Flagler College recently began a series of massive improvements to its athletics programs. The Men’s Soccer Program is receiving its first locker room and athletics facility. A new look was needed to help the college give a face to all the change going on behind the scenes.

Nimbus Pattern Company creates very colorful patterns that can seem too loud or a bit off putting to the average interior decorator. They needed a catalog that would convince buyers just how well these patterns would set them apart from the competition.

The solution was to use modern, fashionable home settings and make them look inviting when decorated with Nimbus patterns. Luxurious photographs taken by Room and Board (one of the most prominent furniture companies in the nation) were modified and as to how they would look if the settings had been decorated with Nimbus patterns.

They needed a guide book participants would be excited about reading.

PARIS RECYCLING GUIDE

Paris is famous for fashion. The guide book was designed to be as colorful as the city itself. Using very dynamic text and a large range of colors from the Pantone Fall 2010 Fashion Color Libraries a guide book was created that would be a feast for young eyes. Something they would read often and cherish as a memento of their trip.

Gregg Berrymanâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s notes on graphic design is high on theory but low on actual application. A revamp was needed to make the bookâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s design as interesting as the information in it.

NOTES ON DESIGN REVAMP PUBLICATION

A design with a strong sense of grid and the primary printing colors, CMYK, were used to make the look of the book convey basic design principles. Thus the 1930s German industrial font DIN is prominently used.

Makuchi, an author from Cameroon in West Africa , recently had both of her fiction books enter their second printing. Due to increased demand they were now available in hard back for the first time and new jacket designs were needed.

MAKUCHI BOOK JACKETS PACKAGING

Makuchiâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s books center heavily on her homeland. Elegant photos of the places featured in her short stories are used on the cover to remind the reader of where they are going when they read her stories. A kente cloth design is also used to give the jacket a uniquely West African feel.
