Coral House
Since its creation in 2000, architectural firm Group8 has worked on a number of key projects in Geneva. including a revamp of the WTO and a radical transformation of the Red Cross Museum, due to reopen . in 2013. as Coral House, completed in 2011, is part of the residential reclamation of an industrial site (the lime-green Bamboo House next door is another Group8 design)_ The facade is covered in red,

Rising high above Plain palais, this 1972 tower houses the HQ of French-speaking Swiss television network TSR. l1's one of very few towers in Geneva - the only other central building that makes such an impact on the skyline is the InterContinental hotel (see p020). The offices and studios were refurbished in 2010 by award-wirining local practice Devanthéry & Lamunière, also behind the colourful École de Cressy (Rue
EdouardNaliet 16) in Confignon and the Montagne Alternative resort (T 027 783 2134).in Valais. Here, they kept the original cancrele structure, inserted three large atriums and wrapped the lot in a pixel-inspired facade of glass and stainless-steel panels that opens up the previously fortress-like structure, and also reflects the surrounding buildings.
