As we look ahead to a year of new adventures to come, I am excited to share a preview of our 2024–25 Luxury Expedition Cruises, and particularly thrilled to announce our first expedition to a frontier like no other — the North Pole.

On the inaugural departure of our North Pole Expedition Cruise: The Ultimate Frontier, we will sail aboard the innovative luxury icebreaker ‘Le Commandant Charcot’ with A&K’s awardwinning Expedition Team leading the way to the northernmost point of our planet. For accomplished travellers who have seen and done it all, this ultimate expedition is sure to rekindle a passion for discovery.

We have also added Cruising Greece, Turkey & Saudi Arabia and South Pacific Cruise: Papua New Guinea & Solomon Islands, two new expeditions exploring a crossroads of ancient civilisations, as well as a paradise of pristine reefs and beaches secluded well off the beaten path. We choose ideal luxury expedition small ships, and then limit the number of guests to 80 percent of capacity — from 148 to 199 guests depending on the vessel, and never more. Our experts zero in on the most advanced small expedition ships, each with a private-yacht-like ambiance, selecting only those ideally suited for the regions we explore. This includes sleek ‘Le Bougainville’ in the Mediterranean and commanding ‘Le Lyrial’ for ice-cloaked Antarctica. Defined by strength and style, these purpose-built ships feature everything you’d expect on a luxury A&K cruise, including a convenient marina, ample deck space, a panoramic fitness room, elegant spa and cutting-edge technology.

A Private Balcony with Every Stateroom and Suite

Limiting guest capacity on our voyages enables us to offer premium accommodations for every guest — either a stateroom or suite that is always outfitted with a private balcony, a feature available exclusively on A&K charters. Smart design and elegant comforts define these accommodations, which feature a choice of a king-size bed, two single beds or two-room suites that can sleep up to four — perfect for a family. Limiting guest capacity to 80 percent of the ships’ maximum capacity also affords even more attentive service, as well as ample space and room to comfortably spread out and enjoy the onboard restaurants, lounges, theatre and outside decks.

Prioritizing the Latest Health and Safety Guidelines

On board, the staff and crew undertake strict health and safety protocols that reflect best practices for cleanliness and disinfection. These include guidelines established by the World Health Organization (WHO), Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) and other organisations promoting higher standards. In addition to rigorous cleaning on board — as well as stringent management of air circulation — lounge areas and dining rooms have been reconfigured to increase physical distancing.
