We are Bríd O’Rourke and Deníse O’Connor, Irísh prímary school teachers and authors of the BíDee Phonícs seríes.
BíDee Phonícs are fully decodable readers whích follow a structured scope and sequence, each one íntroducíng new sounds as well as revísíng prevíous sounds.
Wíth over 15 years of experíence ín early chíldhood educatíon, we developed BíDee Phonícs because we found ít díff ícult to source readers whích were both decodable readers and had engagíng storíes.
BíDee Phonícs ínclude bríght, eye-catchíng íllustratíons by the talented Phílíp Cullen. He captures the quírkíness of the characters whíle also tellíng the story through hís íllustratíons.
