[ LIGHT ON ] Since ancient times, people have physical fear of "deep night and darkness", so we have the saying "work at sunrise and rest at sunset." However, after industrialization, electric power changed this humanistic structure, and people began to have nightlifes, businesses that were not closed all day , and people who worked or engaged in activities late at night. People who are active at night have to rely on street lights, car lights, indoor lights... etc., but for people, the light source at night is unstable and the contrast between light and dark in different areas is obvious. What if the human body itself is the light source and can balance the ambient light? Practical Testing ambient light

Based on people’s fear of the night, a self-luminous device is created that can detect ambient light and generate different light intensities.

Using the concept of a mermaid as a reference in the case of the shell, I used acrylic to shape the water flow, and used its reflective properties to create the feeling of water refraction.

The internal material uses a non-slip pad as the base for placing the device and the light bar. The cotton is used to saturate the light, and it is fixed and stitched with gold and silver threads.

[ The combination of wood tenon and structure ] The two original casestudies are the self-supporting double-layer board structure and the Japanese traditional improved hell structure. Using their respective advantages, the plate structure and the column structure are combined to meet the needs of structure and cladding. Use a certain sequence and a certain angle to fix the wood.

In the future, we hope this tenon unit can be used to make infinite connections in all dimensions to complete larger-scale works.
