A film about belief, loyalty, power and how some people like to put Vodka on their Weetabix.

Abertoir Presents: Street Trash (on 35mm!) (Jim Muro, USA 1987, 101mins) This highly enjoyable, outrageously gory 80s schlock follows a liquor store owner who finds mysterious bottles of booze, and sells them for $1 each to the local homeless. One small problem, they cause the drinkers to melt, very messily! All the ingredients are here for the proper grindhouse experience: gangsters, crazy ex-Vietnam vets, humour and buckets of gore! Screening from an original 35mm print!

Joyeux Noel (Christian Carion, France 2005, 113mins, subtitled) As the winter of 1914 sets in and the opposing forces of WW1 face each other in the trenches, this remarkable true story tells of the impromptu truce between the soldiers that saw them temporarily abandon their arms and put their differences aside. A heartwarming and moving Oscar-nominated film.
