My Introduction Hi, my name is Jennifer. I like to call myself a jack of all trades. By daytime I am the Administrative Assistant and Office Manager for North Shore Neon Sign Co., who happen to be one of the biggest and most easily recognized sign companies here in New York City. We have worked on everything from smaller projects like bank conversions to larger projects like the fabrication of all the signs at the HERSHEYS TIMES SQUARE store and all the LED screens at CitiField, Barclays Arena and the newer American Eagle and Forever 21 stores in the heart of Times Square. I am a graduate of NY College of Health Professions and am a NY State Licensed Massage Therapist. I love being able to help people with massage. To make a difference in someone’s life by giving them a treatment and just being there for them is the most amazing feeling – and I get to do that for people. I help my clients reconnect with themselves during their massage. I have worked both in spas, at concert venues and privately. I am comfortable, respectful and professional in all environments. I have high morals, values and ethics so your privacy receives the most utmost respect. I also happen to be very easy-going, warm and friendly. I have great energy and believe that a smile can make an impact on someone else’s day. I adapt each treatment to be customized to the individual client’s needs which means no two treatments are the same.

Other Education NY College of Health Professions Here I received an Associate in Occupational Studies degree in Massage Therapy. It is a 72 credit program. My studies included Western health sciences, Oriental anatomy and physiology, European and Asian techniques; thereby learning to tailor treatment to the patient's condition. Also spent a portion of my clinical internship working in the office to gain experience in scheduling and the importance of record storage. Some of the my courses included: Deep Tissue This form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Aromatherapy Pure aromatherapy blends are added to massage oils for a total relaxing effect Prenatal Massage Pregnancy Massage is a style of bodywork designed specifically for pregnant women. Pregnancy is a time when a woman's body endures tremendous stress due to dramatic physical and emotional changes. Using various techniques specially developed for the expecting mother, Pregnancy Massage helps release the pain and discomfort experienced throughout pregnancy. The benefits are profound, including emotional support, the relief of joint pain due to extra weight and postural imbalance, and improved breathing and relaxation Sports Massage/ Stretching It is a manual treatment that combines a several short, controlled stretches with intervals of relaxation. This method overrides your muscles tendency to contract when stretched tight. If you suffer from neck, back, shoulder, hip or knee pain or stiffness, AIS is a safe solution that provides relief quickly. Massage is included in this session Hot Stone Massage Hot Stone Therapy is a style of massage where heated stones are placed at specific sites on your body to deepen relaxation and promote circulation in your muscles. Muscles that are heated with these stones release tension and stress much more deeply and quickly than with a traditional massage.

FUN FACTS Sign Company Facts: I was originally hired as a receptionist to solely answer phones. Over the course of less of one year worked my way up to Office Manager and Administrative Assistant. I am part of the company that brought to you some of the most recognizable icons found in Times Square – this includes HERSHEYS, Phantom of the Opera billboard, advertising for Mary Poppins and Addams Family in the theatre district, along with all the screens at CitiField and the new Barclays Arena.
Massage Fun Facts Upon graduation I have worked with what we like to call “weekend warriors” – specifically those who like to compete in the popular Tough Mudder races. I worked with them during and after their training period to help them be the best that they can be. I worked for a year with Dr. Dot – Massages to the Stars. This is a huge honor and accomplishment. Along with the “average Joe” who received massages, we worked on many different celebrities. I had the pleasure to work on the crew of WALKING WITH DINOSAURS, Bryan Hicks – the narrator for the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and the singer Alex Band – who was also part of the band named The Calling.
Personal Facts This year I participated in Citifield’s 1st SPARTAN RACE. Spartan Race is a series of obstacle races of approximately 3 miles with obstacles that went throughout the stadium. In a Spartan Race event, "participants will confront obstacles ranging from extreme to absurd that gain their inspiration from sources as varied as Spartan training, Navy SEAL training and American Gladiators".[1] ESPN describes the Spartan Race as "a true test of will." I am proud to say that my team completed the course in approximately 1 hour and 35 minutes. While challenging, it was a great accomplishment to be able to compete and finish the course.
