The Academy for Progress operates on the premise that leadership training and development is an integral part of lifelong learning. We have a need for strong, progressive, innovative individuals in leadership roles to cultivate success instead of failure and growth instead of stagnation. The Community Education Coalition’s Academy for Progress strengthens our region by engaging and empowering our greatest asset – our people. The focus of this initiative is purely on people. We believe there is a wealth of leadership potential in Eastern Indiana. The Academy for Progress is based on 3 principles: • Progress is the outcome of a solid skill base which is entrepreneurially focused • Progress is creative and innovative • Progress solves forward - anticipating growth and future outcomes. Applied to the community setting, “Successful” communities solve problems and fix things. “Progressive” communities create, solve forward, and add value.
