Knife crime has become a part of modern day western society, murder is occuring daily on the streets of Britain and as a society we are becoming desensitised to such violence. Knife crime is on the increase in the UK and many incidents are happening a lot closer to home than first realised. ‘Witnesses’ examines what happens after the police tape is gone; with all images taken at sites of fatal stabbings, we see how life continues as normal no with very little recollection of - or tribute to the horrors that have occured on the ground that the subjects tread. This book is a small reminder of the lives lost, and forgotten, in a society that appears to no longer notice.
