GoodWest Iced Coffee Program Guide 1.) When your Iced Coffee Machine arrives: All GoodWest equipment is transported by UPS. If you are not immediately ready to install the machine please take care in setting it aside.

Your machine will arrive with the power cord, legs and drip tray packaged inside the top of the unit where the product would normally be placed simply undo the clips securing the lid and remove these parts. If damage is noted upon arrival call 800.948.1922 immediately.

The machine operates on a normal 120 volt outlet. Plug the cord into the rear of the machine and then into the electrical outlet. It doesn’t necessarily need to be a dedicated circuit but it should not be plugged into an outlet that is shared by numerous other machines. Installing the (4) legs is easy; They simply screw into the threaded holes in the bottom of the machine. The drip tray holder slips into the slots in the front of the machine. The plastic tray can then be inserted into the holder and the grid placed on top of the tray.

Please monitor the temperature of the machine for the first 24 hours. This refrigerated dispensing unit is designed to maintain product temperature between 34-40 degrees. Our experience has been that a tempature problem will normally occur within the first 24 hours of operation.

2.) To load the machine: The shelf stable iced coffee does not need to be refrigerated.

-Remove the upper valve plate and set aside.

-Remove the empty bag.

- Take the bag of iced coffee from the case with a nozzle.

-Shake the bag briefly and vigorously in case product separation has occurred.

-Place the bag on the counter with the nozzle facing up.

-Remove the tab covering the seal.

-Insert the nozzle into the fitment and through the seal making sure that it snaps into place and that there is no space between the nozzle and the fitment. The nozzles are designed for one time use and cannot be removed once inserted properly. Do not load the bag into the machine and then insert the nozzle. This makes it more difficult to get a good connection.

-Elevate the bag holding it from the rear. Guide the nozzle into the slot using the last ‘ring’ on the fitment. Pull the bag forward to facilitate evacuation.

-Once the bag is in place, lock the nozzle in with the upper valve plate and lower the lid. Inspect for a tight fit and secure the lid latches.

-Once opened, a bag of the iced coffee is guaranteed to be 100% saleable for up to (15) days at temperature.

-A window sign, in-store dangler and an “Add Ice” sign are included with the iced coffee machine. They should be installed at this time.

As previously mentioned our product does not require refrigeration until the seal is broken. If you anticipate running out of a flavor during your shift, it is beneficial to pre-chill a bag or a case by placing it under refrigeration. This will ensure that the customer is getting a properly chilled product.

It is important that the Iced Coffee Machine is placed near an ice source. This product is meant to be served chilled. Not adding ice will negatively affect the case yield and the gross margin of the program.

Once the bag is empty remove it from the unit. The bag and nozzle are completely disposable; They cannot be re-used. Other than wiping out the drip tray, there is no maintenance involved.

This program will be a profitable addition to your Coffee/Beverage bar.
