Ride for Future Entrepreneurs

A 3-day, 3-state bicycle Journey to raise funds for The Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE Chicago)

Evan Oliff is founder of Preferred Development, Inc. With over two decades of experience in the industry, Evan has earned a reputation of success in commercial property development. His love for cycling, combined with his entrepreneurial spirit has led Evan to embark on this endeavor to help shape the future of our youth.

Going the Distance Evan will be starting his long journey in Chicago, after visiting the two NFTE programs designated to receive donation. He will then travel through Michigan and end in Decatur, Indiana. During the Ride for Future Entrepreneurs, Evan will stop at 24 Walgreens along the way that he has developed during his career, for a total of a 280 miles bike ride.

Why Ride? “I believe that the future of our economy will be determined by the creativity and business sense of our children” Evan is an established entrepreneur with over two decades of experience as a property developer, often times building in low-‐ income communities. Evan is determined to give back to these communities by developing entrepreneurship programs that will provide Chicago’s youth with the resources needed to explore their entrepreneurial spirit. While biking is a hobby of Evans, this 280-‐ mile journey has a greater mission.

The Mission

The NFTE program helps high school students shape their academic and professional future. NFTE’s philosophy is simple: providing programs that inspire young people from low-‐income communities to stay in school, recognize business opportunities, and plan for successful futures. Entrepreneurship education gives students a reason to be excited about the high school education and leads to graduation, college, and future success. Through individual donations and corporate sponsorships, Evan hopes to raise funds for the NFTE programs at James Shields Middle School and _____________. The donations will be used towards field trips, experiential activities, and facilitating more than 100 entrepreneurial students in reaching their own personal milestones.
