LETTER FROM LCP 15-16 Dear young leader, My name is Abdurahmon and I – from the bottom of my heart – wish I could put into words the feelings that I have as I am releasing the application for the President of AIESEC Khujand, for the term 2016-2017. Almost a year ago, I was standing right where you are, asking myself thousand times, am I ready for this? Should I do this? Should I and open a new Local Committee? I did it, I opened a new startup and created a team, who is running AIESEC in Khujand and now I can say that this was the best year of my life, so far. Being LCP of AIESEC Khujand is being as CEO of the company, it’s one of the most challenging, life-changing self-discovering experiences that a young person can ask for. I learnt in a year lessens that couldn’t learn for years, that changed me for good. But before you go on this journey of yours, I want to share my learning, maybe the most profound one. Leadership is about yourself and it’s for others. A true leader is a giver, not a taker. Great journeys are standing in front of the ones that understand that roles like this is designed and given to you by people with all their trust, because they expect you to make decisions, that they can not, to transcend your own, personal ambition and dedicate your year to the universe. To become a better me for a better us. As much as your success will be guided by the capacity to improve yourself, I urge you to close this application booklet if you are planning to do it only for yourself. I challenge you to think big, but act small and I wish you the experience of leadership. 3
GENERAL INFORMATION Term and Transition • The LCP term in Khujand starts 1st of July
2016 and ends 30th of June 2017 • Physical Transition starts on 1st of June 2016 • Individual transition starts immediately after
LCP election Travel costs and fees for national conferences and team days are fully covered for the LCP. Travel costs and fees for international conferences and meetings which include, but not limited IC 2016 in Poland are covered within a budget limit. Internal travels in Tajikistan for work purposes are covered within a budget limit. 4

JOB DESCRIPTION Local Committee President The LCP is overall responsible for AIESEC Khujand’s organizational performance and development through management of the EB team in order to fulfill LC’s primary role of enabling members to perform core work while ensuring sustainable development and growth. Additionally, the LCP is responsible to lead, manage and track EBs for them to be able to reach their EB plans. Lastly, the LCP is a legal representative of AIESEC Khujand towards Tajik laws. The most important stakeholders of the LCP include: MC team, EB team, National Plenary (if MC holds), National meeting, Tajik Authorities. LC and Entity Strategic Plan •
Vision and direction setting of AIESEC Khujand

Manage a clear and effective LC planning process and follow up

Build and implement tracking, review and evaluation on the LC plan

Support on budgeting and financial decision making
Governance •
Ensure proper management and follow-up of quarterly Board of Directors meetings (national meeting in Dushanbe)

APPLICATION AND ELECTION PROCESS Application deadline: 15th of January 2016, 23:59 -GMT +5 Election: 16th-17th of January 2016, during LC Meeting The election process will consist of: 1. Speech of 5 minutes 2. Question and Answers session 30 minutes 3. Final Speech of maximum 3 minutes
Announcement of the election will be made on the evening of the elections. LCP applications are open for to Tajik and International Candidates. Physical Presence at the election is mandatory, according to AIESEC in Tajikistan Compendium. The whole application package should be sent as an attachment to abdurahmon.abdurashidov@aiesec.net and abdurahmon.abdurashidov@aiesec.tj 9
APPLICATION REQUIREMENT A valid application includes the following elements: 1. Your CV - CV should include all relevant background and results achieved both inside and outside of AIESEC. It also needs to include your contact information and date of birth. 2. Endorsement letter- at least one letter from someone who has been your leader or worked with. 3. LCP Questionnaire 4. For international candidates: Please provide the national plenary with one extra PDF file (1 page) explaining the requirements and timeline to get a year - long visa in Tajikistan. • Submit your application to Abdurahmon.Abdurashidov@aiesec.net and Abdurahmon.Abdurashidov@aiesec.tj • The documents should be in PDF-format.
