What Is Raw Proviron (Mesterolone)?

Raw mesterolone is a crystalline powder, white to yellowish and does not dissolve in water. It is commonly known by its brand name, Proviron. Each Proviron tablet/pill contain around 25mg raw mesterolone powder.Unlike other steroids, raw Mesterolone features very weak or even zero anabolic activity.

For this reason, it is not referred to an anabolic steroid. It is administered orally thus no mesterolone injection.

Schering developed Mesterolone in 1934. It is rated among the oldest steroids used alongside Methyltestosterone and Testosterone Propionate which were developed and used in medicine in 1935 and 1937 respectively. Testosterone propionate and Methyltestosterone were more known due to their strong anabolic activity. Proviron was considered a weaker steroid thus its popularity did not proliferate compared to the other two steroids.

As much as Mesterolone (Proviron) is considered an ancient drug, its positive features still stand out up to date. It is a very effective medication regarding tolerance among users and safety. Raw Proviron(Mesterolone) Chemical Characteristics Mesterolone is a Dihydrotestosterone derivative altered through the inclusion of a methyl group, 1-methyl-dihydrotestosterone, on its 1st carbon. For this reason, this drug does not undergo hepatic breakdown thus can be administered orally. Among the oral anabolic steroids, Proviron is one of the few without C17-alpha alkylated but rather carries a methyl group.

Oral Primobolan falls under the same category as Proviron concerning the methyl group. C17-aa oral steroids feature a higher bioavailability than Proviron. This has affected Proviron’s popularity among performance enhancing bodybuilders negatively.

Comparing with testosterone, Mesterolone carries an anabolic and androgenic rating of 100-150 and 30-40 respectively. Testosterone rates at 100 in each category.
