THE HOMESMAN - UNFORTUNATELY THE RELEASE DATE HAS CHANGED FROM PREVIOUSLY ADVERTISED

Jack to a King – The Swansea Story (Marc Evans, UK 2014, 98mins) Marc Evans (Hinterland, Patagonia) directs this documentary about how a ‘rag tag’ band of builders, housewives, teachers and travel agents came together to save their beloved football club and ended up turning their city into a worldwide brand. A film about belief, loyalty, power and how some people like to put Vodka on their Weetabix.

31st Oct - 2nd Nov

Boxtrolls 3D & 2D (Graham Annable, Anthony Stacchi, USA 2014, 97mins) Family animation following an orphaned boy raised by underground rubbish-collecting creatures, who enlists his odd friends to save the town.

Abertoir Presents: Street Trash (on 35mm!) (Jim Muro, USA 1987, 101mins) This highly enjoyable, outrageously gory 80s schlock follows a liquor store owner who finds mysterious bottles of booze, and sells them for $1 each to the local homeless. One small problem, they cause the drinkers to melt, very messily! All the ingredients are here for the proper grindhouse experience: gangsters, crazy ex-Vietnam vets, humour and buckets of gore! Screening from an original 35mm print!

2nd & 5th Nov

A heartwarming and moving Oscar-nominated film.

3rd, 5th- 8th Nov

Maps to the Stars (David Cronenberg, USA 2014, 112mins) Mia Wasikowska stars as a timid yet disturbed out-of-towner who gradually infiltrates the selfobsessed lifestyle of the Hollywood elite with dangerous consequences.
