Well, I'm back and not a lot to talk about except let's see for all those who haven't heard starting on the 21 of June 2013 no more emission testing in Maricopa County for motorcycles and other vehicles using motorcycle plates.
There are still outstanding issues in Arizona that we will continue to deal with and they are the Anti-profiling bill, we will accomplish this without throwing any group under the bus.
We still have lane advancement and toll roads that could use our attention.
With Too Broke for Sturgis quickly approaching everyone remember, if you get pull over by law enforcement video
the encounter if you can.
I hope everyone makes it to Too Broke without incident and has a great weekend, and remember keep the shiny side up and the rubber side down. Victor Grady Coordinator Phoenix/Shadow Mtn. Chapter ABATE of Az. Designated Lobbyist ABATE of Arizona

Hello to all my Brothers and Sisters,
Well, here it is July already, and for those of us that live in the lower half of the state, I don’t have to remind you how hot it is every day. If you have to work outside it’s like working inside a pizza oven! Would you like to wake up to clean air, overnight temperatures in the low 70’s, daytime highs in the 80’s? Better yet, let’s invite all your friends and relatives (the ones you want to party with) for a 4 day, non-stop Old Fashion Biker Event! Our party is on private property. The event is limited to participants 18 years and older, (proof of age is required with or without parent or guardian). The event includes; Tent camping in the tall pines, RV and trailer camping adjacent to tent campers. Bikes are allowed in tent area but no 4 wheelers in tent camping area. Entertainment includes but not limited to; Poker Walk, People Games, Tattoo Contests (separate men and woman contests). Ms. Too Broke for Sturgis Contest (must be female and Arizona resident). You and your friends are encouraged to attend ABATE of Arizona’s 22nd Annual “Old Fashioned Biker Bash” , the largest and longest running Biker event in Arizona. “How much is this going to cost me?” you might ask. Pac Report – Jim Page *Sent to officers email * Motorcycle Emissions Testing after June 21, 2013 will no longer be law in Maricopa County. Federal EPA wait time ends June 21, 2013. No further testing of motorcycles will be required. Thanks to everyone who worked on this legislation, Past and current Lobbyists, Officers and Members.
Phoenix Motorcycles From the ADEQ website: In 2008, the Arizona Legislature passed House Bill 2280 authorizing the exemption of motorcycles from emissions testing requirements in the Phoenix area. The exemption required the approval of the U.S. EPA by July 2014 (as authorized by House Bill 2033 in April 2010 and extended by House Bill 2073 in 2012).) A request for approval of the exemption was submitted to the U.S. EPA on November 10, 2009. An addendum was submitted on January 12, 2011. Copies of the submittals are available upon request by calling the SIP Unit at (602) 771-2373. The U.S. EPA's approval becomes effective on June 21, 2013 (78 FR 30209; May 22, 2013). After June 21, 2013, motorcycles in the metro Phoenix area will no longer be required to be tested.

Caucus The Motorcycle Riders Foundation reports that Representatives Michael Capuano (D-MA) and James Sensenbrenner (R-WI) are working together to protect your right to privacy while operating a motor vehicle. Increasingly, today's vehicles come equipped with an "event data recorder" or "black box". The purpose of this equipment is to record what happens in the moments prior to a crash. Currently, there is no federal law that clarifies the rights of the vehicle owner to maintain ownership of the recorded data. The two members of congress have developed legislation that would keep the data recorded in the hands of the owner unless they give permission to access the data. The bill also requires dealers to "prominently disclose if the automobile or motorcycle is equipped with a black box and its capacities". National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a formal warning that they intend to require all automobiles manufactured after September 1, 2014 be equipped with the black box. The MRF fully supports this legislation. Please contact your member of congress and ask them to cosponsor the Sensenbrenner / Capuano Black Box Privacy Protection Act.
You can reach the Capitol switchboard at (202) 224-3121. Congressional Motorcycle Caucus The House of Representatives has reformed the U.S. House Motorcycle Caucus. The returning co-chair, Dr. Michael Burgess (TX), is joined by new co-chair Tim Griffin (AR). Rep. Griffin is in his second term with the House and is an avid and excitable rider who recently addressed the Bikers Inside the Beltway attendees. The purpose of the caucus is not political, but rather a forum for motorcycle minded members of congress to develop legislation and serve as a sounding board for all things motorcycle related in the congress. LEST WE FORGET - D-DAY JUNE 6,1944
PLACES TO RIDE BEFORE YOU DIE: OMAHA BEACH -DOG GREEN SECTOR
On my way over to ride the Pyrenees Mountains, I stopped and paid my respects to those that died at Omaha Beach in Normandy. If you ever get the chance to go, take it. You will never forget what was done there. On June 6th, 1944, among the many units, Company A of the 116th Regiment was to hit the beach at Dog Green Sector in a Higgins boat-not a good place to be. All 200 of them were from Bedford Virginia (a wonderful place to ride to if you are riding the Shenandoah Valley). They have a monument on the town square to the 176 of Company A that died when the ramp of their landing craft dropped and exposed all of them to German MG 42 machine guns. At 1500 rounds per minute, the boys from Bedford didn't have a chance. The MG 42 sounds like a chainsaw when it is fired probably the most dreaded sound at Omaha Beach. So distinctively terrifying was this machine gun that the Army developed training films to help our troops deal with the psychological trauma of facing this weapon. It made a sound like ripping cloth. Our boys called it crudely Hilter’s zipper. It bothers me that, I am pretty sure our soldiers knew what they were in for when the ramp on that Higgins boat dropped. The thought of dying for my county is ok with me, but dying before I even had a chance to shoot back is not. I gathered some sand from Dog Green sector; I couldn't help it. I will put that sand in an hourglass and set it on my desk to remind me of what they did and what a bad day is all about.
After I left the beach, I had to visit the Colleville cemetery where the Bedford boys and many others are buried. It overlooks Omaha Beach and by any definition is a holy place. I couldn’t talk there - draw your own conclusions. The gravestones are marked with the name and state of the fall-

en soldier. Indiana, Illinois, Ohio and Missouri are inscribed on too many. Before leaving, I thought Omaha Beach was a long way from home for those guys and I wondered how many of their folks were able to visit the graves before they too, passed on. It bothers me that most of their loved ones didn’t get the chance to pay their respects.
P.S. Our guide took us by the German cemetery. I didn’t ask to go there and he did not ask if I wanted to go. If he had, I would have said no, after all I had lost family in that conflict. I learned there was a 13 year old German soldier buried there, and there was a marker that said, “Most here did not pick the fight or the cause”. I am glad I went. MIRACLE RIDE 2013 - 20 YEARS OF BIKERS HELPING KIDS
Twenty years ago when the Ride was planned at our offices, I could not fathom that we would be celebrating a 20th Ride. On that first ride in 1993 we were so rained on, I would have bet truck titles that there would never be another ride. That ride has provided almost $4 million dollars to the kids. All raised by a bunch of bikers who chose to give up personal hours to help others. $4 million dollars - wow! We are very proud of the money it has raised over the years with the help of countless volunteers. The mainstay of this effort has always been with volunteers and the Ride has never needed many paid staff members.
The volunteer linebackers of this effort have always included Kathy Schulteti, Sandy Kite Hunt, Rick Chupp and Kathy’s daughter Lori and her son Cauy. They were godsends for all three days and more. Helen and Billy Asbell worked alongside Scooter to do what was needed. How else can you get 8 thousand bikers registered and instructed for the Runs and the Ride? Sandy even drags in her family to work, and work they do. They come from that part of the country where work ethic is king. So Bill and Jim Hunt were there for everything that was needed. Backing them up was Linda
and John Bacher and of course Cynthia Erwin. Rick Chupp always does the silent auction and is an expert at it (of course he has been at it for 20 years). Modestly, he suggests that he has had lots of time to get it right, and he raises a ton of money. Harley SouthSide Hog Chapter was there in force. Bill Leatherman, Veva (I love her name) and Shug Shugert were there to the end. So were Sherry and Mark Welsh and Jack and Linda Hibner. They helped with the Run at SouthSide and at registration. And what would we do without the Christian Motorcycle Association? And what about all of the Poker Run Starts and Stops? ABATE members were everywhere as they have always been. Then there is the best merchandise sales person in the world Janie Posey. Gary Schwebach fought city hall for our permit. John Barto and Phil Jarson fed us as we were serenaded by Big Mike (why doesn’t he have a Grammy?). John Thomas and family did everything. Then of course, there is the WORLD’S BEST CPA, Gino Johnson. He was on site from Wednesday till the end, working his numbers magic for the Kids. And he keeps everything honest. No one can slip one past Gino. What more from a former IRS AGENT?
Jad Porter put in an incredible effort, especially this year. His 93 year old mother was dying during the Miracle Ride efforts. She knew it was her time to go, but she directed her son to “go help the kids”. And he did. Her funeral was put off until Monday - after the ride. That is the way she wanted it. Somehow that gives volunteering for the kids a new and holy meaning.
IMS and Lucas Raceway Park provide our setting. Jeff Collier of Lucas was amazing in his help with the racing. Quite a thrill to watch Bob Schulteti’s (of the famous Schulteti family) old dragster make yet another run. Hard to believe such a kind human being could have that racing/killer instinct, but he sure did in his glory days. And I bet he still does down deep. The folks at Allison’s give us a place, support and dollars. They are a Riley prayer

We had a good turnout at our June meeting. Kat Grover spoke about what she learned on her trip to Washington D.C. and what needs to be addressed with our Senators and Congressman. We also covered what when wrong with SB1086 and how to reintroduce the bill.
We had a guest speaker from one of our local law firms, who explained the current view of Insurance companies on motorcycle injuries. Aparrently some companies will not cover certain injuries if you are not wearing a helmet. My personal thought... Perhaps we should have the executives from these companies sit in one of their fancy convertibles wearing helmets in rush hour traffic to see how they fare.
Our next meeting will be held on Jul 14th at the Arizona American Italian Club, located at 7509 North 12th Street Phoenix, Arizona 85020. Breakfast, served by the Arizona American Italian Club staff, starts at 10:00 AM for $5/per person, Meeting begins at 10:30.
This is also the day that we prepare the packets for TBFS. Bring your kids, friends, neighbors, pet monkeys or any one/thing else that can help prepare packets. Steve Palmer Phoenix-Shadow Mountain ABATE Communications Officer
ABATE’s Rider Advantage
Good Day,
First I would like to honor, thank and congratulate the ARA Board of Directors, past and present. With out the amount of time, effort and faith shared over the past 18 months we would still have been merely an idea. We now begin the final process of becoming tangible as an operating business. The transition to this long awaited goal is here at last, as we assemble the final pieces and formalities. The battle plans are drawn and the fight is now on to actually begin MSF training, cost savings, and reducing the some of 60,000 plus estimated unlicensed motorcyclists here in AZ.
Realistically we are set to open in September of 2013 as the awaited positive negotiations with Phoenix’s own local USAF 161st Air Refueling Wing & Air National Guard have now commenced. This will be one of the most historic acclaims for The State of Arizona, ABATE of Arizona and the ARA, especially all who have participated will permanently share in this unique and distinct honor!
The Military has offered The ARA a home, including but not limited their HQ for classrooms, their parking lot(s) for a full sized MSF training course (yes it will be painted just like the book), Storage areas and as in their words “the icing on the cake”, access to a motorcy-
cle simulator. Yet have I been able to match these circumstances to any other in AZ history, seems like a beautiful & historical first, again. The ARA in return has offered Phoenix’s 161st Air Refueling Wing to supply the motorcycles, track painting, staff, trainers and MSF programs @ realistic costs. Of course this is an overview of our program and partners in saving lives through education.
The residual of all of this will be improving motorcyclists riding skills to National standards, especially those that cannot afford current costs to do so. This will also be cost effective, the money you save on insurance costs will pay for these courses and eventually you will be actually making money off what you don’t spend (smart money).
We will be employing Arizonans as ARA Instructors that are MSF certified not only Civilians but Military personnel too. When you sum it up it is nothing short of astonishing patriotism. Americans helping Americans, our Military and Civilians combining bringing education, safety, jobs, and saving lives. To me this is the essence to what my definition of being an American Freedom Fighter is all about. Jimmy “Maverick” Clark, ARA President

Our May meeting was held on the 18th which was the third Saturday of the month as always. We would like to extend a big THANK YOU to Sam and everyone at the KETTLE Restaurant for all their support and for the use of the meeting every month for our meetings at no charge to the Chapter.
The attendance at the May meeting was a little low due to several members and officers being out of town for various reasons. We did have about 16 in attendance.
The upcoming months seem to have a lot of events and projects to fill our calendar. Now that TBFS is confirmed back at Mormon Lake Lodge we are starting to get everything in place for another enjoyable trip up to the Tall Pines of Northern Arizona. Flyers and cards are being distributed to members to post and pass out at every event, shop or watering hole in southern Arizona so that the word is out!! The Chapter will also be having a drawing to benefit our efforts to promote motorcycle awareness throughout southern Arizona. Prizes include a flat screen TV, gas grill, and a DVD player. Tickets are available from any SAC officer or member.
Everyone planning on going up to TBFS, be sure to pack your rain gear as it always seems to rain at least once over the weekend. Ride safe and PLEASE be on the look-out for Deer and Elk!! Jim Butsback Coordinator Southern Arizona Chapter

So, we held our meeting at a new location, "Doreen's Backstreet" in Chino Valley! They welcomed us with open arms, & treated us VERY WELL! We had no quorum, due to several officers absent, but the meeting ran well. Run to the Hills wasn't the success we'd hoped for, but was a Great Party nevertheless! Next year's event will be at a new location, to be disclosed later. We will be looking for a cooler venue, cooler temperature wise that is.
The topic of "Road Snakes" was discussed at length. These things fill the cracks in the asphalt, and according to Ron Crites, an estimator for Technology Construction Inc., is done in stages. Most municipalities, in an effort to use up their
allotted monies for the fiscal year, have done the first step only...which is a hazard for us as motorcyclists. After July 1st, there will be bids from various companies to get the contracts to "finish" the job. The long & short of this is we've got these slippery spots in the road to contend with until around September. I posted on the ABATE e-mail list how to contact the people at ADOT to POLITELY voice your concerns. I would urge everyone to contact your Congressman and let them know as well! You might suggest that Warning Signs be placed where they are using this "unfinished" process. It occurs to me that this issue puts ALL OF US in Danger, and a little better planning on ADOT's part would far better serve us as taxpayers. The topics of, "Too Broke for Sturgis", our "Fall Membership Run", are our next on our agenda. We'll be discussing these, and much, much more at our next Chapter meeting, to be held again at Doreen's in Chino Valley, the second Sunday of July (July 14th) at 11:00am! MASTERLINK JULY 2013 In the meantime, U.S. Representatives Mike Capuano (D-MA) and Jim Sensenbrenner (R-WI) have announced their intentions to introduce the “Black Box Privacy Protection Act” that will protect drivers’ and riders’ rights by requiring dealers to disclose to consumers if a vehicle is equipped with an EDR, would require manufacturers to allow consumers to deactivate the device, and clarifies that the owner of the vehicle owns the data and it cannot be accessed without permission.
"Consumers should have control over the information collected by event data recorders in vehicles that they own and they should have the option of disabling the device if they choose to do so. This is a basic issue of privacy," said Rep. Capuano.
DESPITE MEDIA HYPE, MOTORCYCLING IS SAFER
Record numbers of motorcycles over the past few years have resulted in an increased number of annual motorcyclist fatalities, and in light of overall motor vehicle fatalities steadily decreasing gives the impression that motorcycling is
What Is ABATE?
ABATE Of Arizona, Inc. is a non-profit motorcycle rights organization that is dedicated to freedom of the road for all motorcyclists.
ABATE is a volunteer organization that fights discriminatory legislation aimed towards the motorcycling community. ABATE's position is that all motorcycle riders have the right to choose not only the machine that they ride, but also the riding gear that they choose to wear or not to wear, (i.e. leathers, gloves, boots and helmets.) ABATE promotes rider education for all motorcycle riders and motorcycle awareness for all automobile drivers. ABATE needs the support of all motorcyclists.

becoming more dangerous, but just the opposite is true.
While so-called safety experts point to more and more states relaxing their helmet laws as the root of all this evil, it’s in fact a numbers game that motorcycle enthusiasts are winning.
Over the past five years, since 2007 when there were just over seven million motorcycles in the U.S., motorcycle registrations nationwide have ballooned to eight and a half million; an increase of 15% more motorcycles on the road today, while at the same time fatalities per 100,000 registered motorcycles has actually decreased by nearly a quarter! Moreover, over the past decade motorcycle registrations have risen 40.7% (from 5,004,156 in 2002 to 8,437,502 in 2011), but the fatality rate dropped 17.3% (from 65.35 per 100K to 54.66).
on the U.S. DOT Federal Highway Administration website: Year - Registered Motorcycles / Rider Fatalities = Fatality Rate per 100,000 Motorcycles 2007 - 7,138,476 / 5,174 = 72.48 2008 - 7,752,926 / 5,312 = 68.52 2009 - 7,929,724 / 4,469 = 56.35 2010 - 8,009,503 / 4,518 = 56.40 2011 - 8,437,502 / 4,612 = 54.66

GERMAN STUDY CLAIMS MOTORCYCLE HELMETS COULD BE SIGNIFICANTLY SAFER
Spaces between the skull and the protective layer / liner result in less optimal protection in case of an impact, and such anthropometric head data could improve helmet design and manufacturing significantly, should the leading brands take notice of the study's finding.
**NOTE: According to these data analyzed by the National Coalition of Motorcyclists, motorcycle registrations have increased 15.4% over the past five years, while fatalities decreased by 10.9% and the fatality rate declined 24.6%...why isn’t the news media reporting THESE facts?
Check out the most current statistics acquired by the National Coalition of Motorcyclists (NCOM) from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS), compared to motorcycle registration numbers found
A study carried out by the German Hohenstein Institute in Bönnigheim shows that motorcycle helmets could indeed be a lot safer if some other measurements would be taken into account, concluding that inner shell size alone is not enough for providing the best protec-
The Hohenstein Institute study narrowed the head shapes to 6 major categories, with an amazing width variance of 3.5 cm (1.37”), determining that one helmet size cannot possibly offer the best fit for all these head shapes, even provided the circumference is the same.
With the way the inner impact layer fits on the rider's head being one of the critical elements in shock absorption and Gdispersion, it's apparent that the same shape will create different pressure points on a motorcyclist's skull, leading to various outcomes in similar crash conditions.

MASTERLINK JULY 2013 JAYHAWKERS SEE THE LIGHT The Kansas legislature unanimously passed House Bill 2318 which allows a motorcycle’s headlamp to be wired with a headlamp modulation system, which must meet federal standards. The bill also allows certain types of lights on the sides of motorcycles, visible only from the side and not from the front or rear and to not protrude beyond or outside the body or wheel of the motorcycle. The side lights may emit white, amber, or red light without glare.
The legislation was signed into law on April 4, 2013 by Governor Sam Brownback and goes into effect July 1st.
RED-LIGHT CAMERA COMPANIES FIGHT LAWS AND RULINGS AGAINST TICKET CAMS
Purveyors of red-light cameras continue their quest to place cameras on every street corner in the nation, and one strategy is to put the hit on states that have traditionally been “protected” from cameras either through legislation or court ruling.
Redflex lobbyists recently swarmed over the Minnesota Statehouse pushing a bill to allow ticket cameras into the state. The bill was written to thwart a 2007 Minnesota Supreme Court ruling that Minneapolis’ red-light camera program was unconstitutional. The bill was defeated in committee, thanks in part to the efforts of ABATE of Minnesota and the National Motorists Association (NMA).
In Michigan, where a 2007 ruling from the state’s attorney general has been keeping cameras at bay, recently introduced camera legislation has turned Michigan into the latest photo enforcement battleground state. The NMA (www.motorists.org) warns that if you live in one of the 15 states that have taken steps to keep cameras out, stay alert. Chances are that a camera company lobbyist is cozying up to a friendly state lawmaker with a nice campaign donation and a pre-written camera bill that needs support.
HONDA & BMW EXPERIMENT WITH “AUTONOMOUS MOTORCYCLE”
Most connected vehicle technologies have focused squarely on the car, but BMW and Honda are working to develop autonomous driving technologies that
PAGE 9

work on two wheels. Both BMW and Honda have already added plenty of connectivity to their cars, but now the two automotive giants are working with the University of Michigan and Australian startup Cohda Wireless to put networking smarts into their motorcycles.
Adelaide-based Cohda designs radio systems and software that will not only link nearby vehicles on the road to each other, but also to the road itself. The idea behind its autonomous car technology is to create an ever-changing ad-hoc network of vehicles communicating their intentions and interacting with the infrastructure of the road.
Known as vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I), these technologies could help power self-driving cars of the future. The University of Michigan Transportation Institute (UMTRI) runs one of the key test-beds for that technology, and its lab is running an ongoing trial of 3,000 connected vehicles in Ann Arbor, Mich., which is where Honda and BMW will put their connected motorcycles through the paces, according to a report on GigaOM.com.
Motorcycles may not have much room on their instrument panels for the connected infotainment systems going into today’s cars, but they could definitely benefit from any technology that makes mounting a motorcycle safer, and one of the major goals of V2I and V2V efforts is to reduce accidents and improve safety on the road. Vehicles could make quicker and better driving decisions than drivers because they would be able to access more info from the networks around them and react to it nearly instantaneously (they’re also less easily distracted than human drivers). As for motorcycle applications, Cohda and UMTRI plan to test technologies that let bikes talk to traffic lights, roadside beacons and other cars, warning them of green lights about to turn red and dangerous curves ahead requiring them to slow down. By using a longrange secure form of Wi-Fi, a motorcycle could communicate with a car long before the drivers can see one another as they both approach a blind intersection.
vehicles for the Department of Defense.
CANADIAN INSURER TO TRACK MOTORCYCLIST BEHAVIOR WITH “TELEMATICS”
With an eye to calibrating insurance rates, Saskatchewan Government Insurance plans to use new technology to track how fast and how far motorcycles go. It's called telematics and someday could be used to help set insurance rates, among other things, but for now SGI is just trying the technology out with a pilot program.
It's looking for several hundred motorcycle users to volunteer to have their bikes equipped with telematics technology. The“black box”-type gadgets would record speed, braking, mileage and location. The volunteer riders would have weekly updates on their driving behavior, to show them what information SGI would be looking at. "Usage-based insurance is the ultimate in rating fairness because it essentially lets the driver control their own insurance rate through their driving behavior," said Donna Harpauer, the minister responsible for SGI. "Simply put, those who drive responsibly pay less and those who don't pay more." While no one's rates will be affected by the pilot program, the experiment is one of the ideas coming out of the Motorcycle Review Committee, a group formed in the wake of a storm of controversy after SGI had proposed boosting motorcycle rates an average of 73% to compensate for high injury claims.
Government-owned SGI later withdrew its proposal and came back with some milder proposed increases for motorbikes, including the telematics pilot program that could begin as early as this season.
POPE BLESSES HARLEYS& RIDERS Thousands of Harley riders from around the world were blessed by Pope Francis in St. Peter’s Square on Sunday, June 16 as one of the stops in a worldwide celebration of the famous motorcycle maker's 110th anniversary, which will roar across 11 countries before concluding in Milwaukee over Labor Day Weekend.
Choral music mixed with revving engines as the Holy Father blessed a sea of Harley-Davidson motorcycles and riders from all parts of the planet flocking to Italy over the weekend of June 13-16 to celebrate Harley-Davidson’s milestone, and earlier in the weekend festivities, the leader of the Roman Catholic Church was presented with two white classic Harley-Davidson motorcycles for use by Papal police and his own black leather jacket. JohnnyD and Kat go to Washington DC, 2013
MRF-Bikers Inside the Beltway 2013. Finally, I got to go. It was the 5th Annual and I had been trying to go since the first event started. I went with JohnnyD from ALMA MC who is the ACMC Designated Lobbyist. That was a great decision because JohnnyD KNOWS POLITICS AND PEOPLE!!! That was obvious.
Sadly, we took a plane and did not ride. But, looking at the bright side, we got there quicker and were able to have more time to walk the halls of the House and Senate of Washington DC. As honored and humbled as I felt, there was also an incredible feeling of excitement and nervousness mainly because “it’s Washington DC”. All I kept thinking was “holy crap” that was so and so or “unbelievable” I just was hugged by Congresswoman Ann Kirkpatrick (my first time meeting her).
Now JohnnyD, he was calm, collected, articulate and very, very good at getting time with whoever was in the offices. When I would get nervous, he would look at me and say, “They work for you”!! And by the afternoon, I was discussing “politics” and sharing our “struggles” with anyone who was in an office or stopped to shake our hands. As frustrated as it is when home with regard to how DC works (or doesn’t), it was very different when you are in the trenches and are being greeted with smiles and interested politicians who listen to your concerns and issues.
Most of the staff of these politicians is energized, helpful, knowledgeable and passionate about what they are doing. It truly is overwhelming and exciting at the same time. It got easier and easier to go to each Congressional District Office for
Arizona (9 of them) to discuss, handout, and share what we needed from them. Sometimes you could tell the information you were sharing wasn’t going very far, but it got done anyway. On our last day we went to the Senate Building of Senator Flake and McCain and were able to give their staff our handouts and newspapers.
Educating and informing those that talked to us was the mission and we accomplished that mission proudly. The most memorable part for me was having JohnnyD get us into the House gallery to watch one of his friends, Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema with whom he had helped in her campaign, give testimony and a statement regarding her position on the topic they were debating. Can I say, “WOW”????
PAGE 13
Then BEST part. Walking underground, in the tunnels of Washington DC, with an “aide” pushing through, passing “famous” Senators and Representatives who were stopping to say “hi”, smiling as they rushed by, some shaking your hand, and nodding their heads as we continued making our way to get to the meeting room where we shared a semi-private moment with Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema and Congressman Ron Barber. Talk about a “Kodak Moment” right?? And at that moment what I finally realized was, “They work for me”!!!! Enjoy the pictures taken by JohnnyD throughout our trip and think about next year trying to go to Washington DC for the MRF 6th Annual Bikers Inside the Beltway.

It was a hot, arid day, and there was not near enough shade. However, against the odds raffle tickets were sold, people came, run bags were given out, there were no incidents at the event, everyone had fun and everyone left with a big smile on their face.

Fuel, Alien Ant Farm and Lit Unite for Sturgis Buffalo Chip® 2013 Festival Grand Finale
Rock radio favorites Fuel, Alien Ant Farm, and Lit will unite to rock the final festival night of the Sturgis Buffalo Chip’s Largest Music Festival in Motorcycling™ Saturday August 10. The three platinum selling bands will round out nine days of unbelievable performances from artists including Kid Rock, The Doobie Brothers, The Cult, ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Toby Keith, Rob Zombie, Brantley Gilbert, Halestorm, Mastodon, Machine Head, Queensrÿche, Buckcherry, Pop Evil, Sublime with Rome and more to be announced soon. Concert entertainment begins on Aug. 2 and goes through Aug 10, 2013 during the Sturgis motorcycle rally. Information and campground admission passes are available at www.BuffaloChip.Com.
“The party ain’t over ‘til it’s over,” says Rod Woodruff, president of the Sturgis Buffalo Chip. “Throughout our nine day festival, fans are treated to an onslaught of high-energy performers, so why would the last night be any different? All of these bands, Fuel, Alien Ant Farm and Lit have a blast on stage and that energy is truly contagious. It’ll be a Grand Finale worth sticking around for.”
All three bands shot into stardom in the late ‘90s and early 2000s, producing fun and edgy modern rock hits and amassing platinum records. Songs such as Fuel’s “Hemorrhage (In My Hands),” Lit’s “My Own Worst Enemy” and Alien Ant Farm’s “Smooth Criminal” quickly made it into regular rotation on rock stations and remain there today. Combining these crowd favorites with revving motorcycles, Bikini Beaches, vendors and beer gardens should make Saturday night at the Buffalo Chip an energetic festival finale.
Campground admission passes for the 32nd annual Sturgis Buffalo Chip Motorcycle and Music Festival may be purchased for specific dates or for the entire festival, which runs July 29 through Aug 11, 2013. For more information and a schedule of Sturgis Buffalo Chip events, visit www.BuffaloChip.Com or call (605) 347-9000. Beads. The Weenie got nailed when newcomer Rebekah stepped up. Weenie Bite winners Royce and Rebekah! Great job!
The Bike show got started slow but each and every bike was totally unique. We were very, very proud to have such an amazing array of motorcycles. Butch Landry's newly painted sportster took home a trophy as did Cowboy's Chopper. However, it was the last minute bagger that caused a little rukus when he took home the trophy. Everyone was a winner.
The Wet T Shirt Contest was hosted by singer Royce from Voodoo Sex Cult and Taz with the American Legion Riders. It was a tough competition and the art of the wet tshirt contest was brought back to life. However, the winner for 2013 was Megan. See took home a $100.00 Gift card from Grand Canyon Harley

However, it was simply too hot. And for whatever reasons it did not really raise as many funds as we hoped for. It was a beautiful 3 years in Jerome. We are looking for a new location for Run to the Hills 4. We have some ideas and once we confirm the location we will announce the date. Without the folks who rode up or in, and all of our sponsors we simply would not have made it this year. So ABATE of AZ. Yavapai chapter hopes there is room in the paper to thank our sponsors. Klock Werks FLARE™ Windshields for Batwing Fairing
The patented FLARE™ Windshield was developed at Klock Werks out of a desire and need for greater stability in order to safely race at high speeds on the Bonneville Salt Flats. The FLARE™ is the ORIGINAL windshield of its kind, and has surprised riders everywhere with not only how great it looks, but also with how well it performs. In fact, its superior performance has made Klock Werks a leader in air-management. The innovative patented design features "hips" on the outer edges that re-route wind away from the rider while creating additional downforce on the front-end of the motorcycle. This results in a significant improvement in wind deflection and front-end stability at highway speeds over using a standard type windshield. The "flip" at the top of the FLARE™ is designed to reduce buffeting by kicking the wind up and allowing it to flow back as "clean", less turbulent air for the rider. Don't be fooled by imitations! The superior patented design and the highest quality materials are what make the Klock Werks FLARE™ Windshield an ORIGINAL. Please read the information below to help choose the right size for you: ============================ AMA board chair, U.S. lawmakers to speak at E15 Fuel for Thought Lobby Day in Washington, D.C.
American Motorcyclist Association Chair Maggie McNally and several U.S. lawmakers are scheduled to speak at the AMA E15 Fuel for Thought Lobby Day on Wednesday, June 19, at the nation's capital.
The AMA is inviting all motorcyclists to take part in the Washington, D.C., event to help educate lawmakers about the need to research the possible harmful effects of E15 fuel on motorcycle and all-terrain vehicle engines.
E15 is a gasoline formulation that contains up to 15 percent ethanol by volume. Although the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has approved its use in 2001-and-newer light-duty vehicles, which include cars, light-duty trucks and medium-duty passenger vehicles, none of the estimated 22 million motorcycles and
ATVs currently in use are on the EPA approved list, and no manufacturer has approved E15 for use in its motorcycles and ATVs. Furthermore, use of E15 may void manufacturers warranties.
"E15 fuel is one of the most important issues that faces motorcyclists today, and I am excited to address this issue at the AMA E15 Fuel For Thought Lobby Day," McNally said. "Motorcycling has been a part of my life since childhood. When I was told that girls don't ride bikes while I was in college, I immediately got my permit. I am now an accomplished rider and instructor. Motorcycling started as a challenge and it has remained one. "But the face of that challenge has changed. The challenge that I face now is the challenge all motorcyclists face, protecting the future of motorcycling and promoting the motorcycling lifestyle," McNally said. U.S. Rep. Tim Griffin (R-Ark.), who will also speak at the rally, said: "As the cochair of the Congressional Motorcycle Caucus, and as a rider, I recognize that there are many important issues affecting us. The AMA's Fuel For Thought initiative is raising critical awareness of the damage EPA-mandated E15 gasoline can do to motorcycle and ATV engines, and I look forward to taking part in this rally."
The lobby day will begin with a motorcycle ride around the U.S. Capitol, followed by a rally. Participants will then visit their congressional delegations' offices to ask for support for legislation that calls for new E15 research into the effects on motorcycles and ATVs.
All lobby day participants will receive a fuel gift card for one tank of gas (supply is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis) and gift bag. For more information about the E15 issue and to sign up for the AMA E15 lobby day, contact grassroots@ama-cycle.org. In addition to McNally and Griffin, other scheduled speakers include U.S. Reps. Jim Sensenbrenner (R-Wis.) Chris Stewart (R-Utah), Tom Petri (R-Wis.) and David Valadao (R-Calif.). Sensenbrenner noted: "We have a responsibility to ensure Americans operating gas-powered machines are not put at risk due to faulty fuel that has not been sufficiently examined. There have been several tests highlighting E15's harmful effects on engines and their components, but the
MASTERLINK JULY 2013 Gurley Street Sports Pub, Storm of Perception, Xhale Smokeshop and Convenience Store, Harley Painter.Com, Erin McManus Design, Square Peg Promotions, NCOM, The Drunken Lass and you... Special thanks to business member Don Robertson of the Gold King Mine and Ghost Town for donating the land to us so we could get this event started and bring together bikers in Yavapai County.
EPA has dismissed these findings. If E15 is in the marketplace, misfueling from residual gas is inevitable, and it will find its way into gas tanks.
"This is especially dangerous for small engines, such as those in motorcycles," Sensenbrenner added. "As a staunch supporter of motorcyclists and their rights, in February I introduced H.R. 875, which would require the EPA to stop the use of E15 until its harmful effects are investigated further."
Stewart said: "I am looking forward to participating in the AMA event on Capitol Hill. The use of E15 is an important issue currently being discussed in Congress. It's great to see Americans from all over the Country coming to Washington to have their voices heard. "As I noted in our Science Committee hearing a few months ago on this subject, the more E15 is studied, the more concerns are identified regarding potential widespread impacts on a variety of engines," Stewart added. "I think that more scientific testing is necessary before introducing this new fuel."
Valadao remarked: "The federal government has imposed mandates regarding our nation's fuel supply system without fully considering the negative ramifications such regulations would have on motorists and off-roaders alike. "Furthermore, these mandates have failed to first put in place proper safeguards to prevent misfueling and damage to motorcycles and other motor vehicles," Valadao added. "I believe the Environmental Protection Agency should suspend the E15 mandate until further study on E15's effects can be performed and protections against costly damage caused by E15 can be implemented.".
Tom Cox, president of the Antique Automobile Club of America who will also speak at the rally, said: "Between changes in gasoline formulation and motor oils, I think the EPA has early retirement in mind for our vehicles through those means rather than directly legislating them off the roads. Stopping E-15 is an extremely important initiative." The AMA also supports S. 344, introduced by U.S. Sens. Roger Wicker (RMiss.) and David Vitter (R-La.) which would overturn the EPA waivers that allow gasoline containing E15 to be used for certain passenger cars and light
MASTERLINK JULY 2013 trucks.
Supporters of the lobby day include EagleRider of Falls Church, Va.; Coleman PowerSports of Falls Church, Va., and Woodbridge, Va.; the National Turkey Federation; National Chicken Council; National Pork Producers Council; American Fuel and Petrochemical Manufacturers; Specialty Equipment Market Association; and the Antique Automobile Club of America. ===========================
World’s Fastest Man on a Motorcycle Acquires Rights to Houston Mile Top Speed Competition
Bill Warner, aka “Mr. 300,” owner of the Wild Brothers Motorsports motorcycle land speed racing team, has acquired the rights to the Houston Half Mile Shootout. Warner’s new company, National Mile Racing (NMR), will introduce a number of improvements for the popular Aero’s & Autos Half-Mile Shootout, in addition to introducing two new one-mile competitions at the current location.
The inaugural Houston Mile competition is scheduled for October 19 & 20, at Houston’s Ellington Airport. On-line registration will open August 18, and is limited to the first 150 registrants for both automobiles and motorcycles.
Warner and NMR bring a racer’s perspective to racing event management devoted to providing speed enthusiasts and fans with unforgettable top speed racing events in a fun and safe environment. Warner is the first and only racer to break the 300 mph barrier on a motorcycle and is known within racing circles as “Mr. 300.”
“I've been very fortunate on the track throughout my racing career, but the best part has been all the great people I’ve met along the way. I want to show my appreciation to them with events utilizing their suggestions and ideas, as well as mine,” said Warner. “I'm confident the new Houston Mile will reflect this collective input with memorable events for competitors, sponsors and fans," added Warner.
Local high performance specialists, Hennessey Performance (HPE), will present both the new Houston Mile events. “Hennessey Performance is proud to continue its association with the Houston Mile by agreeing to a long term sponsorship with NMR. We are confident Bill Warner and NMR will turn the Houston Mile into a premier speed event for Texas,” said Dave Golder, GM of HPE.
Ellington Airport is located 15 miles south of Houston, off the I-45/Gulf Freeway exit. For Houston Mile event details and registration information, visit www.HoustonMile.com ===========================
Zero MMX brings stealth electric motorcycle to US Special Forces
The crack of a rifle breaks the silence of the humid night. The four-strong, blackswathed team quickly mount their motorcycles and move off in the darkness toward the sound at breakneck speed. Invisible, almost silent, they quickly close the distance to the enemy. The element of surprise is on their side and justice is about to be meted out. While this scenario might sound like

something from the movies, it is now quite plausible. At least the quiet, fast motorcycling in the dark part, anyway. You see, working with the US Special Operations Forces, Zero Motorcycles has put together a machine that can provide super-stealthy mobility to soldiers in the field.
Based on its MX model, the Zero MMX has keyless operation, a military spec dash, switchable headlight and is prewired for infrared systems fore and aft. It's also able to ford through a meter (39.37 inches) of water and has a safety override and reserve power capabilities to help its rider get out of sticky situations. (Ok, we're not actually sure what safety override does, but it certainly sounds cool.)
Like the MX, the military model comes with battery pack swapping capability and all the power (54 horsepower, 68 lbfeet of torque) one is ever likely to need. It even retains its app-friendliness, allowing performance sculpting via Bluetooth. ============================

Motorcycle Education course helps bring safer riders to South Dakota
The Sioux Falls area has seen two motorcycle accidents over the past three days— one of which involved a non licensed driver.
Members of the South Dakota Safety Council say non-licensed drivers are over-represented in the number of motorcycle accidents that occur each year.
The first step in motorcycle safety is getting licensed and learning how to properly drive a bike; that's why the Safety Council offers motorcycle training classes every spring and summer.
"This is not an activity that everyone is suited for so we would encourage that before you go out and buy an expensive motor cycle, enroll in a basic course and let the professionals teach you," said Rick Kiley, Director of the SD Motorcycle Rider Education Program with the SD Safety Council.
"Its a great opportunity to find out if motorcycling is for you—by noon of the first day, you'll know if its for you or not," said Don Winckler, a long-time Motorcycle course instructor.
It's also a good refresher course for those who know their way around a motorcycle. "I've always been on motorcycles since I was 16,17 and I've always wanted to learn how to drive one, so here I am, 28 years old," said Jessica Reinhart, a student at Wednesday's Motorcycle educa-
tion class.
"The class entails 10 hours of on cycle training and 5 hours of classroom training…defensive driving techniques, proper gear to wear," said Kiley. South Dakota state law does not require adults to wear any kind of special safety gear to ride a motorcycle, but if a rider is prepared from head to toe, they're going to be a lot safer when it comes to an accident. "Number one, we always encourage wearing all gear all of the time—that includes, helmet, eye protection, jacket, long pants, and over the ankle boots," said Kiley.
The class will also go over the bike's safety features and how to be a defensive driver once you get out on the road.
"The mirrors should be adjusted so you can see the shoulders and the traffic and road behind you," said Kiley.
"We help students develop habits that keep them alive out there," said Winckler. "I think people are better car drivers after they've taken the course, because we talk about the risks of being out on the road and how to manage those risks."
After learning all of the proper safety precautions, riders will be prepared to enjoy the open road safely on their motorcycle. "I like the freedom of it, the wind in your hair," said Reinhart.
"Motorcycles are a great form of transportation mainly for the enjoyment factor you get out of it and it's also economical too as gas prices remain high and fluctuate," said Kiley.
While Kiley recommends everyone wear a helmet at all times, only minors are required to wear one in South Dakota. The same goes for Minnesota. In Iowa, no one is required to wear a helmet. ============================ Realities for Children Breaks a World Record for World’s Largest Poker Run
Realities For Children Charities hosted their 12th Annual Realities Ride & Rally on May 25th and 26th, 2013. This fundraiser for Larimer County children who have been abused or neglected raised over $120,000 and set a new Guinness World Record for World's Largest Motorcycle Poker Run.
On the morning of May 26th, nearly 3,000 motorcycle riders took off on The Realities Ride, a scenic poker run through Northern Colorado's landscape. 1,531 of them qualified for the Guinness World Record attempt and become World Record Riders. Organizers of the event are now sending all required evidence to the Guinness World Record offices in London, England where it will all be reviewed before the official title is granted. The previous record was 586 riders. Realities Ride & Rally is one of Colorado's largest attended fundraising events of the year. Over the course of the two day event, it is estimated that nearly 15,000 members of the Northern Colorado community joined the rally in Downtown Fort Collins to enjoy live music from over 30 local bands, as well as other activities, such as: Budweiser's Beer Gardens, Law Tiger's VIP Tent,

During the course of the weekend approximately $10,000 in giveaways were distributed, including: 3- 50" Flat Screen TV's courtesy of Walmart; the Tri-City Cycle $1500 Best Hand Cash Prize; the Newstalgia Customs $3500 Paint Job Giveaway and more.
Realities For Children is an alliance of local businesses working together to provide for the unmet needs of Larimer County children who have been abused or neglected. 100% of the donations they raised at this event will benefit the youth served by the organization, through a collaboration with 22 area non-profits all serving this population of children. Thursday May 16th, 2013 was the 4th annual Michael "Boz" Kerr Bikers Inside the Beltway event in Washington DC. The event, sponsored by the Motorcycle Riders Foundation, is a national lobby day where motorcyclists come to Capitol Hill, meet with their elected officials and brief them on all issues affecting motorcyclists at the federal level. This year’s event drew hundreds of motorcyclists from 22 States and riders met with almost 300 elected officials.
One of the top issues the attendees were lobbying for, was asking members of Congress to advance two bills. H.R. 1861which is a bill to prohibit Federal funding of "motorcycle only" roadside checkpoints and also H.R. 875, a bill that would halt the sale of E-15 fuel and conduct an independent study on the effects of the blend on internal combustion engines.
During the Congressional Panel portion of the day, the group of riders gathered in a Longworth House building congressional meeting room to hear from a select group

of Members of Congress. Addressing the group was Congressmen Griffin (R-AR), the Motorcycle Safety Caucus Co Chair, Representative Jeff Denham (R-CA) and the House of Representatives Highway Subcommittee Chairman and longtime MRF Champion, Tom Petri (R-WI).
Representative Petri had this to say, "I commend you for being citizen lobbyists, we appreciate you being here in D.C., we take advantage of these visits, I support your call for reliance on personal responsibility-not mandates, and your call for Federal agencies to concentrate on their mission and live up to the their responsibility." Thanks to all who attended and to those who helped support those who attended. This year was a tremendous success. Photos from the event can be found at www.MRF.org

13NR23 - MRF News Release - Privacy Problems & Congressional Motorcycle Caucus FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 30 May 2013
Contact:Jeff Hennie, Vice President of Government Relations and Public Affairs Privacy Problems & Congressional Motorcycle Caucus
Privacy Problems The Motorcycle Riders Foundation reports that Representatives Michael Capuano (D-MA) and James Sensenbrenner (R-WI) are working together to protect your right to privacy while operating a motor vehicle.
Please contact your member of congress and ask them to co-sponsor the Sensenbrenner / Capuano Black Box Privacy Protection Act.

MASTERLINK JULY 2013 Congressional Motorcycle Caucus The House of Representatives has reformed the U.S. Currently the newly formed caucus has thirteen members: Braley (IA) Griffin (AR) Burgess (TX) Butterfield (NC) Conway (TX) Denham (CA) Duncan (TN) Forbes (VA) Jones (NC) Walberg (MI) Walz (MN)
Call your member of congress and ask them to join this important group, as it is open to the entire House of Representatives. The MRF looks forward to continuing to work with the motorcycle caucus.
MASTERLINK JULY 2013
July Safety Article Rider Skill Training- According to the NHTSA, motorcyclists are 25 times more likely to die on the road than those in passenger cars. Given this, motorcyclists should be sure they know how to ride as safely as possible. Take a course!
Jean Cooper State Safety Officer
It’s July in the Valley of the Sun and the heat has baked my brain already. I have been stuck trying to think of a new and interesting safety topic. Nothing new has popped into my head, so let’s review. We have talked about:
Happy July all! Well it’s another warm day here in the valley! For those of you enjoying the cooler weather, I envy you! I hope you are enjoying it as much as you can.
Dehydration – Beer and coffee don’t count. Drink water. A wise person once said to me, “the best place to carry your water is in your stomach.” When you feel thirsty, it’s too late. Drink at least 16 ounces of water before you get on the bike. Wind and heat will just suck the water out of you, so tank yourself with water every time you stop for gas, as well as any other time you stop.
Remember, that ABATE stands for EDUCATE. Our purpose is to spread the word about safe motorcycling and promote a positive image of motorcyclists. What better way than to speak to the future drivers of our state. The students hopefully, will not only be better equipped car and truck drivers but will also be more aware and watch out for us.
To become an instructor you must:
1. Be available during the day: The presentations in the high school driver’s education classes last about an hour during the school day. There may be as many as 5 classes in one day.
2. Be willing to stand up in front of a group of about 30 high school students and speak: That sounds easier than you think. You need to be able to gently maintain control of the group.
3. Know the material being presented: There is an outline for all presenters to follow so there is uniformity in
Check the weather and gear up appropriately.
Health concerns – be sure you had a proper meal before you start out. It takes energy to ride a motorcycle. If you take medication for a condition, be sure you have enough for the time you will be out. Let those you are riding with, what and where you medication is, in case you need it and can’t get to it.
Wear the proper gear and consider the weather. [this may look like it, but it’s not a repeat]
Constantly observe your surroundings – motorcycles are not as easy to see and judge speed as cars and trucks. You cannot control the environment or driv-
Charity Has Something to Say!
To make life a little easier, and high hopes to boost participation in ABATE. The state officers have approved funds to buy an internet TV, for the use of Skype! This is a very user friendly program that works similar to a conference call. If you’re new to technology there is nothing to keep you from using this. This application can be used on your computer, phone or other portable device. It’s a full screen program that has step by step instructions and understandable icons. ABATE members all around the state are an asset and have many of the same community issues that Phoenix has or more even. Those issues are just as important to our organization and we value all input. We want you to join us, even if you are unable to
Call for MAP Instructors
The Motorcycle Awareness Program (M.A.P.) is an educational program aimed at the target audience of high school students in driver’s education classes. There has been a small group of instructors who have volunteered to present the M.A.P. to students throughout the state. But, we need more instructors.
Bike checks – get into the habit of checking you bike before you start out. Use the T-clocs method: tires, controls, lights, oil, chassis, stand to make sure you all the important parts of the bike. Regular maintenance is a must.
the material presented.
4. Commit to teaching at least 2 classes per school year: We hope to have at least one volunteer instructor in each ABATE Chapter. That person will attend and instructor class (about 4 hours), attend a M.A.P. with an experienced instructor, teach a class with an experienced instructor in attendance. When the new instructor is comfortable and the experienced instructor assesses him/her to be ready the new instructor may begin teaching alone. The mentor program assures that everyone is teaching the same material and everyone has support.
5. Provide record of teaching to the M.A.P. Coordinator on a consistent basis.
This is your opportunity to get the word out to new drivers about the importance of sharing the road with motorcyclists. This is your opportunity to support the mission and vision of ABATE in your community. Call me 602-616-9855 or email me azjkc@aol.com for more information and to register to become a M.A.P. Instructor. Jean Cooper ABATE State Safety Officer ABATE M.A.P. Coordinator

mention Harley by name, it’s clear who Polaris is aiming for.
The top half of the ad depicts a black and white photograph of a motorcycle with the word, “Hobby.” The bottom half is a color photo of an Indian Motorcycle with the word, “Passion.” The tagline: “Choice is coming to American motorcycles.”
That ad follows earlier efforts to generate buzz, including a teaser sound byte of the bike’s engine released last December and hiring Mike Wolfe, host of History Channel’s American Pickers, as a spokesman, according to Bloomberg.
“We know that Polaris is really talking up their plan and expectation for the Indian brand and that they’re gunning for us,” said Harley-Davidson spokeswoman Maripat Blankenheim. “We always take our competitors seriously. It’s just good business to do that.”
But Polaris has to make up a lot of ground. Last year Harley-Davidson’s primary competitors in the heavyweight motorcycle segment had an average market share of just 5 percent, Blankenheim said. The largest had less than an 8 percent share.
Polaris has less than 5 percent market share, Bloomberg reported. The company, perhaps better known for its snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles, debuted its Victory motorcycle line 15 years ago. “We also know Polaris invested a lot in motorcycles for 15 years,” Blankenheim said. “And they still have a market share in the low single digits.” Polaris, based in Minnesota, assembles engines for the Indian at its plant in Osceola, in northwestern Wisconsin. ============================ NEVADA GUN CONTROL ACTION ALERT!!!

ATTENTION - ALL RIDERS: =======================
It has come to our attention that business establishments in Arizona may still be discriminating against motorcyclists. Please carry copies of this form with you at all times. Discrimination can range from a sign stating "No Colors" or "No Motorcycle Parking" or "No Motorcycle Attire" etc., to simply being asked to leave a place of business, just because you are on a motorcycle or because of your riding apparel. If anything like this happens to you, PLEASE fill out this form in its entirety and send it to the address noted. Your lobbyists cannot get sponsorship for "equal access" legislation, without evidence of this type of discrimination. Documentation of Discrimination DATE: ______________
