François Roca “It was after I met Gérald and Dice in Paris that they asked me to contribute to Sketchtravel. I was the first contributor to the project, but I didn’t dare take the first page. Ladies first, in this case, Rébecca Dautremer. I was far from suspecting the importance and the duration of the voyage of this notebook, enriched by each of the many contributions by so many talented artists. I have only one regret, that the adventure is over, for now? . . .”

Leuyen Pham “I was very happy to be one of the last to receive the book, because it gave me the opportunity to see it when it was almost done. I needed an extraordinary effort not to steal anything, there were so many beautiful things . . .”

Gérald Guerlais

Gérald Guerlais “Having started the project, I couldn’t keep myself from worrying that I was not of the stature of the artists that inspired me so much. In this picture, I only succeeded in drawing a bit like Mike Knapp. If I could do it over, I would change the composition and add color. We were supposed to sketch, but then in the following pages, the idea evolved . . .”
