INTRODUCTION TO MACHINING AT MADISON HIGH SCHOOL Class is an introduction to basic machining. Wide range of machine shop skills will be covered. Upon completion of the course, students will have a workable understanding of machine shop safety, blueprint reading, measuring tools, hand tools, material characteristics, quality inspection, and the use of manual machine shop equipment. Class will also include machine shop related math functions and an introduction to basic CNC programming. See page 23 for details. A-B Tech Madison Effective Teacher Training for Substitute Teachers

This class is required for those looking to become a substitute teacher in area schools, but is also great for others that are interested in teaching youth, as a career or in community organizations. Learn how to cultivate relationships with school personnel, utilize different instructional strategies, develop lesson and classroom management plans, and more! Class meets in person one night per week plus 15 hours online. Class also meets on Tuesday, September 7th. Prerequisite: high school diploma or GED. Machining Fundamentals

Take a step toward a new career in machining by learning to operate drill presses, milling machines, saws and bench grinders. During this course you will work hands-on with actual equipment to learn basic automated machining.
