Carmela is very excited to participate in this year’s production of The Tempest alongside many of her friends. Having the opportunity to take part in sound production, she has met many new faces and continues to learn from others around her. This is Justine’s second-ever OLP theater production, and Justine is very excited. Justine first experienced what drama can be like during The Greeks. Justine is excited to experience a much more rigorous style of work! Justine hopes that you enjoy this year’s production, and costumes!

VALETTA

Valetta Grimm is a freshman at Our Lady of Peace. She is thrilled to play a sprite in this year’s fall production, The Tempest . At a young age, Valetta took an interest in the arts, learning ballet and tap. This brought her to study at Junior Theatre at Balboa Park. She hopes you enjoy the play!

FRIGERIO ‘23 Stage Manager

Lora is beyond excited for you to see OLP’s production of The Tempest! Not only is this Lora’s seventh OLP production, but also it’s also her second production as stage manager. She’s so happy that she got to spend the first part of her senior year with some of the best people that she’s ever met and she’s so proud of everyone who was part of this show. She wants to thank her family and her best friends for all their love and support. Bye for now! See you in the spring!

IZZY HEMMENS ‘25 Sets/Props Design

Izzy was so excited to join the crew this year and do set construction. It is her first time being part of a drama production at OLP and she absolutely loves it. She has built so many friendships from it and she has learned a lot of new things. She would like to thank her mom and dad for driving her to all the practices and for supporting her with this commitment. She hopes you enjoy the show!

JAMIE HO ‘25

Trinculo

This is Jamie’s fourth performance at OLP and Jamie is extremely excited. Previous roles include Mad Hatter in Shrek, Mad Hatter in Spring Sing ‘22, and Agamemnon in The Greeks. Jamie would like to thank friends and family for everything they’ve done. Jamie hopes you enjoy the play!! :)

ALYSSA HOULGIN ‘25 Gonzalo and Sprite

Alyssa is excited to play the overly-optimistic Gonzalo in her third show with OLP drama. As a freshman, she played Young Fiona in Shrek: the Musical and Miss Henderson in The Greeks . When she’s not in school or practicing her lines, she enjoys spending time with her family, taking care of her turtle, or playing cello with the San Diego Youth Symphony. She thanks her family and friends for all of their support and she hopes you enjoy the show!

EMIKO HINA ‘24 Lighting Design

Emiko has been working with the thespians club since freshman year, and “The Tempest” will be her first production working with lights. Everyone has been working so hard, and she is incredibly proud. She would like to thank her mother for funding her UberEats ™.

MAGGIE HOLCOMB ‘24 Production Manager

Maggie is thrilled to be serving as Production Manager for The Tempest. This is Maggie’s third show with OLP Drama as a part of Management, having been the Assistant Director of “Shrek the Musical ‘’ and the Production Manager for “The Iliad, the Odyssey and All of Greek Mythology in 99 Minutes or Less.” Other Productions at the Academy include: Newsboy in “Women’s Suffrage Project”, Actor in Freshman Spring Thing, Production Manager and Zazu in the “Disney Dinner Party”, Producer of the 2022 “One Acts Play Festival,” & Stage Manager of “So You Had a Bad Date” & “Till Death Do Us Part” Maggie would like to thank friends and family for all of their love and support.
