The MC Seychelles’ story all began about 8 years ago with Michel Chetty, who started with a tour guide business with a 12 seater bus. After completing a tour guide course, he started taking clients for tours all over the island of Praslin. Two years later, he encouraged his father to join the business as the number of clients was on the increase and there was a growing demand for transfers. Michel started a service with an 8 seater mini van and around 5 years ago he had a vision to launch a self-catering accommodation business. Constantly working with tourists, he has able to effectively gauge demand and at the time it was clear that there was a distinct gap in the market for this style of holiday let. Michel constructed a one bedroom apartment and launched what is now known as MC Selfcatering, which is still going strong to date. With a great demand for car rental on the island, Michel often found himself unable to hire a transport for his MC Selfcatering clients and so decided to invest, along with his girlfriend, in a car rental company; MC Rent a Car. Originally launching with a 5 car fleet, the company now boast a fleet of 9 brand new cars, ranging from 5 seater to 7 seater. As demand for transfers was also on the rise, the company extended their offering to mini bus services, now known as the MC Bus Service, which operates 2 brand new Toyota Hiace 16 seater buses. The family business now comprises of MC Tours, MC Taxi Service, MC Car Rental, MC Selfcatering and MC Bus Services, all of which fall under the umbrella company title of MC Seychelles.
