He was previously the Curator of Decorative Arts for the Baltimore Museum of Art, and the Curator of Collections and Coordinator of Education for Boscobel Restoration, Inc. Abbott is coauthor, with Elaine Rice, of Designing Camelot: The Kennedy Restoration of the White House. A graduate of Vassar College and the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York, he is a lecturer in the field of decorative arts, specializing in the history of presidential taste and 20th-century design.
