If you are planning on moving schools this year, May is a good time to start getting your application ready.

The ethos of the school is extremely important so be clear on the ethos and how you will contribute to this in the school.

Use a ‘give me 5’ approach – choose 5 things that you have to offer to schools. What are the 5 things that make me stand out? Use these as a focus point in your letter of application, your application and in an interview.

Tips

Brainstorms or mind maps are a fantastic way for the children to show their learning. They could use one colour to show their prior knowledge and then a new colour after they’ve learned a new topic. This can be used for every subject!
