Hello and welcome to my blog! My name is Amanda and I am looking forward to sharing my ideas with a range of readers. My project is about helping you become the best version of yourself and achieving all that you want to in this life.
I will help you learn the importance of feeding your prefrontal cortex with positive mindsets and how to reprogram your brain. I will be exploring meditation, effective ways to affirm your inner strength, how to know your worth and how in the end just by becoming a more loving and compassionate person, you among the others who awaken, can change the world. The secret to being the best version of yourself is through positivity.
I will be presenting scientific evidence of this and ‘The Power of Reprogramming your brain’ is psychology combined with philosophy. The reason why I want to develop my project with this subject is to solve the problem of negative thinking because no one does. Have you ever had a lesson of resilience, gratitude and mindfulness in school? Maybe, but in most cases it is rare and it is not on the school's curriculum. I want to keep adolescents informed and awake. I want teenagers to set aside time to learn about all this and spread positivity with others.
This is my platform I created to write and speak about the power of thought and creation through the mind.

1--- What is mindfulness? Mindfulness is the state of being present in the moment and appreciating the NOW. It promotes a sense of security, confidence, tranquillity, joy and peace within oneself. Ever since I've started truly appreciating my life and living by Buddha's quote 'except nothing,
appreciate everything', I have felt so much more satisfied and content with myself, my friends/family and lifestyle. Mindfulness allows me to be connected to myself and stay authentic and to prioritise myself, and let go of anxiety. For my research, I read a book called ‘Mindfulness for Worriers’ which helps those in the beginning of this journey because if you can’t control your anxiety and be mindful, it'll be very challenging to become your best self. This book spoke about acceptance, releasing fears, mindfulness, living in the moment, and how to act calm in certain unwanted situations to boost your personality and confidence. You know when you’re with someone you don’t like and you feel like you can't express yourself? This book speaks about that and I will too. Being mindful is so underestimated and unnoticed yet something crucial in our lives! Here are three methods to practice mindfulness (use book) 1. On nights you want to sleep earlier and feel refreshed, instead of scrolling through your phone, lie down in bed and listen to one of these meditations from a distance. 2. If you're feeling stressed during the day, I promise you this will fix it. Firstly, go and drink a glass of water and stand outside for a breath of fresh air. While you're outside, take 5 deep breaths in and out and detach yourself from your worries. Try your best to ignore them for 5 minutes and allow yourself to observe five things in your surroundings to distract you. Use your 5 senses and be creative. As you are drinking the water and being mindful, observe the sky and pick out as many beautiful aspects you can see. Then, listen closely to any interesting sounds you can hear like birds chirping, rustling leaves, rain, or other animals nearby. You can also think of what you're grateful for
and this will help you realise your stresses shouldn't have the power to take control over your mental health, well being and happiness. Now, think of 2 things you're excited for at this moment that you want to happen this week. This redirects your energy to beneficial matters and to a more positive perspective. I hope it helps! 3. Think of something/someone you're attached to and ask yourself why. Write down the reasons and dig deep. Imagine you are sad because you miss your ex best friend- why?- maybe you think you'll never meet someone like them and you're afraid you won't feel happiness- however, this isn't the case and you're just tricking yourself into believing that since you don't like leaving your comfort zone and understanding that you deserve to be happy. Moreover, people come and go and you must always be mindful of that since you shouldn't be obsessively dependent on them. Once you fulfil yourself, you’ll notice you aren’t a ‘half’ and don’t need someone else. Wanting somebody and needing somebody is different. Don’t rush into platonic/romantic relationships. This is how you avoid getting hurt, by being realistic and hopeful for the future since there will be neverending opportunities for you in love, career, adventures, etc. Learn to detach yourself from fears and ideas of outcomes when you should enjoy the positives right now. Instead of thinking ‘what if’ in a sabotaging way, say ‘what if it goes amazingly!’ Whoever is reading this should only be focused on reading this and avoid getting distracted (as an example). Being the best version of yourself is through positivity.
4. Think of a time during the week where you feel anxious to approach->why is that?-> how can you overcome it?: - feel the fear and do it anyway - fake confidence and it'll work - stand tall - think before you speak - listen to others - stand up for yourself if necessary but keep calm - stay polite and don't express anger/rage in front of others - react calmly when you're wrong and apologise if needed - speak to someone close about your feelings - truly ask yourself WHY you are afraid-> what is triggering you?-> keep working on your fears in your spare time and deepen your knowledge of yourself-> try to understand yourself and where your beliefs stem from?-> why aren't you enough? etc-> because someone treated you immorally and you think it's your fault, however it is theirs and because of one bad experience, you assume the rest will all be like that too?
These 4 methods to find mindfulness will help you realise that connecting to yourself to feel at peace is more important than doing 'productive' things whilst feeling chaotic and nervous. It's great to set some time in your day to reflect, calm down and look after yourself. 2--- What are affirmations? Affirmations are the repeated words or phrases one says to themselves in their mind or aloud in their daily lives. They create our reality and affect our moods and self-esteem so we should be mindful of how we choose to react to situations and be mentally mature and strong instead of lazy/weak/petty instead. There are subconscious and conscious thoughts, and the majority of people don't understand the power of their thoughts. I personally practice affirmations all throughout the day and I'll be sharing some of mine:
I am enough I am amazing I am in a constant state of perpetual happiness I love myself unconditionally I am successful I am achieving all my goals I respect myself I deserve to be happy I am living the life of my dreams I am in alignment with my higher self I am the best version of myself that exists I deserve healthy and reciprocated love I am confident and unapologetic I am wealthy and healthy I am rich I am a money magnet I am productive I am happy with my accomplishments I get all I want I am a hard worker
These affirmations also work as self reassurance because a lot of the time, we feel paranoia when we shouldn't, because things will work out for us. You can do your affirmations anywhere and anytime, either by writing them down in a journal, speaking them aloud while looking in the mirror, or in your head! Be cautious with how you talk to yourself. Others perceive you how you perceive yourself so be kind to yourself.
3--- Eliminating negative beliefs/ prejudiced core ideologies (i teach you how to get rid of generational negative self-talk and limiting beliefs so you can reaffirm your strengths and overcome them by journaling and affirming) Since our belief system is subconscious, if you are speaking negative affirmations, how can we reprogram our brain to make them positive? Firstly, you need to know what your thoughts are to change them. By consciously replacing your negative mindsets to positive ones, you are reprogramming the subconscious which is beyond effective. Did you know the subconscious mind believes absolutely everything the conscious mind tells it, so why not start saying all you want you already have? There is no point in extreme self-deprecation because in one way we shouldn't be egotistical and narcissistic yet we must be confident and secure with ourselves. Look at it this way, a humble and high self-esteem person can walk into a room and make heads turn and be valued without talking about their achievements or themselves. A narcissist needs reassurance and to feel superior. We must make people feel special and ask them
questions rather than speaking too highly of ourselves. It is clear that to leave one a good impression is to present security with oneself, without appearing too perfect, to be humble and be genuine. Don't let uneducated and low self esteem people prevent you from being confident.

The next time you catch yourself saying something bad about yourself or your life, alter that mindset to a positive one. Break the cycle of pitying/victimising yourself when it isn't benefiting you. Why choose to create a bad reality for yourself when you can literally reprogram your

Confidence is the key to success, happiness and self love and validation. Needing others’ validation damages our soul and ego! Create yourself a challenge to start today to be continued weekly, consisting of: - positive daily affirmations (set up a poster with words to affirm every morning) - a passion project to work on that you'll start and finish - improving your fitness life - improving your eating habits and boosting a healthy lifestyle - speaking kind words to others - drinking 8 glasses of water a day - improve your sleeping schedule - set a screen time limit - read 10 minutes of a book everyday - write down/speak of what you're grateful for every night - facing a fear such as speaking more in class if you’re shy

4--- Letting go of the past and remorse (before you can achieve your dreams and become your best self, you have to heal) The reason why you most likely feel that you don't deserve to be happy and successful is because of what you were told by your parents/teachers growing up. The love you didn't receive as a child can be filled with your self love and reassurance, you can help yourself. It's your life so live how you want to as long as you keep respecting everyone. How can you accept the past? Think of something that bothers you or that you regret-> why does it upset you?-> can you do anything about it?-> if so, then think of some solutions and take action- if not, then write down a letter for yourself explaining why you feel
the way you do and express yourself, feel the rage/sadness come out-> after that, throw the paper away, wipe your tears, get up, be confident and let it go!! Yes, it can be hard to accept situations that didn't turn out the way you wanted them to at the time, but the only thing you can do right now is move on. If you have the mindset that 'everything happens for a reason' maybe you have to learn from something to expand and grow for 'CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT'. Now, get on with your life and keep moving forward. Always learn from your mistakes and learn not to hold onto the past or else you'll never be happy or attract new amazing opportunities. Also, avoid bringing up your issues in front of new people, it is unattractive and most won't care. Why think about something from a long time ago when you're already doing so much better? Once you have healed from something, never go back. As contradictory as it sounds, the fastest way getting somewhere is going slowly. And as soon as you let go of the things you want but can't have, the closer you'll get the better of what you had wanted! Life will surprise you.
5--- Who do you want to be? Imagine if life was a movie and you were the film director and main character? Describe and write about that person. Do you wake up early and get your work done and make a lot of money or do you do nothing all day and pity yourself? By this stage you’ll have learned about healing as much as you can from trauma and false conceptions perpetuated in your brain which are now gone due to my help, and you can start living your dream life and become unstoppable. What is character development? In fiction, it's about the motivation and discipline of a character recreating themselves and acting 'as if' to get where they want after going through hardship. Why do this? Whenever you're ready to take a stand and choose to fix your issues with yourself and promote your good aspects, then do it. You always have the chance to improve yourself and upgrade your life, so this is your sign to do it now!! I personally think it is such a fun and exciting process.
Here are my methods on HOW to exactly achieve this: 1. Print out a picture of yourself and stick it in a page of a book 2. Get a pen and start writing words describing yourself around it 3. Choose adjectives that you wish you were (it doesn't matter if this isn't actually how you feel about yourself because soon it'll all be true) 4. Write down particular things about your desired self, such as what you do in your spare time, how you act, talk, think, feel, what your mindset is like, your passions, hobbies, clothing style, personality, intelligence, appearance, etc! 5. Once you've finished creating your best self, remember that this doesn't mean you shouldn't be yourself, stay authentically you, you're just improving and upgrading your best features and removing what you dislike about yourself
IT IS YOUR WORLD AND EVERYBODY ELSE IS JUST LIVING IN IT! So who do you want to be? Only your opinion of yourself (to an extent) is what truly matters. This picture of Belle the princess depicts a broken mirror with her face on all pieces. It’s showing us all the versions of her that she is looking into. It’s like a metaphor for all the sides of ourselves we have and all the different versions of ourselves others have in their minds. This could be applied to real life because you need to understand that your perception of yourself knowing everything about you, will definitely be different to someone who only sees you once a week at your dance class or music lesson, etc. The point is to not care too much about what people have got to say about you. Only some deserve to see the full picture and package of you. Moreover, this picture illustrates Belle’s reflection of herself. Did you know that I am you, you are me and we are all one. That must sound confusing yet I will explain. Everything you look at is a reflection of you because your mind processes information it sees and since we have our own prejudiced belief systems, we interpret everything from our own past experiences. Every opinion you have has got everything to do with yourself. ‘’One
person’s reality is hardly ever what everybody else sees on the outside, it’s their impression of what their world looks like. All your beliefs, attitudes, and views
are a part of how you approach new things in life and evaluate new people and new circumstances.’’ Start acting as if and faking it till you make it because it works!! Wake up every morning and listen to music that makes you happy, get dressed up the way you like, cheer on for yourself, dance, call a friend or say good morning to a family member, and overall try your best to start the day fresh and exciting. Be the person of your dreams now! Do tasks for yourself! Treat yourself how you want others to.

6--- How to kill your old self and rebirth? After you have found out who you want to be (without copying someone else and simply enhancing your best features to stay authentic of course) then whatever you don't like about yourself, work on it to remove it or fix it, etc. Also, think of people you’ll want to cut out of your life so you can PRIORITISE yourself Cut out people who you feel are bringing you down. Make sure to only surround yourself with like-minded positive people who will impact you in a good way. You become who you spend your time with and once you know this, you'll be more self-aware and cautious with who you allow to enter in your life & have access to you. Only be with those who deserve you because if someone cared for you, they'd truly put effort in. Never make excuses for
those who hurt you. Keep your head held high and avoid petty drama. Know that better people who deserve you will enter your life. Your new self must focus on you and nobody else. To 'kill your old self and rebirth' means to be decisive and stay true to yourself, and be unapologetic. You deserve to level up and ascend and work hard to succeed and excel in your passions. Motivation and discipline are necessary. Don't discourage yourself from improving yourself. It's much easier to repeat the negative pitiful cycle rather than pushing yourself to be successful and positive, yet we all know it is worth the pain, it is worth the tears and struggles. Imagine what life could look like in 10 years if you stay determined, focused, intelligent and resilient.
To rebirth is to start over. Have you ever heard the cliche about 'starting over and moving away'? Well, no one is stopping you, so start now. Moreover, stop worrying about what others will say. Are you really happy and living your life if you're constantly checking what others think for short-term validation? I know that not everyone will understand me, be able to figure me out, like me or accept me, yet I have learned to find pleasure from that. It can either be seen as intriguing and fun to be villainized or scary and miserable, yet as I have mentioned, you can
literally choose to believe what you want and create your desired life. I choose to see this as a positive and know that not everyone can like you, yet everyone should respect you, so be aware you set clear boundaries. I love that no one will figure me out and know my next moves, so try being mysterious too. If you're always up to something regarding hobbies, passion, growth and developing your style like I do, most people won't be able to catch up with you and that's when it's okay to 'gatekeep' yourself. Keep in mind that not everyone deserves or is worthy of your amazing energy and creative ideas, especially when they are clearly below you. Always always be kind to others and help when necessary (like I am now doing with sharing all the best tricks in my book) yet you must receive things in return because it is the bare minimum. Therefore move on and allow yourself to take control of situations and take back your power when others attempt to bring you down. Keep 'killing your old self' because it will boost your confidence and success. Stop fearing change due to others' judgement. No one is you and that's your superpower. What is MENTAL STRENGTH? - Avoid self-sabotage - Be firm with yourself sometimes to get your work done - Prioritise yourself - Stay away from negative people - Cheer on for others' successes like you would do for your own - Treat others how you'd want to be treated - Balance your physical, mental and emotional well being by taking breaks with certain activities - Don't worry about other people's opinions - Hype yourself up and know you deserve to feel good about yourself - All those things you're afraid to do you should be doing because they will help you get where you want to be - Be open to criticism - Be your number 1 fan and cheer for yourself - Be humble and confident - Have self love, not narcissism - Be proud of your achievements - Keep working towards your dreams even if you feel like giving up - Know that everything pays off in the end
7--- Show up as her/him/them Be consistent with the better version of you that you’ve created. Stop worrying about ‘finding yourself’ throughout this and just create yourself. Take pleasure in experimenting new things, whether that is watching a new genre of a film to educate yourself, cooking a new healthy meal, travelling somewhere unique, going out on a date, listening to a new podcast, etc. All these little goals will help you discover what you love. Keep this up and try your best not to go back into old habits consisting of self sabotage, insecurities, anxiety and self-doubt. It's the bare minimum to show up for yourself. Why hurt yourself and ruin a day by being negative when you deserve to feel amazing.
Treat yourself right, and never let others walk all over you. Be open to admitting when you are wrong, yet be cautious of those who are jealous of you and want what you have. It's clear that when you're becoming your best self you will lose friends and that is completely fine. They weren't meant for your higher self, only your worst self. Some people never level up and that's their issue, so don't try to fix others either, instead attract more positive successful people by being authentically you. We see ourselves in others, you are a reflection of me and I am a reflection of you, therefore if you don't like something about me, you don't like that about you. The only reason why one criticises or bullies another is because they'd dislike having that aspect of someone else on them. It stems from insecurities and prejudices, however some prejudices are good because we'd rather have hygienic friends and not insanitary ones. There are always limits and contradictions but that is why it's best to have conversations with clear communication with others to be understood and interpreted fairly. We all have the right to our own opinion and a lot in life regarding preferences is subjective, therefore being YOU and being authentically you is your choice, choose
to be fearless now. It is obvious when you are trying to please others and it isn't attractive.

4- The science of the brain regarding the psychology and philosophy Neuropeptides in our brain feed off of either negative or positive thoughts and feelings. It is something subconscious which you may not be fully aware of, but which may heavily influence your actions. You, listening to this, have most likely spent a lot of time in your life doubting yourself, listening to other people’s opinions, talking negatively about yourself, and not believing that you deserve to be abundant, happy and successful. Self-deprecation impacts you significantly. Whatever your circumstance may be or how you perceive it to be, is your responsibility, to an extent. Whether you like yourself and are satisfied with who you are, is determined by what information you are sending to your brain. What do you believe to be the truth? Are you stupid, ugly, unlikable and not enough or are you resilient, hopeful, compassionate and fun to be around? That is your choice. How you perceive yourself is how others perceive you. It sounds pretty general and basic, I know. However, would you believe the hundreds of times I have had my friends tell me they’re not good enough for a boy, due to patriarchal ideologies persisting in their brain.
The same thing goes for working to get your dream job. Are you going to that interview, knowing you deserve the job, with confidence and assuming success, or will you arrive there late, anxious and assuming the worst? The prefrontal cortex (PFC) is the cerebral cortex covering the front part of the frontal lobe. This brain region has been implicated in planning complex cognitive behaviour, personality expression, decision making, and moderating social behaviour.
Jim Carrey said ‘intention is everything’ and what does this mean? Nothing can be accomplished without setting an objective or purpose. If you don’t set a goal and know what you want or are going to do, nothing will ever happen. We subconsciously set intentions in our lives every second of the day. What is subconscious intention? a goal that one has not explicitly chosen to pursue or a motivational structure of which one is unaware but that nonetheless influences one's thought and behaviour. Jim Carrey is an amazing person and an inspiration. He not only talks about the power of positivity, but how to set a goal and visualise it, then work hard for it and get it.
According to Dr Bruce Lipton, “the beliefs we hold in our mind are converted to electromagnetic fields by nerve cells and our brain broadcasts this information to the cells in our body.” This means that the negative 2D reality life we create for ourselves can set our body into fight-mode preparing for the worst. Our brain also predicts actions we are going to take based on previous experiences and habits, which is why when people diagnosed with depression start to break out of their automatic negative mindset cycle, their brain craves self-sabotage and it is a challenge to overcome this.
Stimuli subliminal messages: These are words/phrases that your subconscious mind picks up on and encourages your brain to think/feel a new way. They are extremely effective and powerful and are easy to enable. You can simply create your own subliminals or listen to ones from youtube. Audio stimuli are ''sensory stimuli below an individual's threshold for conscious perception'' which shape a new way of thinking in your brain for the better. Subliminals can be found on youtube and you can also create your own, like I have. How to make subliminals: 1. Screen record a song you like 2. Voice record yourself talking affirmations over the song (I use the app CapCut) 3. Turn down the volume of your voice and speed it up
4. Play the song and make sure you barely hear the affirmations 5. You're done! Your subconscious mind will now pick up on the messages and create that reality for you in your mind regarding your BELIEF SYSTEM. This is how you reprogram the brain.
What can you make subliminals for?: - good grades (positive reinforcement) - a confident mentality (affirm 'i am confident' and pretend that you are) - a magnetic aura (how you present yourself as abundant and possibly glamorous) - getting your dream job (affirm that you already got accepted etc and speak of how you'd feel if it were the case) - getting your dream body (make affirmations of gratitude reinforcing the idea that your exercises have paid off and you do feel a change) - mental and physical glow ups (everything I mentioned above about becoming your best self can be done by affirming and pretending you are already all that you want to be, so record yourself talking about the NEW you and act like you have everything you want)

5- My goals with this project I am excited to be a part of Rise. I know I will be going far with my project and will be inspired by many amazing teachers and students worldwide who I have already listened to speak about their passions. I chose to take part in Rise because I have a strong desire to help others in one particular area. The mind. The mind is so powerful, whatever we speak in our mind and to ourselves, is a reflection of who we are, our prejudiced core beliefs, who we are becoming and how we see the world around us. What kind of life are we creating for ourselves? A better one, filled with love and compassion, or a self-hatred, negative one?
6- Why this will 100% benefit you Think about a time you were little when you were your most authentic self, where nothing was influencing you negatively and where you felt your happiest and that you could achieve anything. Maybe you wanted to be a superstar singer or an astronaut or fund millions of dollars for a charity but an adult told you it was ‘unrealistic’. Little did you know they were only projecting their insecurities and feelings of unworthiness onto you, for you to continue that dissatisfied line of thinking. With this project, you'll not only have created a better version of yourself, but
discovered what makes you happy and what passion you'll pursue right now that'll boost your success in the future. I know my field is female empowerment, positive psychology and philosophy.
You'll be shocked when you read this, but by following my steps and learning from these resources, not only will you learn how to love yourself and live your dream life as if in a movie, you'll: - attract a love life when you least expect to - get better friends - excel in your passion - respect and value others more - appreciate all good aspects of your life - understand others' ideologies and belief systems - be able to change your mind and perception - become a mentally stronger person - gain more knowledge on the human brain - have the motivation to push yourself and reward yourself when you succeed - be able to solely see the brightness of your future without anxiety
- take a more realistic approach to issues in your life - have all the help you need to learn how to control your emotions and express them in effective ways - know how to let go of the past and look forward to your upcoming days - feel much more secure about yourself
Did you know that when starting this project, most of my work got deleted and I had to restart it in a short period of time. I felt stressed, I cried and I complained. Little did I know, I would find a better blog site, better vocabulary and more passion inside of me to improve what I had written and show myself I could overcome the challenge of temporary obstacles. That is resilience and I know all of you will become more resilient in your lives now. Thank you so much for reading all of this until the end. I truly hope this has changed some areas in your life, or at least made you question your worldview. Moreover, before changing the world, you must change yourself. No external change can occur, if no internal change occurs.
Becoming the best version of yourself is an everlasting journey and is difficult. The most successful people know that we never stop learning either, therefore don't be stubborn. Go start listening to others' advice because there's always others out there who know more than we do. I personally feel like I have so much more to learn and it is an amazing feeling.
