nature but under the CONTROL of man. The ‘natural’ landscape has taken on an artificial patination. Alien materials interrupt the process of growth and decay.”

The intent of the proposal is to create a habitat for the specie to grow and nurture. The wetland acts as a backbone for the monitoring centre and research centre. The intervention will help to remediate from the present situation of human encroachment to nature.

The length of the time over which memory about something extends depends on the nature of the thing; and on how important it was. But big or small there is at least some duration for the memory to persist. The moot point here is that memory is not something to be celebrated seasonally and remembrance should not be done simply for the sake of doing it. And for the respect being paid, bird droppings and being victim of public outrage is never the way.

The answer to a small space was a sculpture; rather an improvised version of it, an elevated space: a tower of remembrance. At the very moment the solution is identified as a tower, the scale in which it has to be materialized is thought of. Being located in the midst of a busy town, the space has to be wrapped up in an essential buffer: natural as well as a built one.Is eiciend
