Client: Sharp & Best Western Brief: This was a live brief set by Sharp Agency for their client Best Western hotels. The aims and outcome for the project was to make Gen Y want to stay in a Best Western hotel. After researching and exploring trend reports, surveys and competitors I decided to develop an Eco concept that I pitched to the clients. Within the Eco concept I explored and developed a series of posters that advertised the new Eco hubs within hotels and the new loyalty card.
Client: Blackpool Sixth Form Brief: This is just some of the work that I have produced during my work placement at Blackpool Sixth. Whilst being there I feel that I have had a hands on experience learning about marketing and design. I have been involved in everything from campaign work, social media, web design, filming and everything in between. Not only have I contributed on a surface level but some ideas I have put forward have had a direct impact on the work that we do there.

Project: Batiste Brief: The brief was to produce four new graphic identities and fragrances. The final outcomes had to include 4 bottle designs for the 3 different sized bottles, a web page and point of sale design. After researching and looking at trends I was quickly inspired by the story telling idea and produced a concept board followed by a number of inspirations boards including typography, packaging and POS. This Brief was a particular challenge to me as I wasn’t very experienced in Illustrator but soon learnt as I produced pattern and icons that I later applied to the bottles.

Tribal prints move forward, introducing colourful hues within prints and hardware, maintaining traditional roots while introducing seasonal brights. Animal prints, Aztec references and tribal etchings are key.

Brief: This brief was to take a previous project about infographics and develop it into a physical representation. In this project I learnt that it is ok to change ideas if your first one doesn’t work. After a few weeks of researching into a ‘de-bucket list’ I realised I didn’t have the resources to carry on and changed the direction to producing a pack of top trump cards. Within this project I produced my own type and learnt a lot about illustrator and producing Icons. At the end of the project a lot of time and effort went into cutting out the cards individually and sticking them back to back, this was well worth the task as I ended up with a great set of cards for the final piece.

Project: A2 Level Exam Brief: The brief was to produce a number of graphic products that would promote the awareness of Global Warming. In order to achieve these final images I went through various research stages looking at existing campaigns, the target audience and artistic influences. This project is one of my personal favorites as I truly pushed the artwork to the limits through the use of various techniques. Starting out on Photoshop and then mix media to distress the images I had created. As a final push after much experimentation I photographed some of the images in a fish tank to make it appear underwater.
Project: A2 Level Coursework Brief: The brief for this project was to brand and advertise a new soft drink. Once again I started off by researching many different areas from advertising logos to the different flavours of drink. What I believe made this project such a success was the use of good photography and both mixed media and digital experimentation. Once I had some images and materials to work with I developed and adapted the design to suit many different products. These included posters, place mats, bottle labels, glasses and packaging.
