Mike was going to marry Lil. Alan was showing Mike how to jive. It was not going well.
“You will be fine,” said Alan, but he was starting to worry. Mike had two left feet and they were very wide.
“Kick, turn, spin to the side,” said Alan. But Mike’s spin went a bit too far and he spun into the bike in his shed.
“Kick, turn, back, three, four, five,” said Alan. But Mike went so far back, he fell over a wire into a pile of slime. He had to wipe the slime off his fur with a white kite that was in the shed.
“Kick, turn, spin, twist,” said Alan.
But Mike’s twist went so far around that he stood on a pike.
“Come on, Mike, we will try one last time,” said Alan, with a smile.
“Kick,
turn, glide,” said Alan. But Mike did not glide. He made a dive into the chair.
The lamp fell off and started a small fire.
“I am not good at this! I will have to hide when it is time for a jive. I could trip my bride,” said Mike. But Alan had a plan...
When he was nine, he got stung by a bee and he had to hop and skip and spin and kick because it hurt a lot.
Alan had seen a hive on the way in so he went outside.
“Bee, will you bite Mike? This will help him to jive,” said Alan.
So, the bee bit Mike on the arm.
“Yikes!” said Mike, and he had to hop and skip and spin and kick.
“That is it, Mike! Now you have it!” said Alan.
When the day of the wedding came it was Mikes time to shine. He was so good he could have won a prize! His wife was full of pride
He could jive for the rest of his life. He just had to think about the time he was stung by a bee.
His wife calls him Mike Jive!
