Maybe it’s that picture perfect moment on campus, a lesson in the classroom or on the court, a lifelong friendship, or the development of a passion for what matters to you. As a graduate, you know Acadia, but do you realize how important you are to Acadia today?

A gift from you can help students reach their goals, enrich vibrant communities, and sustain our university. It will have an effect now and leave a legacy for future generations of Acadia students.
How do you remember Acadia? This year, we are asking you to take a moment and remember Acadia — share your stories and photos with us. Through the Annual Alumni Appeal, you can also contribute and make a difference. A gift from you can: • Inspire and enable bright young minds to experience an increasingly rare educational opportunity at one of Canada’s best institutions; • Support an area of study, a project, or a student activity that interests you;
• Motivate and encourage student-athletes in their pursuit of excellence; • Help researchers (faculty working with students) to discover answers to life’s questions; • Preserve and protect the beautiful campus and buildings that are part of Acadia’s heritage; • Give back by directing your gift to support the university’s area of greatest need.

Acadia’s top-notch Kinesiology program and beautiful campus made it Paige’s only choice. Varsity soccer and a scholarship completed her Acadia dreams. Future plans? Maybe physiotherapy, but keeping her options open.
Paige Bagnall, Kinesiology Dartmouth, NS “Acadia alumni know how important their support is; they were in our shoes when they were here. Providing great facilities like Raymond Field gives all students a sense of pride. And a scholarship takes the pressure off me so I can focus on my studies and my sport. Acadia has such great spirit — it’s a real community. I really appreciate it all.”

As a scholarship recipient, Kyle makes the most of his time on campus volunteering with S.M.I.L.E. to help children with special needs. He is also a leader in the Acadia Students’ Union. Future plans? Law school.
Kyle Power, Political Science New Glasgow, NS “When it came to choosing where I would attend university, Acadia just stood out. I was offered financial rewards for my efforts in high school, and more support as I progressed through my program. It has allowed me to focus on developing my leadership skills. Thank you for making my university experience the best in my life.”

Aminah is still moved by the generosity of strangers. Her journey to Acadia began in a refugee camp in Kenya, where her family remains. Future plans? Finding a way to help her family.
Aminah Gedi, Business Administration Somalia “Coming to Acadia has not only given me a chance at a better life, it most likely saved my life. I still find it hard to believe that the Acadia family reached out and helped sponsor me to attend Acadia. You saw me through the darkness. I cannot thank each of you enough.
