INTRODUCTION It was above all intuition that inspired us to begin the restoration of part of the hamlet of Commeire - a passion for the mountains and nature and the desire to preserve the architectural and cultural legacy of this magnificent region. From the very beginning, we wanted to share the positive emotions we have always felt in this extraordinary place with as many people as possible. An energy both invigorating and relaxing emerges from this area. We also attempted to create a new type of business, more in line with nature’s own rhythm, in harmony with the environment, local traditions and local villagers. We genuinely wanted to develop the most responsible business possible and were determined to put that aim at the very heart of our strategy. Today, we remain convinced that it is the best way to create lasting success- not just for Montagne Alternative but also for our clients, collaborators, producers, partners, shareholders, the environment and the local community. After a stay in Commeire our clients, whether they come as part of a business or as individuals, share with us their immense satisfaction and enthusiasm for our project. It is not only visitors who are satisfied: villagers, residents of the valley, local authorities and construction companies, as well as our financial partners, incite us to pursue and complete the development of this unique village-hotel. We thank each and every one of them for their continued support and comittment, especially our clients who return year after year in ever-greater numbers. In line with our initial project and after seven years on the ground, we have decided to push ahead with renovation plans which will be completed by the end of 2014. This authentic hotel-village – with 32 bedrooms, five meeting rooms, a restaurant and spa spread across 11 buildings –creates a unique destination for individuals or companies looking to reconnect: with themselves, each other and nature. We would like to thank everyone who has supported this project and made it happen. Long may it continue, and long may it bring happiness to those that experience it each and every season of the year.

AGORA In ancient Greece, the Agora was the meeting place, the bustling market of the town. It was an essential component of antique towns, so much so that Aristotle considered the Barbarians uncivilised because they did not have an Agora. In Commeire, the Agora - a renovated building that dates from 1730 -is at the heart of the village and constitutes the heart of Montagne Alternative. A place to meet, mingle and eat, the Agora will consist of a restaurant, two multipurpose rooms, the reception for the village-hotel and an observatory to look at the stars. DELIVERY DUE IN 2 014

En In French-speaking Switzerland a “carnotzet” is a small converted cellar where friends can get together to store – but more importantly to taste - good wines. It is also just the place for getting stuck into local specialties like bread, fondue, raclette, dried meats and cheeses – and so the perfect space for a social gathering with friends, family or colleagues. The carnozet “Chez Berard” is in the middle of the village.
