3M achieved 51.9% renewable energy across our global operations – two years ahead of our original 2025 timeline to achieve 50% renewable energy

3M reduced our use of virgin fossil-based plastic by 542 million pounds since 2021 and further affirmed our commitment to plastics reduction by endorsing the Business Coalition for a Global Plastics Treaty.

3M made strong progress toward goals we set in 2021, including water usage reduction of 168% and a 378% reduction of our Scope 1 & 2 location-based GHG emissions since 2019 – well on our way to our 50% reduction goal by 2030

The United States and the United Arab Emirates signed a major new clean energy framework on November 1, 2022 in Abu Dhabi.

The United States and United Arab Emirates announced a robust partnership to ensure the swift and smooth transition toward clean energy and away from unabated fossil fuels. The US-UAE Partnership for Accelerating Clean Energy (PACE) is set to catalyze $100 billion in the financing, investment, and other support and to deploy globally 100 gigawatts of clean energy by 2035 to advance the energy transition and maximize climate benefits.
