Message from the Chief Executive Officer
REMARKABLY DYNAMIC AND EVENTFUL
As we reflect on the second quarter of 2024, it's clear that this period has been remarkably dynamic and eventful for AmCham Dubai We’ve navigated unprecedented challenges and celebrated significant milestones while fostering stronger ties and advancing American business interests in the region.
One of the highlights of this quarter was hosting the 12th Annual AmCham MENA Regional Conference in Dubai, under the theme "One Region, One Voice." Despite facing an extraordinary weather event that added complexity and stress to the preparations, the conference succeeded
A huge thanks to those who braved the weather and travel to be there. It served as a vibrant platform where leaders, experts, and industry stakeholders from 11 nations across the MENA region gathered to address the multifaceted challenges and opportunities shaping our regional business landscape. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to AmCham Egypt and the Secretariat for their unwavering support in making this conference a reality
Our health sector also achieved remarkable milestones this quarter. We hosted a women-led majlis under the theme "Leading with Resilience: Empowering Leaders in the Modern Era," supported by MSD and our health sector committee chairs Additionally, our health sector delegation made a significant impact at the Bio International Conference in San Diego, with substantial representation from the UAE. It was a fruitful visit, during which I had the privilege of meeting with leaders from the UAE and witnessing the formation of crucial partnerships and meetings
Another noteworthy event was our delegation's visit to Ras Al Khaimah on May 14th, where we had the honor of meeting His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi at the Royal Palace Accompanied by the U S mission to the UAE, we participated in a luncheon joined by His Excellency Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other business leaders from the emirate.. The discussions focused on future projects and reinforced the strong ties and innovative collaboration between the U S and the UAE, with a particular emphasis on how American innovation is shaping the future of Ras Al Khaimah
Our committee work across all sectors continues to be highly productive. We maintain our quarterly committee updates, where our committee chairs provide overviews of their activities We look forward to our AmCham members continuing to engage actively, and we encourage you to reach out if you wish to get involved
In summary, Q2 has been an incredibly busy and productive quarter for AmCham Dubai, marked by significant events and achievements that have strengthened American business in the region We look forward to continuing this momentum and achieving even greater milestones in the future.
As is the nature of the roles of the U.S. mission to the UAE, we must bid farewell to U.S. Consul General Meghan Gregonis. It is her time to depart, but not without us expressing our deepest gratitude for her amazing support and commitment to AmCham Dubai.
Recently, we had the honor of presenting her with a leadership award for her historic role as the first female U.S. Consul General in Dubai.

Request your ballot. Complete a new Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) You must complete a new FPCA after January 1, 2024, to ensure you receive your ballot for the 2024 elections Submitting the FPCA allows you to request absentee ballots for all elections for federal offices (President, U.S. Senate, and U.S. House of Representatives) including primaries and special elections during the calendar year in which it is submitted. All local election officials in all U.S. states and territories accept the FPCA.
You can complete the FPCA online at FVAP gov The online voting assistant will ask you questions specific to your state We encourage you to request your blank ballots be delivered electronically (by email, internet download, or fax, depending on your state). Include your email address on your FPCA to take advantage of the electronic ballot delivery option. Return the FPCA per the instructions on the website. The online voting assistant will tell you if your state allows the FPCA to be returned electronically or if you must submit a paper copy with original ink signature If you must return a paper version, please follow the same instructions below for returning your ballot.
