BUILDING OCCUPANTS CONTRIBUTION OR PARTICIPATION TOWARDS REGENERATIVE ENVIRONMENT

• New ways for creating the alignment between values, ethics and actions • Promote community participation in a collective learning of peers and colleagues who share the same idea of innovative work for a healthier world

ARCHITECT DESIGNER CREATE A REGENERATIVE HABITAT FOR USER TO PERFORM ACTIVITIES

• Ability to assess design • and development for the utmost regenerative potential • Strategies for growing a • successful regenerative practice.

DEVELOPER GENERATE A PROPER BRIEF WHICH IS ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIVE

Manage needs for an increasing capacity in loop so as to deliver better quality of life to the clients Understand regenerative development as a basis for community upliftment, for a better world

Current Scenario • Is built without consideration and sensitivity to culture, tradition, micro/macro climate

ENVIRONMENT SITE

• Does not support growth of the natural environment • Exploits natural resources to convert them into building material MATERIAL

ENERGY

• Is built from materials that are toxic to environment and human health • supports fossil fueled power generation during constructionoperation-demolition • Generates immense unusable waste upon demolition

ECONOMY

• Built to maximize profit for the developer • Supports fast, low-quality work with fewer people

EQUITY

• Pays no heed to social equity and community upliftment

Current Scenario

• Addresses the site – climatic and socio-cultural aspects

ENVIRONMENT SITE

• Protects and enriches soil, water and air • Sustains and improves biodiversity of the area • Uses materials that are toxic-free

MATERIAL

• Easily disassembled • Produces more energy than consumed

ENERGY • Encourages use of renewable energy • Is adaptable to change ECONOMY

• Generates revenue • Ensures economic sustainability

EQUITY

• Enhances community engagement and equal opportunities for all

THE IDEAL SITUATION “ Imagine a building, enmeshed in the landscape, that harvests the energy of the sun, sequesters carbon and makes oxygen. Imagine onsite wetlands and botanical gardens recovering nutrients from circulating water. Fresh water, flowering plants and daylight everywhere. Beauty and comfort for every inhabitant. A roof covered in soil and sedum to absorb the building’s verdant footprint. In short, a life-support system in harmony with energy flows, human souls and other living things. Hardly a machine at all”
