Covid-19? Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus. Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Older people, and those with underlying medical problems are more likely to develop serious illness.

The COVID-19 virus spreads primarily through
droplets of saliva or discharge from the nose when an infected person coughs or sneezes, so it’s important that you practice respiratory etiquette. Protect yourself and others from infection by washing your hands or using an alcohol based rub frequently and not touching your face. Social distancing helps slow the spread of the virus, so maintaining at least 1 metre (3 feet) distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing will prevent transmission.

How we can combat our mental, emotional, & physical needs: combating our needs -Take breaks from watching, reading, or listening to news stories, including social media. Hearing about the pandemic repeatedly can be upsetting. -take care of your body. -take deep breaths, stretch, or meditate -Try to eat healthy, well-balanced meals. -Exercise regularly, get plenty of sleep. -Avoid alcohol and drugs -Make time to unwind. Try to do some other activities you enjoy. Connect with others!
