Wynyard Quarter is all set to accommodate the event with the Viaduct Events Centre the official base for our Emirates Team New Zealand (ETNZ) and Silo Park expanding to create more space for spectators, including the all-new Urunga Plaza.

Spark has also unveiled the 5G Race Zone from 1 October 2020 to March 2021, featuring seven zones that offer immersive and family-friendly experiences such as 4D 'on-board' virtual reality and the chance to digitally build your own AC75 racing yacht. Located at the Emirates Team New Zealand Base on the Wynyard, it's 100 per cent free, but bookings are required at spark.co.nz/racezone.

SUMMERNOVA FESTIVAL

Designed to complement Auckland’s hosting of the 36th America’s Cup, the city will erupt with festivity – on both land and on water.

Summernova will see more than 12 events taking place, with a stellar line-up of festivals and family-friendly events. Look out for Sunsetter Food Wine and Music Festival which will transform Smales Farm in Takapuna on 13 February 2021, as well as Waterbourne, a sustainable beach festival on Takapuna Beach, various market days, long themed lunches and several outdoor artworks dotted throughout the city.

Events in the Summernova line-up have been selected to reflect the guiding principles of the 36th America’s Cup, which include Manaakitanga (a warm welcome), Kaitiakitanga (guardianship) and Kotahitanga (collaboration and participation), and to reflect Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland’s vibrant indigenous culture.
