DANISH PASTRY
Danish Pastry Year: 1880. Viggo Schulstad, at just 32 years of age, opened a bakery in the small town of Copenhagen. Viggo was an ambitions young man, and wanted his bakery to be the best in town. It was not long before he achieved his goal. Meanwhile, Copenhagen was growing fast, and so was the number of mouths to feed. Viggo began looking for new solutions. With professor Ludvigsen’s help, he then introduced a dough mixer and innovative production processes. Once Schulstad bakery products became available to everyone, they quickly became the most popular across Denmark. Today Schulstad is our brand of signature pastries.
